Seriously the best steak I've enjoyed at any restaurant ever! Tender, juicy, extremely well flavored. Sides were delicious. My wife's salmon selection was prepared perfectly and was scrumptious. If steak fare isn't your thing, they had pasta , seafood and fowl selections that looked fantastic as they were conveyed by our table. I'm confident that no matter what you might be in the mood for, this place will set you up with something wonderful. The waiter was charming and attentive. His wine pairings were spot on. Absolutely lovely place. Beautiful dining room, bar and even a waiting lounge. It's the kind of place to hang out with your Mom, Mother in-law or best friend and splurge on lunch or dinner. One of the best selections of liqours to pair with everything on the menu. The dishes are done nicely. The options are down to earth and not stuffy or pretentious. Basic steaks, grilled chicken, steamed seafood. SIMPLE. The way I like it but with a finer touch and atmosphere that you always long for at places like Outback and Tony Roma's. The meals are hearty, prepared with a modicom of pride. The restaurant really is so lovely but it's obviously not the place to go if you're on a budget. You're gonna want to try atleast one appetizer before digging into the steak au poive or lobster. It's worth every penny. We stumbled upon this place while enjoying a getaway weekend escape from Manhattan. I was really concerned that we'd never find anywhere decent to eat, but Sapore was fabulous. Its located on quaint Main Street, and we had no trouble finding parking on a Saturday night. My dining companion had the cold clam & oyster plate, and he loved it. For his entree, he had the elk & potatoes au gratin. We really liked the elk and the potato side (how was the side only $3?!). I started with the lobster bisque, which I honestly didn't love. it was more like a lobster soup than the creamy New England bisque that I was hoping for. But the main course, gnocchi with filet mignon ragout, more than made up for it. The gnocchi plate was large enough for me to take home half of it for lunch. Our waitress was very cheerful, attentive, and had just the right level of service. She was thoughtful enough to bring an ice bucket for our wine, which doesn't always happen, even in Manhattan. We didn't have dessert, as the mean was really filling. But if we go back up the Hudson again, we'd definitely return to Sapore. read more

Delicious food. They're all about game and things along those lines. Not playing games and overcharging and things like that...I mean like venison/roo/bison. This joint is not cheap, to say the least. But as far as fine dining goes, with a tolerance for poorly dressed slobs such as ourselves...this place won't disappoint. Their portions could be bigger and their prices could be slightly lower, which is why the 4 stars instead of 5. How this place stays in business is anybody's guess? We were looking for a place to have a steak dinner and came across Sapore. We ordered a bottle of wine. The waitress was clueless as to how to pour wine properly. She did not offer us a taste and proceeded to fill our glasses to the brim before screwing the bottle cap back on?? This was only the beginning of what may be the worst meal I have ever eaten. Once the filet mignon and the rib eye arrived they both were grey in color and tasted like boiled meat--yuck. A nice steak house with the NYC feel of a steakhouse. Very light on the guest load (at least when I went) with great service. The layout and atmosphere were very pleasant. You get almost a city feel being in downtown Village of Fishkill. As for the food, the signature seafood appetizer with lobster was great and most importantly the steak was also cooked well. I got the fillet mignon and was very a very good cut. My only complaint was no chocolate mouse cake, my favorite. Although the vanilla gelato with chocolate sauce was an excellent substitute! The Sum Up: Sapore is an easy recommendation, especially for upstate for the people who do not want to travel the hour trip to NYC for a nice restaurant. You get what you pay for people! Definitely a first class steakhouse. Expansive wine selection that includes nice European selections. Menu is classic steakhouse fare with a few nontraditional items. Buffalo mozzarella was lackluster. Oysters, duck, fillet and sides were top notch. Semifredo on the dessert menu was a pleasant surprise. One of the better ones I've had. We were served MOLDY bread last night. When they came back with fresh bread they removed all the bread from our table, hence it was all MOLDY. Great steak spot in the cute village of Fishkill. Stick with steak - I tried the Cornish hen and was underwhelmed. The steak au poivre and rib eye are excellent. My husband I went to Sapore for the first time last night to celebrate our Anniversary. As we were being lead into the dining area, the staff greeted us with a warm smile. Our server then came and asked us for our drink order. I ordered the house Merlot which was delicious. My husband ordered escargot as an appetizer. It's not on their regular menu, but was offered as a special. It was served in garlic and oil and Italian seasonings. Very good! I ordered the jumbo lump crabmeat cocktail which was also very good. It is served chilled in a cabbage garnish along with two types of cocktail sauces. Yummy. For dinner, we ordered the Bone-in Ribeye (20 oz.), medium rare. It was cooked exactly to my husband's liking and was seasoned well. He does however prefer the steaks at the chain restaurant Longhorn..... But, we do have to give credit to Sapore for cooking a great steak last night. I ordered the Paella which was delicious although one of the mussels was tough. Otherwise, the dish was yummy. The salad came family-style and was sooooooooooooooo DELICIOUS!!! One of the best salads we've ever had! We ordered asparagus and mashed potatoes which were à la carte and a little pricey, but they too were cooked well and were delicious. We ended our evening with two Cappuchinos which were heavenly. The dessert menu looked great, but we were too full to order a dessert! :) Overall, we highly recommend Sapore, especially as a treat for a special occasion such as an anniversary! Driving down Main St in Fishkill looking for a decent lunch spot and parked right in front of Sapore, we scanned the nearby establishments and decided on Sapore when the owner? came out to the street and escorted us in. Once inside, the place was clean and nicely designed. And then i asked: "Where is everybody?". We sat and ordered calamari as an appetizer and Gnocchi bolognese for a pasta. Then we hungrily attacked the rock hard stale rolls. Being the only diners, our food came out quickly and service was excellent. The small portion of calamari were overcooked, rubbery, flavorless and mostly tentacles. The only saving grace in this restaurant was the tasty, meatless bolognese sauce on the good sized plate of gnocchi. Not the best ever, but far from the worst and acceptable. read more

