Best Serbian meats and bread! This is old world baking, cooking, and butchering. A must try local European deli.

Breskvice and layered cream cake, yum!

So much deliciousness! I took my grandma here for her 70th birthday, as she had been really wanting to go. It is a quaint and cute little deli and bakery serving a variety of items. As I walked into the establishment, I was met with the delicious scent of sweet treats and well seasoned foods. My mouth started to water a bit as I walked by each case encapsulating the food. Food: I ordered a variety of desserts, a few which I was able to sample first. Let me just say YUMMM. You can tell everything is homemade and created with lots of love. I highly recommend the breads as well. The soups too! Service: The workers were so kind, helpful and welcoming. We really felt like family. I look forward to coming back. Overall: definitely worth the visit, so much homemade deliciousness. I highly recommend.

Sandy's was extremely accommodating in a last minute order for a full size torta. My grandfather is from Hungary and we ordered a Dobos Torta for his birthday. He said it was the best torta he has ever had! They are a small business, but every worker there was extremely pleasant and welcoming when I arrived for pick up. Thank you guys!

Cvarci (pork cracklings)

Been customer for few years now. Very disappointed how they handle my last two orders. We ordered cvarci and for the very first time they arrived absolutely nasty. They were huge and fat. They are pretty pricey talking $20.00 LB we ordered $200 worth and everything end up in the trash. I was ready to give them other chance and try to order ones again. I requested smaller pieces and I asked please to not sand me the order like the last time. $160.00 worth of order arrived in no time. I called few friends to let them know they order is here. When I opened the box I was in absolute shock. ARE YOU KIDDING ME ?? I understand they have fat and I am not really picky but come on. I asked if is possible to get order but not only fat. We ordered them before they were delicious all the time. We even introduced them to European market here in San Diego and they ordered all the time. How is possible that they get great orders and they send me garbage. I really have a need to share my story just because I think is wrong to not care about a very good customer who spread your business all over San Diego even in Mexico ... Thank you Sandy's bakery for taking good care of us for few years I don't understand where did it go wrong ...

Super! A lil review in English: This place is absolutely fantastic! The food is authentic, tastes amazing and good priced too Sandy is nice, she's friendly and welcoming.. Great lil place and glad I found it Won't be going anywhere else for my Serbian food/groceries! Njam njam!!!

Cevapi

It's a deli with bakery. I went here to buy the cupavci or cupavac but not available. The lady thought i was looking for cevapi and showed me picture of the grill ground pork with cabbage and onion. It actually smells good so i ordered that. It was actually delicious. They have roasted pork which they sell per lb. i might try that one next time and cupavac. The service is good. Street parking only.

Spinach pita. But more like filo dough filled with spinach. Its good. Warm or cold. Its yummy. Bread texture is awesome. Well seasoned.

This place is a gem found in this neighborhood! Great service, nice people, huge servings, everything taste home made! Its amazing! Will definitely comeback. Will definitely try other things next time. Will definitely recommend. Sunday: there's a lot of people buying huge amount of food. It's great because you know that everything is freshly made and cooked.

This is their huge burger, comes with a side of cut up potatoes.

Been here 3 times the past two weeks. I've passed by this place for years and finally visited, because my brother in law told me their burger was good. First, two times I went just had the baked goods, since I visited in the morning. The third time I ordered the burger and the pork cracklings... both very good. The burger looks dry, but not at all. Also a big portion, ended up eating 1/3rd and eating the rest the next day.

Well.........I don't know what it was but it was good. Happened upon this spot after eating lunch at Pho #1. Everyone was going in and leaving with happy smiles. It is a small establishment. Up front there are a few tables where you could eat or drink your coffee. The back half was the bakery restaurant. I got these things that looked like Twinkie's. They were moistened with a sweet ?honey mixture. Like I said I don't know what they were but they were good. There was a whole bunch of other things to try but we will save those for another day. There was a small grocery of a few select items there as well.

Really good food. People can be a little rude. But great food. Serbian family with a passion. Could use a touch of more friendliness.

