Dr. Patel has been Noah's pediatrician since we were at the hospital after I had him. She has always been very attentive in all of our visits and takes her time when seeing patients, which I appreciate because I don't like it when doctors rush appointments. Dr sapna patel is so caring and helpful! She helped my baby with eczema (red patches on face and neck and arm folds) and prescribed ointment from the pharmacy im so happy it worked! All the assistants and receptionist are so nice :) the office is also nice and clean too. The only thig is the parking is small only like 8 spots but i would recomend this pediatrician :) I went on a Wed at 11am and its not that busy plus everyone was out after because it was their lunch time so about everything checkup. Shots. Was about 1 1/2 hrs long apointment. read more

I've been coming to the Pomona location since my baby was a newborn. Never seen the main doctor which is Dr Patel, I've only met her when my baby was born in the hospital. I didn't like that have to see her nurse practitioner, and the times I've been there she seem very nice and the girls in front were never disrespectful. Up until now my baby is 6mo and took her In because she had a fever. The nurse practitioner seem to be in a rush and told me my baby was fine and to just give her Tylenol. So now I'll be going to a new dr hopefully it's better and hopefully the location is better than Pomona. read more

This location is the worst. My appointment was on 4/11/24. This review has nothing to do with Dr. Patel. The office staff is rude and extremely ghetto. The location is tiny. So parking is an issue, but that's fine. You have to be buzzed in and have an appointment. Weird, but understandable considering the area. The lady with the dark brown hair that measured and weighed my daughter clearly hates her job. She didn't even allow me to lay my daughter down all the way so she could measure her length. She just assumed it and had me pick her up from the counter. She treated us as if we were beneath her. Her attitude was sour. The Dr. that saw us was so kind and professional. I believe her name was Dr. G? She kindly explained which vaccines my daughter would receive and then left the room. The lady with the dark hair then began yelling loudly at the doctor that they were out of the varicella vaccine. The doctor had explained to her that she misread what she wrote down in the chart. The dark haired lady then yelled back at the doctor, "I wrote down that we were out of the vaccine! Why did you have the mother sign for it?!" First of all... Yelling at the doctor in a place of business is extremely unprofessional. I don't want to hear that. Then the dark haired lady comes in with a better attitude saying, "Ok mom. It looks like you have PPO insurance, so we actually do have the vaccine available for your daughter today." So because you failed to look up my insurance info and insinuated that I was person with government insurance, then the vaccine wasn't going to be available to my daughter? How do you treat people like this based off of their insurance? If I had been on government assistance, then you still would have treated me badly? Make it make sense. I think you need to find another vocational school and find another trade sweetheart. You don't belong working with children. You are better than nobody. read more

PLEASE READ BEFORE CHOOSING TO PUT YOUR CHILDS HEALTH AT RISK! We were referred to Dr patel at PVH when our son was first born. Within 24hrs our son had not had a bowel movement he had jaundice and was put in a photography light. We brought it to her attention and she was able to get him to poop projectile how I'm not sure the only thing she had done was lift his legs up. He was born with a distended belly and she told us it was normal. We then followed up with her on august 11th for his follow up and brought it up to her attention and let her know he wasn't pooping daily it was every other day or after 3 days at this time he was taking Enfamil infant the yellow formula and throwing it up ever since he was born. She told us to change the formula to gent-lease and that would probably be the problem. We then made another appointment on august 19th for the same reason and she said it was normal and he was fine. September 2 he had another appointment with her and this was brought up to her again she swept it under the wrong saying it's just because your a FTM don't worry so much. October 3 he had his first vaccines and again we brought it up to her and she sent us home saying it's normal for a baby to poop every 3-7 days they're fine. November 2nd I took my son in because he had gone TWO weeks without pooping and had explosive diarrhea and even caught a cold. She gave me mylicon and gripe water and sent me off saying if that wouldn't work we would change his formula in December on his appointment. We'll my son didn't make it to his next appointment , on November 25Th a day after thanks giving after doing the medicine he didn't pass a stool for a week and he starting projectile vomiting I had to take him to the ER at Pomona valley hospital where they ran some tests they did an ultrasound blood work and an x-ray of his belly because it was so distended. They been told us that he probably had Hirschsprung's disease so they were going to have to transfer us to CHOC by ambulance. They diagnosed him with Hirschsprung and is sent home with irrigations and has to wait for his surgery all thanks to Dr Patels negligence and not paying attention to me. This could've cost my babies life and now we have to go through the waiting game of his surgery! This could've all been fixed while he was I. The hospital when he was first born if only she would've listened to my cry's for help. I can't even express how angry I am at her negligence especially after when I called her office to let her know what was going on I never heard from her I asked her receptionist to have her call me and I spoke to them twice and never heard anything on top of that they wanted to charge me to get my sons medical records to switch pediatrician offices! This drs a joke and should be fired for being negligent and almost causing a baby to loose his life! We were being seen at both Rancho and Pomona offices. read more

