Food: 5/5 - - if you don't mind having less choice from the menu, the pizzas we all picked, we were all very satisfied with Drink: 5/5 - - ol fashioned was well crafted and all of the drinks were tasty but not skimping in alcohol! Ambiance - - 3/5 it's defintiely a place you'd want to take photos but the lighting isn't ideal in a lot of places. It looks like we're in a Florida beach house and I do understand the concept of a theme but on my own opinion, Florida isn't really where I'd wanna imagine myself (while in New York City anyway, but that's just my opinion so very subjective). The music sets a great music and actually is the proper volume so you can hear it but still carry on a great conversation. Defintiely a date location Heads up: you take your temperature upon arrival to enter. You take a designated elevator (there's only one) to get to the rooftop, and the hotel it's situated in is closed (as of writing). They were fully booked so we only had a 90 minute time limit on our table! Be wary of arriving late when you make a reservation! I wish I could give this place 4.5. Because they really deserve it. Visited this rooftop bar yesterday as part of a work event. While the staff for the most part were nice and fairly attentive, there isn't much going for this place. Firstly, yesterday was a very hot and humid day and the manager did nothing to remedy the heat. There were no fans and the furry cushions (while pretty) were pretty itchy on hot skin. It was so unbelievably hot a coworker swapped out of his work pants into his gym shorts he had packed for later. The mushroom pinsa was good; granted that's all I could eat because everything else on the menu seemed to have pork or fish. I ordered the Ocean Road cocktail and it was tasty, but the alcohol portion I think was very weak. For $18 a glass I wasn't impressed I think IG has given this place a boost in popularity because of the swings and whatnot. If you decide to go this summer, my suggestion would be to pre game before you go and take a fan of some kind. read more

This is a really cute place to check out. Best to make a reservation in advance, however, if tables are available they will seat you as a walk in. You likely will not get the best seating spot on the roof as a walk-in, though. I ordered their cucumber jalapeno margarita and it was good, but not as strong as I would've liked it to be. It tasted a little bit like cucumber water. However, my friend ordered their coconut rum drink and LOVED it. The people sitting across from us also ordered that one and they were raving about it. They also have a variety of flat breads that are vegetarian friendly which is also a plus. The food and drinks all came out quick. My reason for the 3 stars is simply because I didn't feel like the drinks I had were up to par (but as I mentioned others loved their drinks), and they were very strict with the seating policy and time limit. The place was pretty empty during the time we were there and the people across from us asked to switch to a cozier spot in the corner and they were denied and told it was reserved (however, no one should up to sit there while we were there). Also they kept track of how long my table was there and kicked us out exactly at the 90 minute mark. (Not sure if they are as strict with those who have reservations). I arrived & was checked in by the gentleman by the entrance who was polite, he gave me a 90 minute time frame. She seemed ok, the usual tone a waitress would have. I ordered a mushroom pizza & a glass of Prosecco & asked her for a drink recommendation as I'd have another after my first. She told me some drink name & I mentioned ok I'll get that after. After she left I took a few pics of the space and myself and noticed I was getting wet from the AC above me dripping so I shifted over, no complains. The young lady came back with my order & i started eating but immediately noticed my pizza was blah. No real flavour, not hot... just blah. I forced two slices because I wanted to have more drinks & I hadn't eaten earlier. The remainder of the pizza I left, it was that bad. I didn't complain I continued minding my business & creating content while I looked for a place to have dinner. At some point I looked at my glass there was an object stuck on the inside that was either a bug or piece of old fruit from a previous drink :/ I stirred the drink thinking ok maybe something just fell in but it was stuck to the glass which indicated I got it that way. GROSS! I kindly showed the waitress who agreed it was stuck & offered to change my glass. Kool! Now as I'm chilling, time goes by & I have 20 minutes left I decided to use the bathroom. I spent 3mins in the bathroom & when I returned to finish my drink & order another before leaving, I noticed my bill was on my table. I was SO TURNED OFF & immediately turned to ask her about it when she said "well you have about 15 mins at the table I wanted to drop the check.." WHAT??!!! I paused in disgust & she realised what she did then said in her fake high pitched tone "you are more than welcome to order another drink...". I immediately told her it's ok I'll leave & shooed her away. I've been in customer service for years from retail to host to Manager in most high end stores & restaurants in NY & EVERYONE knows dropping a check is the way to say "GET OUT". I paid for my awful pizza & drink & definitely did NOT tip. She then proceeded to explain to who seemed to be a manager but her explanation brushed it off as his response was to shrug his shoulders like "whatever". Lol he didn't even approach me he carried on. You guys are the absolute GHETTO disguised with high pitched voices in Ill fitting clothes to cover your ugly personalities. I've never in my life! Amazing service, drinks, and views! The bar is located on the rooftop of the Hilton NY Fashion District hotel. My friends and I all ordered Cooper's, but we each got a different liquor base. By default, it comes with Absolut vodka, but $3 extra to swap the liquor. With Absolut, I could barely taste the vodka and it was super refreshing! Definitely try it if you're craving a light, strawberry-flavored drink. The other drinks on the menu sounded so good too, though! The prosciutto mozzarella pizza was LOADED with toppings, so you're getting your money's worth even if it's a bit on the pricey side. For $25 minimum entry that you can use on food and drink, a visit to this place is actually such a good deal! Especially when you factor in the amazing city views you get to enjoy when you're here. And you don't have to worry about the rain because they will roll out a glass cover to keep the place dry if it starts to rain like it did when we were there! I recently held a corporate workshop here and I couldn't have been more pleased with the results. The venue is fantastic with an amazing view of the city - and the ability to have outdoor/indoor space which is especially important right now. The staff were attentive and very accommodating and the food was amazing. I especially enjoyed the Pinsa's - particularly the Vegan one with Garlic Oil, Olives, Artichokes, Charred Cauliflower! My group of 6 had a reservation at Sandbar for 9 pm on a Friday night! The rooftop area was not crowded at all with clusters of people with a good amount of distance between them on the rooftop. We were directed to a couch fitting ~3 people and three log stools. Our server was amazing in bringing out our drinks in a timely manner and even bringing out a small chocolate cake at the request of one of my friends since it was my birthday. For reservations, there's a $25 minimum which is a little tricky to achieve with just each person just ordering one drink so we just paid for the remainder through our deposit. Compared to all the other rooftop bars in the area, this had by far the lowest minimum. I got the Ditch Plains 2021 and the Sunset. The Ditch Plains was pretty good, but I wish the drink was sweeter and mixed better, since the bottom tasted better than the top. Sadly, everyone in my group thought the Sunset (without the habanero) tasted very subpar. I would definitely come back again to try other drinks and food on the menu! read more

The drinks were yummy and we got the Nutella pizza, which was such a disappointment - the bread part of it was so thick and hard that it was impossible to chew through them. Gorgeous new rooftop located inside the Hilton hotel. The rooftop's aesthetic is based on the Hamptons and the decor is super cute and cozy. You have swings, big life guard chairs, pillows, and blankets. The only thing missing is the sand and ocean. Their drinks on the menu rotate and I was able to try their new fall drink "g-land" It was like a spiked warm Apple cider- so delicious with the rum and all the spices. It's also served warm which is perfect for when it gets chilly. I also tried the "el gringo" and it was very refreshing and light. For the food I tried the meat and cheese board, the white clam flatbread , and the wild mushroom ( truffle ricotta ) flatbread. The cheese and meat was great and the portions are generous and more than enough for two people. I love truffle and the truffle ricotta flatbread did not disappoint. The white clam flatbread really surprised me! There was so much flavor with the garlic and the clams and it was my favorite of the night. The service was amazing! The waitress was great and would check up on us often. The manager (who is also the mixologist and creates the drinks on the menu) was very friendly. I was also very lucky to have met the owner and he told us some facts about the drinks and I learned that they named the drink "G-land" because the world surf league is hosted in a beach called G-land this year. As far as COVID I felt very safe- all the seats were spaced out nicely. They check your temperature when you walk in and there is hand sanitizer at every table. Reservations are a must! This is a new rooftop bar just opened in Chelsea. It has the Hamptons vibes all round. We came here for Halloween night, and I returned yesterday also. It is located inside the Hilton hotel. Service is good but could be better, and they charge $25 per head, when you make a reservation which is put towards your bill. (I Don't quite fancy that) the rooftop was freezing on Halloween night and I think they should invest properly in a heater, (though they have blankets, it is unsanitary for most people to share blankets especially during these times of covid.) I spend 3 nights in the Hilton Fashion District and decide to take a drink at the roof bar for my last night in NY. Look great at night but I have to send back my kids to the bedroom because they refused them. The menu is very short so I decide to take a beer on tap that they have on the menu and they say we don't have it!!!! Seriously So I take a bottle and the waitress bring me a can!!! I pay more than $170 a night and they serve me a $2.00 beer can and charge me $9.00 for it. And on top of everything we are August 2021 and the COVID coming back and none of the employees have a mask.... What a shame read more
