I glanced over menu and ordered a brisket cheeseburger, when I received my receipt I saw a plate of catfish. I asked cashier if I can change my order and pay the difference. I was told I could not , which I considered strange since I had just ordered and it was being prepared. There was only one person in line behind me I'm not in the habit of upsetting people that are making my food so I let it go. I went today Sunday so that I could get the Turkey leg (Sunday only). However, they didn't make the turkey leg cause they wanted to do beef ribs for fathers day, which is fine but, still offer the Sunday item. I got the 1/2 pound of brisket ($16)& pork ribs ($14) with Large ($10 ea.) Mac & greens. The size/portion of each item is disappointing... Also, got 2 tiny cups of bbq sauce for both meat items. While the food was ok,(Just ok) it is most definitely over priced. I ordered short ribs, was told it could feed at least 4 it barely fed 2. You pay by the pound and the bone I'm sure added to hitting the pound very quickly. The brisket was $16 for 1/2 pound and it was 2 small slices. Greens no seasoning at all. I checked online to see their days of operation which said they were open today, which is Monday. I drove 25 minutes only to find they are not open on Mondays. Hold On to Your Pants - (A review of Take Out meal in low 20 degree weather). We (4) ordered up 1/2 lbs of Brisket, Pulled Pork, Ribs with large sides of Elote and Beans. Brisket was delicious but had cooled off somewhat by the time it hit the table resulting in it being a little dry yet very tasty. Pulled pork was absolutely terrific and an all around FAVORITE! AND the ribs were just plain delicious. More ribs is better! Personally, I enjoyed nibbling the ribs clean!!!!!! To top it all off, don't forget the best BBQ sauce I have ever tasted. I could just eat the sauce alone all day with breakfast, lunch and dinner on anything and everything. AND the sides of Elote and Beans were a perfect accompanying side dish for the meats. The line and wait was long on an early Friday evening. Ordered the wings and rib tips. Afterwards they announced they were not taking anymore rib orders, they were out. The staff were nice. The atmosphere was great. The wings were good. The tips were tough and they looked like someone had eaten off of them. Finally got a great new BBQ spot on the south side When you first walk in that smell immediately makes your mouth start watering and seeing the open kitchen while there preparing orders makes you want to get a little bit of everything in the place but the beef plate rib got my attention right away and the chimchurri wings was my second choice place was really packed for a early Saturday we had to find a seat outside which was really nice because of the portable heaters plus the owners were outside and we started talking about smokers and food of course he mentioned that they had smoked oxtails and I never had any smoked just used in sauces so he brought me out 2 which were meaty and seasoned and smoked to perfection and I will definitely be ordering some next time I'm in there so our order was ready and it was like we were back in Austin TX the beef rib was so flavorful it beat Terry Blacks hands down and the wings were very flavorful and crispy. So the other owner brought us our deep fried rib tips , I was feeling full from the meal but had to try some . I didn't want to be rude but this is a crazy combination but it works out so well it's going to make this place successful just by there innovating minds The place is well laid out with seating up front with small 4 tables and also bigger picnic style seating.Nice slab of wood counter being used for water and bbq sauce station. Food not very good .... tried bbq because it is titled as a bbq establishment. Bbq lacks all around -- tastes baked instead of smoked... Pricey ($28 for 5 ribs and small tip). $37 with one additional side -- both sides very salty. Service unnecessarily slow taking over 10 minutes just to order with 4 people ahead of me. My first visit to Sanders and I'm sorry to say it didn't meet expectations. I went on a Thursday and the wait was reasonable. Overall the food was well cooked, tender but lacked flavor. I took a pass on the sauces because good barbecue shouldn't need sauce to make it taste good. I ordered the brisket, ox tails, peach wings, collard greens and macaroni & cheese. Placed a carry out order on 12/22 for pick up 12/24 Christmas Eve at 6:30pm. I got there at 6:15pm to pick up my order. They did not have my order at all 1st mistake. Now mind you I had to pre pay for this order and ending up spending $200 on food for Christmas Eve dinner. Spoke to the owner via phone was very apologetic and asked to deliver my order to my home. I agreed. My order was delivered to my home but was missing items I had prepaid for. The greens tasted like someone had dumped a box of salt in them. Asked for a large green got a small. Asked for coleslaw got potato salad. Paid for a 1/2 pound of pulled pork got nothing. Called the lady back within 2 minutes after she delivered my order she did not pick up her phone. It was Christmas Eve so I was stuck until after Christmas. Went to the restaurant the day after Christmas