Dr. Patel is nice but way too busy to really know or care. I've brought Serenity there 3 times and she's in and out and this is after waiting for about an average of 45 minutes each visit after the appointment to be seen for 10-15 minutes to get shots or get meds for her allergic reaction recently this week. She told us that she would call CVS to have her medicine ready that day on the 2nd and looked at all her rashes and swelling and she's too small for shots. I was really scared and she also double booked two children at 2:40 PM that day. I spoke to her other client and I asked her how did she get the 2:40 appointment when my daughter also has a 2:40 appointment? And she responded that Dr Patel will probably perform some kind of miracle. I'm sharing this because we don't appreciate being overbooked and not following through and wasting time there. If you can't see the baby, let Sophie can find someone who can and get the medicine on time. It took her two days to send over the medicine to the pharmacy. I contacted them today on the 4th and asked why she hasn't sent them when we have been there four times to pick up and still nothing? They said they sent it twice and the first time it didn't go through because of computer error and the second time she sent but it was at 10:42 PM. This is not acceptable so I will be looking for another doctor for my daughter. Hope you learn from this Dr. Patel and treat your patients better and know what you are doing with time management. You are all over the place. Please focus, you are not only letting down the parents but you keep the children waiting for your prescriptions. I was first introduced to Dr. Patel at Pomona Valley Hospital and was told she was an excellent Dr. I decided to try her out since I had yet to decide on a pediatrician and she came highly recommended by my OBGN. I first went to her Pomona office and never saw her after the hospital. All my babies weight check-ins were done by the nurse practitioner, who was lovely by the way. Every time I checked in it was at least an hour wait time even when we arrived on time. Cool, I do t have to stick with we right?! I still decided to have my sons circumcison done by her and it went well. However, I hated the fact that there were no after care instructions by her and no detailed outline as some pediatricians tend to do. I mean I was overwhelmed with his crying and was distraught at trying to calm him down. I was left with him in the room and no one ever came back for an hour to discharge me or anything! I was expecting an "okay, you're all done. Here are your prescriptions" the nurse actually thought the room was empty and had other people start to come in until she saw me. If you're going to charge $50 a visit and $350 for the circumcison the least you can do is offer better service to your patients. Even the follow up was a charge, which I think is ridiculous bc even the vet offers a free follow-up. This Dr. maybe we'll spoken of but it seems like she's just interested in expanding her offices. Oh by the way she double books appointments so you may be waiting awhile for any tune with her. read more

I just left the office and thought to leave a review on my experience because I was so impressed. So it was my daughter 2 yr check up and she does not like the drs office. We started off with a check in due to the whole covid 19 we got check in outside first which was fine with me actually. And then I had to fill out paper work and the nice receptionist gave my baby some paper to draw on. Very nice of her. Once we stepped into the room my kid freaked out ! The nurse was so calm though and very understanding. I was getting anxious and felt so bad about the huge fit she was throwing but the nurse and the young ladies that did the shot were so nice and made my experience a little less over whelming. Gave birth 5 weeks ago and been blessed with meeting Dr. Patel at the hospital. She is my son's pediatrician and I wouldn't have anyone else. She is the sweetest and most caring out there and I know I can trust my baby with her care. This pedestrian has the worst staff service i have ever visited. I have gone several times for an appointment with Dr.Patel for my child and the wait has always been 1 hour minimum. When my child is finally seen it is always quick and brief, you can tell there is no care for the child by the pediatrician. The prescriptions are always late (important if your child needs medication promptly) and when I have called their office regarding prescription it was always non responsive, I was always told they would get to it but never did till very very late. I have also called before regarding my child's medical records and the receptionist was ignorant and rude. I would NOT recommend taking your child here if you want good staff service and prompt quality care! read more

