Best Mexican food in Georgetown! This is an incredible little restaurant, They have a great selection of meats & platters. I have never had better chips and salsa. The Price is so good & The food is even better. If you stop by keep in mind most people who come here visit frequently, its a staple for locals. They also make and sell their tortillas which are sooo delicious. We love going there, and, I have to say that it is our favorite Mexican restaurant. I've gone to this place for breakfast several times and always had a good experience. I've been excited to try them for lunch and unfortunately had one of the worst lunch experiences of my life. First the food literally took 45 minutes to come after we ordered it. It wasn't busy or anything, there were only 2 other groups in the entire restaurant. I have no idea how it could take 45 minutes to prepare two tacos and fajitas, but it did. If that was the only issue I would still be chill about it, but there's more. We each ordered a side of guacamole with our lunch that didn't come when the food finally came. We reminded the server and she said "oh yeah" and ran off. I wanted the guacamole with my lunch so I was waiting for it to come before I started eating. We waited 5 more minutes and it still hadn't come. Meanwhile the restaurant is almost empty so they definitely weren't busy. I flagged the server down again and asked about the guacamole and she said "oh yeah" and ran off again like she had forgotten. I keep waiting, but after 5 more minutes my food is literally getting cold so I finally start eating even without the guacamole. My wife has already completely finished her food. It took ANOTHER 5 minutes for her to finally bring the guacamole out. Meanwhile I am nearly done with my lunch, and my wife has been done for quite a while. I told the server that I wasn't going to pay for the guacamole because I was almost done with lunch, and she said OK and left it on the table. I ate about half of one of the sides of guac with the remainder of my lunch, and then went up to pay. I saw that the guacamole was still on the check so I told the cashier that it didn't come until we were nearly done with our lunch and that I already told the server I wouldn't pay for it and to please remove it from the bill. After all that she started arguing with me and getting mad. Yelling at me "You eat you pay!" I kept refusing and was just about to simply walk out of the restaurant when she finally agreed to take the guacamole off the bill. So I could finally pay and get out of there. I will certainly not ever be returning to this restaurant and wouldn't recommend anyone else eat there either after how we were treated. read more

If I could give this zero stars I would. Terrible service and the food was the most subpar I have had in Central Texas! I ordered fajitas and the vegetables were almost raw. They did not serve the customary sour cream, cheese, Pico, etc with the meal. They do not provide chips and salsa unless you ask for it then what they do serve is thick as pita chips and watered down tomatoes with no zest. Overall terribly disappointing experience. The sweet tea was good although never refilled and my date had to wait most of our meal for a drink. Save your money and go elsewhere for decent Mexican food--seriously! Looking for great tacos in Georgetown? Try this place. $1.80 for regular tacos with either fresh corn or fresh flour tortilla. Their tacos are all flavorful. We had barbacoa, lengua, pork w/green sauce, and al pastor. My favorite was the lengua, tender meaty bits just a little bit crispy on the edges, perfect! I really enjoyed the pork as well, but the barbacoa and al pastor were just a little bit too sweet for me. Now my go-to for tacos in Georgetown. Chorizo egg and cheese and campechana tacos on corn. Their house made tortillas are now legendary level -perfect bite, great flavor. The chilaquiles are killer. Not too soupy, plenty of cheese and crunch and a little goes a long way. Easy dish to split, especially if you add in some chorizo. The puerco verde tacos are on point as well - tangy and slightly spicy. The lengua is one of my favorite lunch tacos as well, excellent seasoning. I'd skip their bacon and breakfast sausage in the tacos as there are much better options. The migas tacos are always a hit at my house, with flour tortillas. I see a lot of folks eating menudo when I do my pickups. Their house-made chips are often available by the bag and worth picking up. read more

I went to San Pedro Limon with my family based on the overwhelming positive ratings this restaurant has. What we found was rather average, lacking flavour and overall disappointing. We are still baffled by those positive reviews and who in their right mind would dare give this joint 5 stars... While I appreciate that the masa is corn based, warm and fresh, that the service was courteous, and that the tortilla chips were fairly good, everything else fell apart in front of our horrified, hungry eyes. The beef soup, according to my mother in law, was tasteless and seemed to have been put together on the fly. None of the food options contained much vegetables at all (and forget about vegetarian options, the closest thing they have have is replacing meat with bland lettuce on a huaracha or torta), and the sauces, while they were spicy, were not especially tasty. We ordered a flan which came unceremoniously served in a plastic container, straight from the fridge to our table. We were four people and none of us was interested in finishing it. San Pedro Limon reminds me of what an authentic tired Mexican abuela would cook on the go for her hungry family. It wasn't utterly terrible, but it was not good, definitely not a five stars worthy restaurant, not even in their wildest dreams, and we will not be back. read more