I've been a customer of almost 10 years and have been obsessed since they first opened their doors at a different location. I literally live an hour away without traffic and even longer with traffic, but I make sure to stop by or send someone else to get it for me at least once a month or more. I love the amazing cakes that are so delicious and unique but on top of that, it is Asian owned, LGBTQ supporting, etc. A lot has changed since their little storefront with no seating. The bakery is now a full on cafe and I'm so happy to see how much they've grown and how successful they are. And while it is glorious, I will say I miss the sweet neighborhood charm and great customer service it used to have. Getting in touch with the bakery through phone or text can be tough and to be honest, sometimes one of the people working there is kind of...very mean. It had me questioning if I should keep coming back. I just love this bakery so much though and being raised by parents that had a small food business, I can't help but want to support. I had a particularly difficult last minute request for the bakery a few weeks ago and I was reminded why this place is so great. It had been YEARS since I made this specific request, which was an order for a slice of cake for every flavor and a cupcake for every flavor. This is a BIG and time consuming request, especially if it's last minute. Unfortunately I come to the city whenever the traffic isn't atrocious, so it's always last minute. Dom absolutely pulled through though. Even though there were other employees there (I saw two others but one disappeared and then another male was kind of walking around the cafe and such), Dom took this giant request and fulfilled it himself. The other gentleman (not the mean person previously mentioned) was actually who I made the request to, but he told Dom to do it. I was kind of confused why they didn't do it together but idk, maybe the other guy isn't allowed to handle food? Who knows. Regardless, this request obviously took a long time and the line was getting longer; people were getting a little restless but Dom stayed calm but was swift. I swear he was moving faster than most people in the industry could with a cake knife like that. He was not impatient or rude to me at all. He was just there to do his job as fast and well as possible. It's so rare to see that type of work ethic. He is also so obviously proud of the bakery and the food they serve which makes you feel good about being a patron there. So although I continue to have an unpleasant experience with one particular employee there, Dom keeps my love for this bakery alive. He reminds me of what this bakery was like when they first opened their doors. I hope Dom is cherished there and I bet he is considering his work ethic. I will continue to support this bakery and I recommend everyone else to support as well. It may not be that small little shop anymore but Dom is a reminder of the heart of the place.

I was lucky enough to snag a parking spot from someone pulling out right in front, and I was even happier to skip the line and walk straight in to pick up my order. Order ahead--it is absolutely the move. The drinks aren't sitting around waiting for pickup either. It seemed like they were making my matcha latte right as I arrived, which I appreciated. The star of the show was the huckleberry pastry--absolutely worth the hype. The longanisa breakfast sandwich was delicious but very substantial. For us, one sandwich was the perfect amount to share among three people; I think it would feel pretty heavy as a solo breakfast. The apple hand pie was one of the best I've had, and even the simple cookie was surprisingly delicious. We also tried a blueberry muffin, which was solid as well. The restaurant itself is cute, the space is clean, and the restrooms were spotless. Would I go back? Absolutely. But next time I'll definitely follow the pro tip and order ahead.

Let me tell you, it was all I hoped it could be and more. The storefront was pretty small with a few tables- between the size, hours, and popularity (they were only open a few days a week and closed at 2pm), I suspected that the shop sold out often. I went on a weekday and there was still a good selection of pastries left around 11am. The staff was super nice and helpful as I struggled to make a decision. They shared that the strawberry milk croissant was their bestseller, so I opted for that. It was filled with fresh strawberry mascarpone and fresh strawberry puree. Despite the croissant's decadent appearance, it was not at all too sweet. I'm not typically the biggest croissant fan (I know, I know, no one is perfect) but this pastry blew me away. The filling was super generous without overpowering the delicate dough, which was baked to crispy perfection. Sadly, I don't get to the area often, but I will 100% be back asap to try more of the menu. Run- don't walk to pay a visit!

The southwest hash brioche was friggin incredible. They were very generous with the sweet potato, WHOLE EGG, and veg. Like seriously, with the cost of groceries skyrocketing, I can't believe I got a whole bit of egg white and yolk. You must eat your goodies warm, the initial crunch had me in a chokehold. They also had a vegan focaccia which my friends appreciated. There's street parking and expect lines. Inside isn't super spacious, but the line does move.
