I came to Sanborn for oil changes because they are cheeped than most of the dedicated oil change companies. They have a shorter line than other dealers in the area, so you get in and out quicker. I had my tires rotated this time They charge almost $18 to do this. I thought that was a little pricey but I'm not sure what the standard price for that is. They give you a loyalty card so you can get a free oil change on the 7th trip. I would recommend them for your next oil change read more

I traveled over an hour to get to this Chevy because I had called ahead of time after seeing a car I liked that they had online. Manny THANKFULLY answered the phone! He helped me work a deal which was hard for what he was working with. They got me a deal, had everything beautiful and perfect when I got there. Signed papers quickly, went for a test drive and went over everything with how the car works, and was out of there. The whole staff is friendly but manny is the best of the best! This review is for their service department. On the way to the mountains our alternator gave out. We stopped here and they squeezed us in and fixed us up and had us on our way in 2 hours. We had a toddler and preschooler with us and their waiting room was awesome. DirectTv so we could watch nickelodeon to entertain the kids. Comfy chairs and a nice clean bathrooms and waiting room was huge and clean too. One of the employees even brought in some toys from her car so the kids would be entertained. My husband, Gary, went to this dealership and was looking at buying a truck and trading in his non-GM vehicle, and the salesman told him that the rebates that are being offered during did not apply to him because his credit was "too good" and the vehicle he was trading in was not a GM vehicle. So 1750.00 and a 1500.00 rebate did not apply! He felt this was wrong and inquired through another dealer. That dealer told him there's no such thing, that the rebates did apply to him. read more

It has a new management team in place and the changes in the dealership have been profound. Terrible paint job. They took 4 weeks to give me an orange peeled paint job with multiple spots where they ran the paint. When I took it back they said they'd fix it but only took care of one spot that was ran and put ridiculous swirls in the fresh paint. They totally rushed it all around. A cheap Maaco $500 paint job would have been better. They do not hold to their satisfaction guarantee and told us they aren't going to repaint or refund the insurance company so I could take it somewhere else read more

The new service manager at Sanborn Chevrolet is just awesome. His name is Jason Curl. In my experience I found him to be very knowledgeable and very fair. I also have experience with the body shop. Dan Votaw the manager of that department made sure my truck was well taken care of when it was there. All the guys in the parts department are friendly and quite funny! George C. Don't go to the Quick Lube and get ripped off!! The big guy service writer couldn't give me a firm price on a oil change when asked and replied" umm maybe $45 to $50. I asked if they check all fluids and rotate the tires ? He said yes. The bill came to $62! I asked if they checked the fluids and the female cashier said they filled the washer fluid. I asked if they rotated the tires and the service writer said, "he forgot to tell the guys" I was the only customer there . I was feeling totally angry about being lied to twice I told them not to do the rotation . Seeing I was unhappy he looked at me and said,"have a nice day." Absolutely terrible with customer service. We went in to have my husbands Chevy Sonic looked at and the mechanic shop people where very rude. My husband received an official letter with a recall and they said they see no recall on his vehicle, Then my husband explained ANOTHER issues he has been having with his vehicle and they didn't even want to look at it. If they are all real mechanics then they should want to actually do their job and look at a vehicle. They all acted put out about working on his vehicle where extremely rude and then on top of it wouldn't even answer simple basic questions and concerns we had about the vehicle. read more

I do not know him and he did not know me but he went above and beyond trying to help me out. They could not see or work on my car that particular day, but he took the time to check it out for me while I waited in the car & gave me his opinion. As a female, I am extremely uncomfortable when it comes to dealing with car dealerships, be it in shopping for a new car or getting my car serviced or a problem fixed. I generally encounter dishonesty, especially when it comes to cost. For example, when I had a nail in the side of one of my tires, the chevrolet dealership where I purchased my car put it up on a rack and then told me I had to replace the tire and I would be looking at around $275. Yeah, a lot. I chose to drive home with the nail in the tire. A week later, while at work in Lodi, I called Sanborn Chevrolet to do an oil change and asked if they would check my tire. They did. And no, I didn't need to replace the tire as had been previously told me. Sanborn fixed it. End of story. Sanborn Chevrolet has become the ONLY dealership I will take my car to and I have been so pleased and confident in them that I very verbally recommend them to others. Sanborn employs TRUE professionals in every sense of the word. They are genuine in putting the customer first, their work is impeccable--if it's fixable they will definite locate and repair it--they are punctual and actuate in time completion, and they are always courteous. I especially want to thank Brad in Service. Many times I have struggled with trying to accurately describe the problem my car is having but he nods with understanding and gives me the courage to know that he's hearing my every word. Sanborn Chevrolet has a decent inventory of new and used Chevys across all models, but i have to say that is about it. Above all things wrong, the Collision Center is a complete joke. I've recently been in a collision and was asked by the individual paying for the damage to get multiple estimates. This place was the last i went to after several very well known and reputable body shops in stockton. Sanborn Collision Center had given me an estimate covering only half of the damage repairs estimated by several other well-known body shops i had gone to previously, while also only fixing half the damage, because the rest was "outrageous" and didn't 100% need to be done, but could "use" doing, and were tolerable to just leave, instead of giving an estimate to repair my vehicle to what it had been prior to said accident... yeah, seems kinda odd to me that a body shop doesn't want to estimate a good amount of necessary work to make money supporting their craft, weird right?. Outrageous to fix a vehicle to its original condition? I call that outlandish, as well as biased. I had found out later that the man i was dealing with is a close friend to the guy paying for the damage out of pocket because he didn't want to deal with insurance, and convinced the man to give me the lowest estimate possible (whilst not even repairing the damage done) so that he could avoid actually paying for what really needed to be done. The man i dealt with had told me that the unnecessary work was just better to leave and pocket the cash, instead of repairing for business revenue? I call this shady business, to an honest person wanting nothing more than the repairs necessary. I honestly have no clue how this place stays in business. Above all, do not deal with a shady individual named Dan Votaw, what a joker. And quite frankly, for quality work, i would avoid this place completely. There are far better body shops several exits down highway 99 that do 5 star grade AAA+ work. Look for Crivello's and Cavvalino Coachworks for the best work in the area. read more

I bought a 2010 chevy equinox from this dealership. Although, it is not the employees fault that this car turned out to be a total LEMON. I would like to think that salespeople would know if a certain model has a good or bad history for breakdown. I can not even tell you how many parts were replaced before the warranty expired. Since the warranty has expired, I have had to replace the transmission because the one the car has is too small for the weight of the car. So, this will be a chronic problem. After the transmission went out, the engine decided to follow. And yes, I am religious about oil changes. So BEWARE of any cars that are purchased from a chevy dealership read more