For the price and style of the restaurant, left lots to be desired. I went with a very large group (15 people) and so while the service was a little slow, I wasn't bothered much by that. We had made reservations in advance, so it would have been nice to have 2 servers. Anyway, the food was okay, but nothing special in my opinion. For the price, I expect something unique and really memorable food. The lobster bisque soup was watery and I expect I could have had better from a can. The salmon and potatoes were good, but boring. Most of the others in our group enjoyed their meal as well, but again nothing memorable. The atmosphere and location is great but food was just ok, especially for the price. people are fantastic here and waiters are superb. Menu selections are numerous and quality is great. Portions are on the moderate side but the quality makes up for less than average quantity. I was really hungry so that may be unfair to state. I can say that my filet, and my friend's Salmon and Lamb chop were very good. The experience: Great outdoor seating, service was wonderful. One of our diners had some specific food allergies, and our waiter went out of his way to make sure the plate came out exactly as needed. The food: Steak Au Poive had a delicious sauce, and the Goat cheese and Spinach Ravioli was a hit. Filet mignon was cooked perfectly. The salad that was served to the table was also very good. Sapore Steak House - Mmmmmmm - Steakhouses Near Me - Fishkill, New York

My husband and I decided to try Sapore for restaurant week. Overall it was a mediocre experience. We couldn't help but feel that because we were there for restaurant week, we were treated like lesser patrons. We were never formally introduced to by a server, and were mostly taken care of by bus boys (who were excellent) but unfortunately were not responsible for checking in on the food and drinks. We sat with empty wine glasses for most of evening and when we finally got a refill, it wasn't what we were drinking, but the server was nowhere to be found. As soon as our dinner was cleared, our dessert was promptly dropped off by a bus boy and we were never asked if we wanted coffee (which we would have ordered.) My dessert was tasty (a coconut chocolate pie), but my husband's chocolate cake tasted like a product straight from the Pepperidge farm freezer. The food was not terrible but the presentation and service really took away from the experience. I've heard positive things about this place from friends but we did not have a good experience. I rarely write reviews but I felt like it was necessary to confirm some of the previous reviews. read more

