It's a really good place to eat. Atmosphere is great and food tasted amazing. I had the mexican loco.. Its a Chimichanga with rice and beans and a taco.. And there were three jalapeño poppers. The food is great. I have got food here many times for take out. However, I will never eat here again. I stopped in on 10/26/2020 and had my service dog with me. He had his tag, but his cert was in his other harness. I had just picked him up from the groomer. A staff member (later identified as the manager) immediatley bent down and touched my dog (a big no-no with service animals) and his tag. I explained his cert was at home and was trying to tell him that I have a copy in my phone. He got aggressive verbally, misquoting ADA & Health laws regarding service animals. I had too get up two more times to ask to place my order and to ask for bill. Never got refill in drink . It's a Wednesday night so they aren't very busy. We had 3 people in our party. We ordered an appetizer that we never got, even after reminding the waitresses. Two of us ordered fajitas that came with no issue, unless not getting any tortillas is a problems! Finally she came back and we told her we still didn't have our appetizers and we needed tortillas. The Santa Fe in Largo was once a fairly good Mexican restaurant but has now become an unsafe eatery. Bad waitresses with bad attitudes, who can't answer questions because they don't understand. A friend & I stopped in last week for lunch, we were seated and I found sticky stuff on the seat. I just wiped it off, let it go. The waitress brought over a basket of chips & salsa. The chips were not crispy & the salsa was a thin watered down version. I ordered chicken chimichanga which came but it was not fried or baked but, was in a puddle of pinkish liquid, GROSS. My friend ordered chicken enchilada & chimichanga combo. The order came with 2 enchiladas with burnt chicken. No sour cream, salsa, or guacamole was served, not did they ask if we wanted anything. Upon entering, it's quite apparent that it has the standard Mexican themed decorations on the walls and hanging from the ceiling. It's very festive! First off, they serve excellent Margaritas, and pretty decent Pico de Gallo. The baskets of tortilla chips are endless. I ordered Mixed Fajitas, which are your basic Fajitas with a combination of sizzling grilled chicken and beef. It is served with salsa, sour cream, guacamole and shredded lettuce on the side. The beef portion arrived a tad more well done than I usually like, but over all, it was fine. Most of my companions, including hubby, ordered burritos or enchiladas. The menu is several pages long and you will find something for everyone . My party enjoyed their meal, as did I. The menu prices are very reasonable, with many items under $10. The portions are large, and several of us left with doggie bags. One word of caution, the sound level is vibrant -- one of my dinner companions ordered his dinner specifying "No crab", but received "More crab". Lesson learned! Just be sure to double- check when making a special request. All in all, it's a nice place to have an quick, inexpensive dinner with friends. *** A return visit gives them another star. Great Mexican food! Warm chips and salsa were brought to the table as soon as we sat down. The Mexican guacamole is not mashed yet it was amazing with or without the chips. We ordered the Pollo Ranchero, Tres Compa and grilled chicken and cheese, they were all satisfying portions and absolutely flavorful! We finished up with the flan which reminded me of homemade custard as it wasn't too sweet...the perfect ending to a great meal! My fiancé and I craved Mexican food so we tried this place. We walked in and was seated. After a few minutes in an empty restaurant our waiter greeted us (sans a smile) and brought us menus. My fiancé noticed the table was grimy and dirty along the window by our seat. Not a good start. Then my fiancé said, "Isn't this the place where we ordered takeout and the food was horrible?". I checked my phone a discovered that it was. So I remembered calling them to complain about the gross food we picked up and the guy who called himself the owner said he apologizes and next time we came in we would get an entree no charge. So I approached the manager or whoever the lady was which by the way she was very nice about it and she told me clearly that she was not the owner and she contacted the owner through her cell phone and we sat patiently at our table waiting to hear if they're going to honor what's posted on their website, so we go to find out that they are telling us that the prices of their Liquors high and they can't honor that that the something is wrong with their website or that is not right which is absolute nonsense. So we decided to leave and go to a different place which clearly states on their website that they have two for ones and a great happy hour which we're going to go and hopefully it works out in the end for us but very unsatisfied for wasting our time and not being able to even honor their prices after I clearly showed them everything that was posted on their website. This is a few steps above basic Americanized Mexican food. We have eaten here several times, at least five times, and the service is terrific. Very personable and helpful waiters! Some of the items on their menu are great, while everything is at least very good. I tried the molcajete bowl and will order it again after I try a few other different dishes first.
