Can't say enough of this little gem of a location I found in Chelsea. I was quite surprised to find this upscale yet casual spot attached to the Hilton. Myself and my party of eight made reservations right when they opened on a Monday, just to be safe. I would definitely recommend making reservations for busier days at this location, again to be on the safe side. Needless to say our party grew as we sent word to a few of our friends to come check out the laid back vibe (which made us happy since a lot of us thought we would be underdressed for this impromptu stop). The cocktail list was impressive with drinks that were different yet weren't pretentious. I personally tried the Atlantic Beach which was on point. The beer options were just as impressive. The food options were perfect for our parties desire for light snacking before continuing our evening. The setup was just magnificent. Laid back lounge areas coupled with a nice bar area and even a seated area that has swings that my friends eventually enjoyed. This rooftop does have a retractable roof for full coverage in the event of bad weather. We were there with the roof partially retracted at the time due to chillier weather. Nice that they have that option. For anyone looking for a nice place for after work drinks or pre party cocktails and food before heading to MSG, this is the spot. read more

I've been here in the winter, the spring, and the fall. My first time there I really questioned the space I mean a beach inspired rooftop in the middle of the city? I found they did this is the cutest way without it being too tacky. Instead of fake palm trees and flamingoes its more of a white shiplap and navy blue with white trim seating vibe. In the evening its really dimly lit which def gives it a great date vibe but I also see large groups of friends chilling and having a good time. They also have these really cute swings that everyone always has a fun time playing on. I had to pay a fee to reserve a space and was told it would be taken off our final bill which I am always okay with. The wait staff is always so kind and fun. One time I went with a friend and in the section "celebrating anything" I wrote she was going through a breakup and they gave us a free shot and chocolate cake!!! The food is good but wouldn't recommend going here for dinner but more of pre or post dinner snack as its more appetizers and shared bites. All in all I would definitely check it out! read more

Very cute rooftop bar inside the Hilton hotel. Take the middle elevator to go up. $25 per person deposit, which is then credited towards your bill. Drinks are good and pricey. Food is ok, nothing too special. View is nice but not from too high up. We went on a sat night, and it wasn't too packed. You can actually hear your friends. read more

Super cute spot! Its located on the 23rd floor of the Hilton. The view is really nice and the drinks are amazing. The mushroom flatbread was also great. They do ask for proof of vaccination, you also need a reservation but if you go when its not crowded they dont ask for it. read more

Very instagrammable rooftop bar located on the top of a Hilton hotel. They have a beachy tropical theme with a number of timed tables (and they stick to it!) - so would recommend making a reservation if you know you want to come here. The cocktail menu was solid, I liked the Georgica which was very refreshing but next time would skip the Cooper's. Cocktails are about $18-20 but what do you expect from a rooftop in new york. Overall, a nice experience that is definitely ambience-forward. Good for an afternoon date or a drink with friends. read more

Its our first time in Sandbar rooftop and it was awesome. They had a very beautiful ambiance. Very Cozy and relaxing. Servers are very accommodating and nice. And also the manager I can't remember how to pronounce his name correctly but i think its starting with the letter O something like Onell? (Im not sure lol) he is very nice and friendly. I saw this place on Instagram and love rooftops so I said why not?! You have to make reservations in advance and pay a deposit but it gets added to your bill. The menu isn't that intense so we stuck with the pizza but the bar will make whatever drinks you want. The staff is super friendly and honestly it feels like the Hamptons in Manhattan. Loved the experience having a cocktail and Hors d'oeuvres on the rooftop. The aesthetic is appealing and inviting. They do require a $50 deposit, but you're going to spend at least that anyway so that really isn't a deterrent from making the reservation. All the staff were attentive and courteous. How cute is this place! So cute. A friend and I came here for after dinner drinks and we had a great time. We came in pretty early on a Saturday night (10 I think?), so we got a seat right away. Anyway it was such a cute beach theme, but not in your face sea shells and coral and shit like that. Their cocktails were delicious. I don't remember what I had though. Something sweet and/or fruity l'm sure since I have such a sweet tooth. We had a nice relaxing time overall. As one should on a beach or beach themed bar in this case. read more

