I don't like writing bad reviews at all and I like giving chances before I consider writing one. I was hoping the service and food would improve but to no avail. This time was the last straw. Worst service ever! Waited so long to finally get our orders taken. It took 20 minutes to finally get our waters. We had to ask several servers to assist us. Total time before we received our food was more than 40 minutes. Both hubby and son ordered Caldo de Res. ( Beef Soup )The soup made my husband want to vomit. Dry stale hard beef and no flavor. Son barely touched the soup and he was disappointed. Waitress asked how the food was and after telling her she looked at us with no care and walked away. Burrito con Chile Verde was blah! An amazing dining experience. I can feel a good please once I step into the room. The staff were very friendly and had smiles on each of their faces. The menu has photos of the meals so it was easy for my father to choose his man of choice for the night. We shared the chiles guerritos, FABULOUS! I also has the tostada de camarones aguachiles. Worst staff ever!! I came to pick up an order and some lady started speaking to me in Spanish and I told her that I didn't speak Spanish and she continued speaking in the language. A few moments after she gave me attitude IN ENGLISH that she didn't receive a call for my order. I hope I never have to pick up an order from here ever again. As we entered the restaurant with our Starbucks coffee we were told "no outside drinks" so we left and took our business down the street to Mundos restaurant where they didn't seem to care about our coffee's in their restaurant. I love this place. My friend and I go every week. We usually go about 2:30 pm when they are not quite as busy. The chili Verdi enchilada is scrumptious! All of their sizzling fajitas are fabulous. I travel to the desert for work on occasion and I have the bad habit of frequenting the same restaurants each time I go...this time however I decided to try something different...well a different restaurant. One thing I like to do when frequenting a New Mexican place is order me a Michelada cause I love beer...the Michelada was a decent size and it was a tangy spicy not an I'm on fire after 3 sips spicy. I ordered my fave a large shrimp cocktail with extra avocado cause my boss gives me a meal credit that I'm not about to let go to waste...the shrimp were plenty and the sauce just needed a bit of catsup (don't judge), tapatio, lime, and salt to bring it to perfection...they provided saltine crackers. This restaurant continues to serve amazing food, but unfortunately, I cannot give it any more than 1 star for their terrible service. Both times I've been here for dinner. The first time, I fell in love with their food. That's what brought me back the second time. I don't trust anyone else in the desert to make authentic Mexican food. However, after my second experience, I won't be coming back until their management makes some changes. For the food: Fresh chips and salsa (warning: might be slightly spicy). Amazing tacos (Al pastor has been my favorite) only ~$1.25. Plus $1 each for rice and beans. Delicious campechana (seafood cocktail) has avocado slices and comes with crackers. Burrito is big enough for 1-2 people and just enough cheese. For the service: My bf and I had just gone to the gym, so we were both really hungry, which really didn't help. We stood by the door waiting to be seated. After some tables looked up at us, we decided to approach the lady at the register to get her attention. She looked up and continued her business. After a minute, my bf got her attention, and she pointed to a table in the back corner. We seated ourselves and waited for the menus. A guy rushed over with the menu and said "I'll be right back, ok?" with a pleading look in his eyes. He came back after 5 minutes to get our drinks. He promised to have the chips and salsa when he came back with the drinks. Yea, he got that right, but after another 5 minutes. In less than 5 minutes, we finished our chips. I thought we'd get our food soon, so we waited some more. When I couldn't stand my hunger, my bf had to walk up to one of the girls to get us some more chips. She said ok, but we got nothing after 10 minutes. My bf went up a second time to ask her what happened, but still nothing after 5 minutes. My bf flags the guy down, who came back with chips 5 minutes later. We waited for over 40 minutes before getting our 2 tacos and 1 burrito (enchilada style). During the meal, it was impossible to flag down any of the servers because either they were absent or never near us in the back of the room. After I finished eating, I was still hungry, so my bf walked up to the girl a third time to get some more chips. She responded "I'll try", but her voice said "not a chance". That was the last straw After more minutes of waiting, I gave up on those chips. We were ignored for a good half hour. We were forced to walk up to you to get your attention. Then when we do have your attention, you don't follow up. That to me is unacceptable. read more

Love it! I was in town for a retreat with my church and the wifey and I had to get out and connect over some great food. We have not had any great food experiences in the Palm Springs area and drove around for a while until we found this place. Lets just say that we ended up here two days in a row for lunch and caught both the USA and Mexico FIFA games. If I am remembering correctly, we also ordered some marlin and shrimp cheese tacos that were amazing, but don't quote me on that. If this I am remembering this correctly though, the marlin was very smokey and greasy and delicious. The drinks were a bit on the expensive side (I think it was $8 for a margarita), but the micheladas were good. small place with a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Fresh seafood is their specialty but they have all the traditional dishes. We enjoyed chorizo and eggs with pan-fried potatoes instead of the usual rice. It was excellent. The full bar is awesome for Bloody Mary's, Margaritas and Mechaladas. Homemade chips and salsa and great, fresh corn tortillas. Came from Orange County for a family reunion and came here to meet up with some family. I'm a big Michelada fan but it's rare to find a place that makes them well; I've had my share of bad ones. THALIA just made us the BEST EVER Michelada. She's awesome! Great attitude and very pleasant. Our table had shrimp burritos, lengua taco, shrimp cocktail and carne asada quesadilla. Everything was really good. The only thing they could work on is having more staff or being more attentive of customers walking in and the time it takes to get a menu and drinks. So my son actually found this spot online and since we were in the area we decided to stop. The e stablishment itself is a very beautiful building. The lady who helped us during Covid 19 lockdown was very nice. She offered us all a nice alcoholic beverage. One son ordered the nacho asada and another had California fries. I had a combo plate, carne asada and beef enchiladas with rice and beans. While they received exactly what they asked for, I in the other hand ended up with an enchilada tamale combo plate with rice and beans. The enchiladas looked tasty and even though my order was incorrect, I had already paid the $78 for the entire meal, and we had already pulled off from the restaurant, I just decided to try the tamale anyways. After taking a few bites of everything, I then realized WHY the young woman pushed the drink menu so hard. The tamale was dry and the enchilada looks were very deceiving. The boys were equally upset with their choices. There was no love put into the making of this food, and no passion either. She must have taken then passion and love and thrown it all into my Bahama Mama! Because after taking a few sips of the drink, I found out where she left her heart!!! Maybe another trip some other time might make my opinion of this restaurant elevate, but as far as food wise, it's 1 star at best. The cantina however...10 stars! Way to go on the drink!!! This is a wonderful Taqueria located in a strip mall. The food is outstanding and the waitstaff is very nice and accommodating. Full service bar and fresh tasting food. The salsa and chips were wonderful and may I mention the peppers are roasted for the salsa giving it a nice, lightly smoked taste that goes well with the freshly made chips. I had the Pazole and it was wonderful. Lots of accompaniments come along with the Pazole such as onion, dried oregano, radish, lemon, limes and so on. I plan on returning and doing their happy hour.
