This is a gem in Cummings City center. First is an amazingly decorated restaurant with a nice Spanish vibe. It is totally family friendly we actually fined with 4 kids and one stroller and they totally accommodated all of us. Second, the food is beyond amazing, it is authentic, delicious and well priced with bang for your buck. You leave satisfied and fully. We had a party of 9 and ordered a whole bunch of stuff on the menu. Ceviche was on point, empanadas has the perfect crunch and filling was flavodul, hanger steak was perfectly seasoned. First impressions are great, nice upscale buildout. It was a little downhill from there for me. I guess I'm not cultured enough to appreciate a restaurant of this type. I'm basic meat and potatoes, and I am Texmex. If you are into what I call chefed up fru fru food, you would like it. Also, if you like live Latin music noise so loud it's impossible to have table conversation, you may find this place will become your new fine dining home away from home. First we had Oysters Rockefeller. Perhaps the worst rendition (recipe) I have had in my 77 years on the planet. While described with spinach, there was none. The shells were void of both content and flavor. We told the waiter, there was no spinach, his only reaction was, Ill tell them in the kitchen.Then came the Paella. Overcooked is an understatement. Totally dried out frying pan it was served in, rice was dry and overcooked. The seafood content of the Paella was subject to the same overcooking as the rest of the dish, shrimp were tough, as was the calamari, the mussels were inedible. Not to mention, the lack of content in count of seafood. All the seafood content was overcooked. The dish in total , bordered on a dump in a trash can. Never again. ! Awful Meal. Everything Frozen , seafood, String beans etc. One would think they get their supplies from Walmarts frozen food section. Five star reviews are given for Walmart Frozen Fish. All were beautifully plated. The ceviche was absolutely delicious. Although the soup had great flavor, it was barely warm (I'd guess about 100 degrees). The enchiladas were basically room temperature and the mole sauce lacked complexity and spice. So, good with cold dishes but bad with warm dishes. read more

We came after seeing the amazing reviews and unfortunately we were very underwhelmed by the food. The service was fantastic and the mood was lively! The food was fairly bland, we had to ask for salt which is never a good sign. After a handful of tapas we ordered the paella for the table and the best part of it was the grilled chicken, the rest had no flavor. The pork belly taco and the Atun tostada were good. Food was such a disappointment. I really wanted to like it but the only thing we enjoyed was the sangria and the cake. The octopus was mushy and sauces had zero flavor. The bacon wrapped shrimp was completely raw in the middle and when I told the manager who ran it by the chef, they just said it's perfectly fine and made up some excuse. They refused to even re-make it which shows the chef must be incredibly stubborn and his ego is more important than customer experience. I definitely wouldn't recommend! read more

I am so pleased to have this exciting entertaining experience with outstanding food so close to our home in Cumming. My mother celebrated her 87th birthday there and can't wait to return for more food and fun! The flamenco dancers transported us back to Spain. May have found our new local restaurant! First time at Santa Maria. Came for our anniversary. Restaurant has a nice vibe. Big, open, high beamed ceilings. Wednesday night, so unfortunately no music, but not crowded. We ate Tapas style and ordered paella. Tapas portions are really nice sized. We ordered pork Belly's. Two huge cuts. Spare ribs. They were amazing. Again, plenty for 2-3. Also, a guacamole with a fried pork belly. Excellent as well. So much guacamole, chips were provided. Paella was really good. Never know with paella. Plenty of shrimp, chicken, mussels, sausage, and calamari. Needless to say, we have lunch and dinner packed for tomorrow. Server Anna and manager Raul were very nice. We will be back. read more

This place came in clutch for a late night Thanksgiving outing. Let's get to the goods though........... in the most non-vulgar way I can put this , the food will absolutely make your tastebuds cum. We ordered too much to report , but I will add this , unless you enjoy depression , don't get the pork belly tacos. They will make you sad for about a week every time you eat something else. Ok, so I don't make that many reviews on Yelp, like it has to be that thing where I just need to high five someone because it was an Epic find or a warning to beware, but this one definitely warrants the high five! This has become a regular lunch spot for me. Located in Cumming City Center, it's welcoming from the moment you open the door, with an ambiance that' pulls me away to the coast and the food quality is always hooking me to come back again. This month they have had specials- today I had the chicken and steak tacos. The presentation is top notch. Carajillo and the coffee whiskey in their featured drinks is always on point. Servers are always very friendly and if you come here enough they pay attention - they always do what they can to make the experience great. While I've been loving their specials the ceviches and the aguacate tropical (ceviche in an avocado) are my favorite, out of the many times I've had it's always been delicious.
