I usually think noodle soups don't have enough noodles so having lots of noodles in the soup is a must for me. Good thing about this bowl js that the pork chop is chopped up in the soup so no need of a knife or anything to chop it up into pieces. I haven't had store bought dumplings in a minute, so when I do, I get them in unique flavors. Sanmiwago offers exactly that variety, from regular to kimchi. I couldn't decide, so we ended up getting both the Spicy Kimchi with Pork Pan Fried Dumplings ($10) and Corn with Pork Pan Fried Dumplings ($8). My friend and I joked (or is it one) they really wrapping these dumplings, because the wait was longer than we're used to. But when they came, they were so fresh and so juicy. I have no idea what they packed in the Spicy Kimchi, but the kimchi or the sauce was actually SPICY. I have a low tolerance, so I actually had trouble eating, but this is perfect for spicy lovers. I love that they actually pack big juicy kimchi pieces in there, rather than diced up ones! The Corn with Pork was more up my alley. Despite my full belly, I was still able to gobble these up good. I decided to try the stall for a quick lunch and ended up getting an order of pan fried dumplings with pork and yellow chive filling as well as an order of popcorn chicken. You can order to pick up via phone or in person and unlike most places in Chinatown, they do take card here, so you don't have to worry about it being cash only. It does take longer for the dumplings here though as they are made to order, so though it may take a bit more time to get them (15 minutes in my case), they are fresh at least. The pan fried dumplings are pretty good and 8 dumplings for $6 is a solid deal, especially for the size and quality. Each dumpling had a crispy exterior due to them being pan-fried while a soft and chewy interior as you bite into it. The pork and chive filling is juicy and flavorful and honestly, it doesn't really need any soy sauce, though if you're looking for a bit of heat, some added spice would help. The dumplings are garnished with cilantro and scallions for a bit of herbaceous flavor. Presentation-wise, the dumplings looked great and they were honestly less greasy than other dumplings you can get in Chinatown, though those are very good too and cheaper as well! The popcorn chicken was alright, as though there were a good amount of pieces, each piece was small, so it felt like there was more breading than chicken at times depending on the batch you get.
