Dale was friendly, and pretty mellow, we chatted a bit about their unique bike shop and they mentioned to me how they donate kids bikes to the little ones that need it and will check out and possibly buy used bikes so I brought him over my 2006 Raleigh road bike and he offered an amount that was fair and I picked up that specialized mountain bike I was so charmed by. All the bikes he has on display are ready to be purchased and he makes sure that all components are in working order. Couldn't be happier with the experience, I think some reviews on here that are negative are people who expect a bubbly and overly excited customer "service" experience and are putting those unreal expectations onto a business owner they know nothing about so my advice is- if you want to check out some used bikes at solid prices or get your bike tuned up by a knowledgeable bike mechanic then check out The Velo.

He was meticulous, detail oriented, and made everything very easy for me to understand - especially as a new cyclist. To be honest with you, originally I was hesitant because of the price. Now, after doing it, I've learned it's worth every dollar and wouldn't even be surprised if they charged more because of the effort and expertise that goes into this process. My fit took about 3 hours and 40 minutes and every minute was productive, without any wasted time. So I went to have some pads done and right off the bat noticed a bit of scratching from uneven…read morepads. It was light and few and far between so didn't pay it to much mind. Got a flat and decided to do it myself. Took pictures of the washer positions and such with the fenders and dropout. Come to notice it's way off. Mind you he was to only person to work on this. Go to the manufacturer webpage and watch their service video. Notice he completely whatever's the washers and fender just slapped them on there. To boot. Releasing a nut revealed shavings. On my model there are two separate size nuts on the back axle. This 420 dullard just jammed them in, completely oblivious. Do not come here. Inept and incompetent. Actually damaged my bike. Few people deserve a review like this.
