Pupusa with chicken and pork
Nick F.

This was my first time having Salvadorian food. This place was not easy to fine but there is plenty of room inside. I was told by my coworkers that this place was pretty good. I've always heard of pupusas but never had a chance to try them until now. I got myself the pork and chicken with cheese pupusas. If you've never had pupusas before, it's like a stuffed pancake, and two is more than enough for a grown man. What also is crucial to have with it is the pickled cabbage and the tomato-based sauce that comes with it. It may seem like a weird combination but it actually works well and complements the dish. My coworkers also ordered pupusas and they also order fried plantains that came with a sour cream dip and what I only assume was a molé sauce. Turns out that sauce was made from a type of bean; nonetheless, I lost a bet and now I owe my coworker a beer LOL. I would have to try some different dishes before I give my full opinion about Salvadorian food. But as of right now I would call it pretty good.

Great ! Clean ! Wonderful service ! Wonderful food... hidden jewel , be careful .... it's carb overload but boy is it worth it !

Free starter tortilla strips and beans with cheese! Yum!!

Great tasty salvadorean food. Carne asada chorizo plate is the best! The mixed pupusas are excellent. Restaurant is recently remodeled, super clean, great service. Most soots give you stale chips, this place gives a fried thick tortilla strip with beans and salvadorean cheese. I come just for these bad boys! I'm a huge critic but this place gets me right in my tummy! Two thumbs up!

Bistec encebollado! Bomb.

My boyfriend and I came in on a Friday night, so we expected a wait. The hostess took our name and…read moretold us it would be about 20 minutes, so we happily went outside to wait since the lobby is tiny and the staff looked like they were fighting for their lives. As we waited, I started noticing something interesting: two parties who came in after us were seated immediately. Then almost 30 minutes went by. At that point, I poked my head back in and said, "Hey, we put our name down about 30 minutes ago, and I've noticed people coming in and getting seats." Immediately, the hostess who originally helped us said, "Yes, yes... sorry about that. You can choose a table right now." So apparently our table had been available in the Witness Protection Program. To make matters worse, we were seated next to one of the parties that arrived after us, and we got to enjoy the thrilling experience of watching them receive their food before we even ordered. The food itself was good overall. The only miss for me was the mac and cheese, which tasted like KFC mac and cheese that had a passionate encounter with a jar of jalapeño juice. Would I come back? Maybe. The food was decent, but for a first visit, the service definitely left a stronger impression than the meal did.

Chicken Tinga empanadas. The Canadian chicken and Micheladas. Everything was tasty. The Michelada mix was tasty also, visually appealing Service checked on us constantly to make sure we had everything we needed. They had TVs that we were able to watch the soccer game. Overall, it was a great experience and we will return. Tasty food, relaxing area. I could see it being a great hang out with the bar area We went for lunch they had lunch specials, next time I want to try the chicken tostada salad. It looked yummy.

We ordered takeout and were pleasantly surprised they still accepted our order only 30 minutes before closing. I had the mushroom wrap because it seemed like a healthier option. The vegetables inside were cooked well and nicely seasoned, but the wrap itself was a little dry. It came with a salad, which was a nice addition. I'd still return for the wrap. The garlic fries were really good, and the nachos were nice and saucy. The rice that came with the dinner plate, however, was overcooked and mushy. Overall, a decent experience with a few standout items.

The food came out fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. We ordered the chilaquiles and the machaca. The chilaquiles were definitely my favorite, while my husband really enjoyed the machaca. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. We'll definitely be back!

It seems to be a popular spot with the older crowd, and the menu offers a nice mix of Mexican American dishes along with traditional American breakfast favorites. I ordered the asada chilaquiles verdes with over easy eggs, and my little one had the kids' French toast. The food was really good overall. The green sauce was flavorful, the portions were generous, and the French toast was delicious. The only downside was that the carne asada had a slightly off taste, which took away from an otherwise enjoyable meal. My biggest surprise was the price. For an old school diner, I found it to be on the expensive side. The café de olla was $6.99, my son's orange juice was over $5, and even the small add-ons were priced higher than expected. Breakfast for just the two of us came to about $60 with tip. I'm usually used to spending about half that amount for myself and my 3 year old. Overall, the breakfast was tasty, and I enjoyed the food. If price isn't a concern, it's worth checking out, but the cost would probably make me think twice before coming back regularly..