Yes!, I'm a fan. I've been here a few times, but it had been awhile since I've come and I pay closer attention to the food when I know there is a review about to go down so I'm finally getting around to doing the review. This is another hole in the wall Mexican restaurant albeit, not tied to a gas station. Instead, you can buy auto parts 2 doors down, get a tattoo next door, and then come in for some delicious tacos. I knew I was going to write the review so I ordered several different types of tacos. It was lunch time so this review is strictly on their lunch tacos, but they do serve breakfast tacos as well. I'll have to save that for a review update. I got the lengua, tripa, al pastor, chicken fajita, and beef fajita tacos. I got them to-go, they put plenty of salsas in the bag for you, and also asked if I wanted lime wedges. The tacos come with the standard cilantro and onions on them. The salsas include an orange and a green. Both have a good amount of heat and I loved both. I have to say I enjoyed every taco I tried with the crispy tripe being my favorite of the bunch. I love the fact that they give you the option to get the tripe crispy. They offer all tacos on either flour or corn tortilla and both are home made. Now if you live in Austin, I'm sure there are plenty of taco places in and around the area that are very similar so I don't know if I'd make the trek all the way up to GT to eat here, but if you are in the area for some reason, I'd definitely give them a shot if you are feeling like tacos. read more

While at court, a staff member recommended San Pedro Limon to me. She mentioned that the portions for the price were great and the food was delicious. Being from the RGV, I am constantly on the lookout for "legit" Mexican food, so I had to come try this place out. I can't believe I hadn't seen it before as It is located on North Austin street in Georgetown, just across from the Starbucks I frequent. The restaurant is a small family owned business, and the waitstaff is very attentive. I ordered the Verdes Enchiladas de pollo (chicken enchiladas with green sauce). The plate was $8.00 and came with 5 enchiladas (as opposed to most restaurants that charge $10- $12 for three), refried beans, and rice. They were a little different from what I am used to in terms of construction, but they were delicious! What do I mean by different in terms of construction? Well, most places you go to, or even when making enchiladas at home, the tortillas may be passed through some hot oil in order to soften them, sauce is usually spread on the tortilla along with the filling and then rolled, and then more sauce is placed on top of the enchiladas with cheese. Here, the tortillas had no oil on them, the filling was the deliciously spiced chicken, and the verde sauce and cheese was placed on top of the completed enchilada. It is most likely due to the region of Mexico the food is influenced by. So, while different, it was definitely good, and much more than I could eat, so I had left overs for later. As good tripas are also hard to come by, I had to try a taco here. My husband loves tripas, and I'd be doing him a disservice if I didn't. At $2 a taco, they are the cheapest I have been able to find. I like my tripas very crispy, and that's how I ordered it. They were great! I definitely recommend these to tripa lovers. Note: not that any self-respecting Hispanic would eat their tripas on flour tortillas, but if you do, I would actually suggest getting them on corn as the corn tortillas are homemade. The flour tortillas are store bought, and not the good kind like the made in-store while you watch ones at HEB. They taste like they come from a prepackaged bag that sits on a shelf. But, also note, I did say I am from the RGV....I have been spoiled by homemade everything, so I tend to be more critical of my Mexican food than others may be. As for the rice and beans, they were very good. I actually ate some of the rice, which, for those who have not read my previous reviews, is a big deal. I am a rice snob and hardly find rice that I like if it is not made the way my grandmother makes it (which seems to limit my consumption to only when a family member or myself makes it). As for drinks, I had a sweet tea. It was very refreshing and was sweet, not DIABETIC COMA sweet like you can find in the Valley, but good. I would definitely recommend this establishment. read more

The girl behind the counter was eating a sandwich and drinking a Sprite; licking her fingers and serving food at the same time. I watched her constantly and she never washed or sanitized her hands. I asked 3 times over the course of the last 20 minutes about my order and was told "it's coming" while they served several behind me in line. I told the eating girl to not touch my food when it did come out because she should not be eating and serving food without washing her hands and no one on the entire staff had on a mask. We stopped in this small little restaurant. Only 3 tables were filled. It took a while to be greeted. Finally a girl got up from one of the tables and greeted us and said to sit anywhere. Then there was a wait for the menu. The menu has some items we were not familiar with so we asked the waitress. She didn't know either and did not seek help. Anyway the journey to get a meal was more problematic than the amount of time we wanted to spend there. 15 minutes later still no drinks and we cancelled our order and went somewhere else. Wow! I am very choosy when it comes to tacos as I grew up on the border in the land of amazing tacos. The quality of the tortilla, meats (flavor and amount), vegetables, and salsa selection are all important in determining who's good and who's not. Salsa limon delivered with high marks in each category and threw in excellent service, Mexican soft drinks, Mexican desserts, and a convenient location near 35 for good measure. We usually order menudo on the weekends, and it's getting worse and worse my parents ran a Mexican food truck, and when menudo was done they didn't sell anymore not at San Pedro they will add water to make more and sell it to you. When it's fresh, it's okay, but when they are low they will water it down we've experienced this way too many times. Customer service is horrible as well they should consider hiring adults and not teenage girls who ultimately don't give any crap about your order or have no customer service experience. Fabulous tacos! Definitely will go back. If you want authentic food, this is the place. Chicharrón, lengua and tripas are made to perfection.