let them know what happen because my family was pissed for Christmas Eve dinner. Spoke with the same lady who delivered my food. I wanted a refund because this was unacceptable or at least make right for the things that I did not receive or was messed up. Was told the owner was not there and he was the only one able to give me a refund. They had already had my information from Wednesday night and was told I would receive a call from him and it takes 2 days for me to get a refund. It is currently 12/27 and I have not heard anything from the owner. I try and support black owned business but, it always black owned business who can never do right. Sanders is not ready for catering, or take out orders. Sanders does not stand by their word. Never again will I intrust an important occasion to them to provide food. read more

Food was heavenly. Haven't had this good of Barbecue since I was in Texas!!! The staff were very polite and welcoming. The inside is very clean and comfortable. Please make yourself avail via phone to speak to customers. I've tried calling about an issue I experienced with the food twice now, but when I call the phone rings and rings. Also there is no way to leave a voicemail since you all don't have one set up! Just a terrible way to do business! You DEFINITELY want to tryout Sanders BBQ Supply & Co. I've been twice. The first time I got the smoked beef brisket which was one of the best briskets I've ever had from a restaurant and the beef short rib which I'm calling the best thing on their menu. No sauce on either, so somebody gettin down FOR REAL. I got the collard greens. They were solid. Nice complimentary side to the beef. I also got the BBQ baked beans. Three different types of beans! I got the mixed greens salad both times which is BIG and GOOD. The first time was a sweet onion dressing which was PERFECT, and the second time was a creamy balsamic dressing which was tasty. The salad had croutons that I suspect are made from the sweet potato cornbread. They were crispy & crunchy the first time like they used the leftover cornbread from the day before like you are supposed to do. The second time the croutons were considerably larger, softer & sweeter. The second visit in addition to the aforementioned salad I got the pork ribs, peach tea wings, potato salad and mac & cheese. Those ribs were GOOD. Tender and tasty without sauce. The wings are seasoned & smoked then tossed in the sauce. The sauce is SWEET and thick. The sauce is good, but it became a bit much for me. I'm going to try the wings again with the sauce on the side. I actually really like the sauce on the fries they came with the wings. Honestly I want to take some of their sauce to put on some FRIED chicken wings! lol I didn't really care for the potato salad. The pieces of potato were too big for me & they don't have any mustard in it. The mac & cheese was good. Nice and cheesy! The spot is BUSY, so come with patience because it's worth the wait. Stopped into Sanders for a late afternoon lunch. We ordered 1/2 Lb of brisket and a small rib tips with slaw and Mac n cheese sides. We sat in the outside patio when Angel came to us and said they were out of tips. We said we'd try the pulled pork and Angel said she would make it right! She soon came back with brisket & pulled pork but also a sample of pork ribs and our original order of tips! Dag! We were in Bar B Q heaven! Don't think I could rate them since all were tasty! 10/10 This place was fantastic, from the ambience, food quality , Service, and staff. Everything was amazing. The food was super flavorful and several items/flavors complemented each other making for a delightfully delicious experience. I loved how they have a bbq sauce station with side cups lids so you can get as much as you want and take some to go. The wide variety of seating options also made for a welcoming environment where my family (table of 7 (including 2 kids and a baby) could eat and enjoy each other's company. I've been seeing the long lines outside this place for months and I totally get why! I finally stopped in and it is an incredible neighborhood spot with delicious food. But like everyone said, I would recommend going early as the lines get long, at night, and they only sell until they run out. I went on a weekday, during lunch time, the line wasn't too long and the wait for food was about 15-20 minutes. It's definitely not a quick stop and it's a bit chaotic inside but the staff is incredibly nice and the food is so good - it's worth the wait. I'm going to rate accurately, but because I want them to get better, and I am willing to go back. The restaurant had no air, so pretty unbearable to wait for food. The expediting of the orders needs work. You're an expensive restaurant, so the food needs better consistency. My wings were overcooked, the rib tips felt more like Texas burnt ends, not Chicago rib tips, and why no sauce? The catfish was dry, and please refer to the picture. The cornbread is very good, but look at the presentation, I also really enjoy your sauce. I hope this can inspire you to push harder, I drove all the way from the burns to try you out, and I'd would have been more satisfied at a local place for way less than 90 dollars.