Had the chance to finally visit this rooftop last week with a group of friends and I can honestly say I was impressed! I had heard of this spot opening up and was curious to see what the vibe would be like. They market it as a Hamptons-esq getaway in the city and I wanted to see if it would hit the nail on the head. In my opinion it did! They've set up this space with comfortable cushioned seating, tons of plants, and a lot of neutral tones to give it a classic beach vibe. Our group of five made a reservation before going (highly recommended). Once we arrived we were seated to our area which included two couches and stools. Our visit was during COVID times so instead of physical menu's we were instructed to scan the QR codes that were on the table to access our dining options. When it came time to order I went with sultans cocktail ($18) and our table split a wild mushroom ($15) and buffalo mozzarella pizza ($17). These tasty plates are definitely the perfect size to share with a group! I'd recommend coming here while it's still semi-warm out so you're able to enjoy the open roof and views. read more

If I can leave 0 stars I would! I've never been so disappointed before. The staff is the worst. They don't care about the customers at all. I begged for a seat for 5 and they seated me to the corner and said "they don't have anything" but the whole time every seat was opened and the seats that we wanted to seat was for "a party of 10" but everyone who would sit was 3 or 2 people. After one hour they refused to take our order and didn't let us order more drinks. They also charged our card without even asking if we were okay with charging the card we put the reservations on. Don't come here. Great vibes until you dine. You'll regret it. Drinks are disgusting and tasted like water and not worth a penny. So unhappy! First bad review I ever left. While most businesses are closing during COVID, this rooftop bar decided to take a chance and open end of August 2020. It is located on top of the Hilton hotel and went above and beyond with meeting my expectations. The decor has a nice beachy vibe to it that makes a perfect Instagram picture. This place is a perfect date spot or a place to just hang out with friends. The menu is limited but if you're anything like me and are not good with decisions, this place is perfect. My friends and I got 3 different pizzas - the bianca, truffle, and Margherita. All were great but all 3 of us unanimously thought the Bianca was the best. Truffle came in as a strong number 2. I tried the Maverick and the Nosara. Both were very well made and very strong. The waitresses were amazing and very polite. They asked about any allergies and restrictions from the start and a lot of places don't do that. This rooftop is also very very big and COVID friendly - hand sanitizer IN the elevator, on the table, and a temperature check. Overall, all aspects of this rooftop deserve a 5/5 and I'd love to return here. read more

Been here a few times and originally really liked the spot and set up. The last visit was pretty bad cause they mandated a food order for every two people. Wouldn't mind ordering food if it was good but the menu is lacking. Also seems pretty excessive to mandate an item for every two people. Don't waste your money! Horrible seating arrangement! As a party of six, we were huddled and stuffed into a corner with barely enough room to place our drinks and food. The management that walks around was rude and not welcome- often scolding customers for various reasons. What you see advertised is not what you get! Amazing service, I came here for my 4 year anniversary and our server Vanessa was very attentive and never passed our table without making eye contact to make sure we were alright. The cocktail menu is very well crafted (never a drink that is too sweet, especially when you want to enjoy every flavor it has), the bites are perfect for snacking, and the staff is very kind and helpful when it comes to recommendations. More of snack/appetizer options versus dinner options. I have been helped by many of the staff- who have always made sure to allow me a great experience here. I am starting off my review with 4 stars, hoping that I will visit again and reach that fifth star. Was lucky to visit on their second opening night while on a weekend in New York two weeks ago. Found them randomly through Instagram and was excited knowing it was a new establishment. The host, servers, managers were all so great, welcoming, & attentive. It is a beautiful new place, trying to offer a beach like vibe. Beautiful decor, there's a lot of blues and whites, which I enjoyed. You can not miss the swings. These did for great Instagram worthy pictures, of course. Here's why I can't give the full 5 stars. Reserved a table and when brought to my "table", it was really the section of 4 beautiful wood swings. For a moment, I thought we were being put here while we waited for a table. The server let me know this is our section and you can order food/drink. The down side to this was that there really was NO table, it was just 4 swings in a circle..which would feel like a waiting area. They were able to move us to a couch section with little tables, which was very appreciated. My server (I wish I remembered her name right now) was one of the most incredible patient, friendly, and warm servers I've ever had in my life! My opinion on this is just that they should AT LEAST advertise that you will be getting the swing set, than an actual table. It truly wasn't the end of the world for my friends and I, but I can imagine a couple on a 'date night' maybe celebrating something big, and they end up on these swings. Secondly, the menu is very small and plain as they only serve flatbread. I do have to say the Margherita was so good, I ate one alone (lol) but as they work out their kinks, maybe they will add a little more to the menu. Drinks were very pleasurable. Last but not least, the view is of course beautiful. Great place for some casual drinks, date night to sit and talk, or maybe the after spot.
