I've been planning on making a visit to the Sangria 71 in Williston Park for over a year and couldn't find the time. However I was beyond excited when I heard they were coming to my hometown. First time there was a quick visit as I wanted to see what the place looked like after stopping at the liquor store. I picked up some empanadas to take home to give a try. I tried the chorizo, shrimp, and beef ones. All three were delicious! The chorizo tasted as if I was still in Spain eating it right out of my favorite restaurant. The shrimp literally tasted like paella in an empanada! Outstanding! I went back a second time with my girlfriend for lunch and was greeted by the Manager Jose right as we entered. He made us feel like family. We sat down at a high top because my girlfriend liked being near the window. She is a vegetarian so she stuck with a salad. Usually when we go out to eat I finish her plate and I'm generally never impressed because half the time it's a salad. Lol. But the salad was fresh and the cheese was even better! Delicious I had a personal paella pan as I was still craving the same taste of the empanada I had a few days before. It was even better! The shrimp was juicy and the rice was cooked to perfection. I topped it off with what I thought was one of the best jalapeño tequila drinks I've ever had. I'm an avid tequila drinker and it's my go to at restaurants around NYC. For half the price it was 2x as better then any bar in the city. We'll make sure to try the dessert on my next visit. We'll definitely be back! read more

This was our second time eating at this location. I wasn't impressed the first time which was around summer of 2020. This time everything was perfect. As with our first visit we stopped in for drinks and tapas, this time food, drinks and service were excellent. Went twice in one week! It was that good. Last night went with a group of friends, we got some tapas and sangria that were delicious. First off the place is beautiful. The paintings, decor and vibe actually felt like I was back in Spain. All the staff are super friendly and really attentive. We ordered Patatas Bravas, Croquetas, Empanadas, Calamari, and Shrimp in Garlic Sauce. All the dishes were amazing and tasty. For drinks we ordered half pitchers of peach sangria, classic red and berry sangria. Hands down best sangria ever. Would 100% come back. To top off they also have happy hour times (weekday and weekends) which me and my friends were glad to hear about. Been here 3 times. I've tried all of their empanadas and I can't seem to get enough of it. They're steak empanada is amazing. Went for lunch. I have had the pleasure to have eaten at Sangria 71 on four separate occasions. The food is absolutely delicious. The last time was in the afternoon with four friends. Each of us had different entree's. I had shrimp, octopus, scallops in a wonderfully tasty red sauce, the meal was perfect. I was so enamored with the sauce I had extra bread so I wouldn't leave any. Each and every time I've been there I'm never disappointed and can't wait for my return. Also I don't want to forget the service it is above par very friendly and quick to please. this was my second time having dinner at sangria 71 island park. food was good and service was good until the cleaning of the tables. food and plates were flying. the bus boy tried to clean the table all at once and ended up dropping plates and food on my wife. after apologizing the matre di came over and laughed about it happening. the manager was called over, offered his apologies and that was it. he didnt offer us any kind of compensation even tho clothes was stained. i have been in retail for years and the customer is always right. the way he handled the situation was deplorable. we were a party of four and we will never step foot in this establishment and will recommend noneof our friends do either. there are many places we can spend our money for dinner. stay away read more

I promised myself I will not return this time around. we were having dinner Christmas Eve 2023 and my meal arrived within seconds when we had gotten appetizer. I decided to take my best friend here for her birthday because it was the closer one. It was her first time, I wish I coulda taken her to the other one instead. We ordered a bunch of tapas because we wanted to try different things. The croquetas were so bad we couldn't eat them. Figured the server would take them off the bill. She didn't. We didn't care enough to say anything. The honey glazed manchego cheese tapa was the only one I remember liking. Maybe the entrees are better?? We went here for the first time with my girlfriend today and it was such a pleasant experience. Not to mention delicious as well . The staff was so nice and very attentive. Although we did have our own waiter, the staff all worked as a team and kept assisting us. We ordered the clams with garlic sauce as an appetizer which was amazing, and just when we thought it couldn't get any better the Paella came out. We ordered the Valenciana. Wow, so so so delicious. My friends and I went there and it was really good. One of my friends had been to another location which she said was a little fancier, however she said the food is the same at both locations. We shared some tapas, grilled octupus, grilled calamari, meat and cheese board and the crab and avacado tower. Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was good but they were a little understaffed as the waiter explained. No issues, the food came out really hot and everything was great. I shared a grilled meat platter with one person, all good except we only got one baby lamb chop. Someone else had the seafood paella for one and another person had the meat paella for one.
