Bad service!!!!! Owner is a liar. The waitress was trash. I order chicken and waffles that, according to the menu, comes with 3 wings. I got my order and received 3 drummettes. I brought it to ther waitress' attention and and took it back, saying oh you want the wings? That's what the menu says right? She brought me back 3 unbattered unseasoned flats. Now any other restaurant serves whole wings, not pieces of wings. They just took the wings and the them in the grease, no batter, no season. I wrote a review and the 'owner' claims she would call me... never did.. lol.. which I already figured. I try to support my neighborhood bit this is a no go. Sooo this restaurant has had its good and bad days. It's the cooking staff. This time I went back through Uber. It was quick, but the cheese steak was worst than Publix now. The bread was not toasted. It was soft and the meat was skimpy heavy on the cheese. It didn't even go to the end of the bread. But... they gave a whole heap of sweet potato fries. They were cold and considering how fast it got here I wondered if they were old. I would usually call or just ignore it, but this was not with the $19 without Uber fees. It's sad because it is Black owned and I want to support, but it truly is a hit or miss... more misses than hits as the record stands. I even wondered how they are still open. The wings were over cooked. The DJ played the music so loud , you could not have a conversation. This place has really gone down. There was only about 5 people sitting at the bar and it took 30 minutes for me to get one drink. She never came back to check on you or offer water. ZERO social distancing observed by any of the patrons and NO ENFORCEMENT by staff or management...NONE!!! I made 4 trips to this spot because it's local and my lady talked about how she use to enjoy going after work. During our 1st visit we were able to sit at a "safe" distance from the other patrons. Our 2nd visit was a bit of a challenge but we managed. Our 3rd visit was a crowded night and honestly we claim fault for staying. However, last night's visit was the end for me. There may have been 6 people sitting at the bar which I believe seats approximately 12-15 ppl. Enough room for social distancing, however because there's no management present people are reaching over you for drinks and food, invading our space (sometimes 2-3 ppl at a time) to talk to the "regulars". The QUALITY OF THE FOOD was decent during my first visit but has declined significantly in only 4 trips. Overcooked, exceptionally oily and the portions have mysteriously and from my view exceptionally shrunk. I will say the catfish nuggets are a good choice. The DRINKS started out on a pretty decent but when I tell you last night was a disaster I'm not kidding. We ordered a Long Island Ice Tea and South Beach Ice Tea. I respect measuring shots but when you hand me two glasses that have nothing but syrup and ice I have a problem with that. The we got two double shots of Tito's to try work it out but no bueno. The ice had melted too much to matter. The STAFF is generally a friendly bunch but unfortunately spend too much time chatting with "the regulars" and one another. I get the "make everyone feel at home" vibe. You want that from your local spot but to a newcomer like me I should see more attention to feel included. Needless to say, COVID-19 or not it's going to be a long time before I consider returning. I've been here several times for food and cocktails. My husband and I have taken our parents, friends, and family to eat here because we live in the neighborhood. We don't have many places to eat in the area, so in spite of the horrible service we have received approximately 75% of the time, we still patronize this business because it's convenient. We were happy to have our one and only neighborhood pub. Plus, on a good day the food a decent. Today was the final straw for me. I have never been completely ignored by an entire restaurant staff, the bartender and server for this long but they were too busy arguing and being obnoxiously loud to notice me and take my order, eventually I ordered without an apology. I was made to feel unappreciated and unimportant. I also did not feel safe in this environment as there was some hostility present and angry voices and arguing. Eventually I ordered, my food came in about 20 minutes and the chicken was dry and had a lingering aftertaste, maybe the spice or sauce, my drink (long island) was watered down and too much sweet n sour mix n coke. I would not recommend this place to any prospective diners and potential customers. The management was non-existent and when I asked who the manager was I got an annoyed look and no answer from my server, not sure of her name, I could not imagine a worse overall experience. Went here on a Saturday night with the hubby and had a great time. I was expecting something different but I mean it was a nice atmosphere. The dj was playing nice music both new hits and some older ones. It wasn't that crowded. Everyone that worked there was cool and we all were just laughing, dancing and having a good time. I ordered the hot lemon pepper wings, shrimp and fries and my husband had the wings, fish and fries. Food was hot and seasoned to perfection. That was the best darn fried shrimp I've ever had, hands down!!!. For drinks we had the Hennessey Margarita, Blue Mutha*****, and shots of 1800. Oh can't forget the water. I ordered the Turkey Burger n Fries my sister had the 6 chicken wing special. The burger was DRY N UNSEASONED. I asked for lettuce tomato onions n pickles. The cook delivered the food and when I stated there were no onion or pickles he looked at me like it was my fault. Never acknowledged or offered any words of apology. The bartender brought the onions n no pickles at all. The wings looked like them came from a pigeon. Little as shit n dry as F. She requested all flats and that was a $3 up charge. I paid $16.00 for a top shelf Long Island that was more juice n he forgot the coke it was just orange. The drink menu states they will not exchange or fix ur drink so be sure of what u order. Here's the real kicker I ordered the best cheese burger on the menu to take back to my husband. First they say you can not get the burger cooked to the temperature u request "We cook them all the same temperature " had no mushrooms only American or Mozzarella cheese.