Being a first time mom, she was very detailed and patient in assisting me understand the care of a newborn. She's always very open to answering any questions I have and never makes me feel like I am being rushed. She is very thorough with her examinations on my son and I couldn't thank her more for everything she does for him. She is only a phone call away no matter what time of day, she actually really returns her messages if you need her for emergency advice. My son is 2 months old and we absolutely love Dr. Patel. While in the hospital, she met with us several times. At our first meeting, she made it clear that she is all about quality over quantity and that is definitely the case in her work ethic. She set the standards for her office from the beginning, and we appreciated that. She let us us know that because she is invested in each patient, her wait times may be longer than others. Her staff is phenomenal. On several occasions my son has needed an immediate appointment and her staff has always been accommodating. The bedside manner and phone etiquette is great. I started coming here a couple of years ago when I had my second son . Of course I did my research and she seemed like a great doctor by the reviews I saw .I came in she was so sweet and helpful my son is now 2 he has been to the Drs. Quiet a bit since he does have breathing problems well it's never her its always a different Dr. Not only that but If you have an appoinment at 10 a.m you wont be helped till 12pm expect to be there a few hours whats the point of an appoinment? ‍ oh and they are open like 2 or 3 days out of the week and they only open half day on one of them. read more

I would give Dr. Patel for a five stars if it is solely this doctor's review. However, after being there for three times, and the experience with the office. I would only give a 1 star review. Here are why: 1. Wait: The wait is SO LONG...We were on time with our appointments, but we still had to wait TWO-THREE hours for our baby to get seen. As most parents know, especially for young baby, they need to be fed or change diaper at least 2-3 hours. We always fed our baby before attending the appointment, but after waiting for 2-3 hours for the doctor/provider, it is hard not to have any baby not to become fuzzy during the waiting period...i think 2-3 hours is very ridiculous 2. Appointment/staffs: they schedule us for an appointment on the day that the office is closed and didn't inform us until a week prior to our appointment. That really cause inconvenience trying to reschedule when you have to work 3. FLU SHOT...it is the flu season..and they are OUT of flu vaccines!!..how is that even possible..we are in the middle of the flu season..where there are so many positive flu cases right now during the winter time..they just don't have in stock!. We asked them from end of December until now January, the staff told me they don't have in stock and they don't know if they are even ordering them.....this is a pediatrician office!..it is very dangerous for kids especially young kid to get flu..and that's why the news or health care providers promote getting the flu vaccine during the flu season...and i asked them when would they have in stock..they do not have answer for it..it seems like they are not even planning to order it during the peak of the FLU season or they don't even care....and getting a flu shot for a young baby from other places is not that easy..i called around different pediatrician office..no one will give a flu shot unless ur baby is an established baby..so it is not like other offices don't have flu shot like this office..but they just don't want to give it to an unestablished patient.. Dr.Patel did not like it and admitted her into the hospital, needless to say she's going on her 6th birthday and healthy as ever! I am very disappointed at Dr. Patel's office, over the past two years seems like she is no longer in clinic and does not take same day appointments to see sick children -NEVER- Like a previous review stated she is mostly interested in Newborns and Well check ups and I can see why, with newborns and wealthy check ups she makes more income. Sick visits really don't get paid by any medical insurance, I literally had to cry and beg the receptionist at Dr Patel's office to take my child inn to be seen on A Monday morning when she had been very sick over the weekend and I had already taken her to urgent care and ER, no one was able to tell me what was wrong with her. after literally humiliating myself begging and crying for a doctor to see my baby she replied ONLY THIS ONE TIME we will see her but next time it will have to be by appointment. WHAT GOOD IS IT TO TAKE A SICK CHILD A WEEK LATER -meaning is when they have availability. Dr.Patel has been my daughters pediatrician since she was born. She was GREAT when my daughter was a new born. It seems like she only has appointments for newborns and is always at the hospital recruiting newborns but. For the past 2 years when my daughter gets sick they NEVER and when i say NEVER i mean it, have same day appointments. They also ALWAYS try to offer me an appointment not for the next day but 2 days out. A nurse practitioner over the past 3 years has seen my daughter and this is only if i decide to keep the appointment they offer since they NEVER have any same day appointments.