Been here numerous times for restaurant week. We always get basically the same thing and love it. Escargot, steak w peppercorns and sauce. Wife usually does the same minus escargot, though last time she tried 1 and actually liked it. And that's saying something cuz if it's not steak, chicken or pasta, she ain't eating it! Stopped in Fishkill for a long, random weekend and spotted Sapore on Yelp...looked nice enough, menu seemed intriguing...so we gave it a shot. Besides our waitress, who was exceptional, this was a complete waste of an hour and half. We would have been disappointed by this food if it had come from Applebee's. Completely uninspired, bland, seemingly frozen, and sloppy food. We eat out regularly in Philly and price is never an issue for quality food...but not even factoring in the cost, this was one of the worst meals we've ever had. We started with the squid ink pasta app, which my girlfriend found passable but I thought was uninviting. Neither of us could eat the shrimp or calamari served with it and the sauce was all spice, no depth. The unexpected salad they brought next was the best part of the meal. For entrees, my girlfriend had the paella and I had steak au poive. This was an odd take on paella and once again, she could not stomach the seemingly unfresh fishyness of the shrimp and calamari. The one halved scallop was good though. My steak was ordered medium and came barely cooked...almost blue. I don't mind rare, so I went with it. By far the toughest piece of meat I've had in awhile. The sauce was OK, but nothing special. The accompanying fries were soggy. Overall...overpriced and awful. read more

My first experience here was absolutely terrible, we waited an hour and a half for our entree and got nothing in terms of apologies or assurances from the staff during this time. After avoiding it for a long time after this, we went back and actually had a pleasant dining experience, the steak was enjoyable although unremarkable, and the service was adequate. So overall my first dining experience was a 1 star, and the 2nd a 3 star, so I'll average it out to 2 but hopefully the service has improved since then. read more

Best steakhouse around, and don't hesitate to try their seafood platter very fresh and very well presented

Honestly, I found this place kinda disappointing. Someone I know who has been going there for a few years used to love it, and said the past couple times he's gone it seems they have gone downhill. Since this was the first time I've been there, I can't speculate on that, but it wasn't up to my expectations. We went on a Friday night, and probably first clue right off for 7pm on a Friday in this area, is that it wasn't all that busy. I mean, for a smallish dining room, there were a few tables that remained empty for our entire meal. The food, generally, was very good, and they have a fairly impressive wine list as well. Both of our entrees were delicious, so that was very pleasing. But for a more expensive restaurant - our entrees were $32 and $24 and the least expensive bottle of wine was $40 - I was shocked at the level of service. Again, I knew exactly what the price point was when going there, looked at the menu and had heard generally good things about the food, so thought I knew what to expect. But, having worked in the restaurant industry, the service here was simply NOT up to par with a higher end restaurant and with the image they portray. We didn't have one server - it was the style you expect at perhaps a casual dining place (which I deplore even there) where one person takes your order, then you never see that person again - a different person (a "runner") brings your food, someone else (a different server?) asks how things are going...it was very strange. The guy that I think was the maitre'd took our wine order. All of a sudden, a "runner" brought over a seafood platter we did not order and walked away quickly without saying anything, before we could explain that we did not order this. Apparently, it was supposed to go to the table next to ours, but it was a good 5 mins before we saw the maitre'd again and told him of the mistake. At this point, there were literally 3 tables in the place, and we hadn't even ordered any food yet. Then, the maitre'd took our dinner order, but that was the last we saw him. From then on, our plates were taken by runners or busboys, and another random waitress came over to ask if we wanted dessert, and we had to flag someone down to get a bottle of wine. They were not very busy at any point, especially for a Friday. Both of the "servers" who did interact with us were kind of awkward and weird. Also, the timing was a little off - we'd barely finished half the salad and our entrees came, and we weren't eating that slowly. The tiramisu I got for dessert was a certifiable disaster - I've had better from grocery stores. Very dry, NO flavor whatsoever of either espresso or the Frangelico they said was in it. At the table next to us, we overheard a gentlemen asking to get his Manhattan re-made THREE TIMES, and each time it was apparently totally incorrect - eventually having to literally tell the manager exactly how to make the drink, and the manager having to watch the bartender do it, as though the bartender had no clue what he was doing. The guy was pleasant enough about it, so I didn't get the impression that he was trying to be difficult - just that, when you're paying $10-$12 for one drink, you expect it to be made correctly. Another bad sign at a "high end" place. Overall, quite mediocre, and for the price, you can do MUCH better in this area. Our entrees were very good, yummy but not out-of-this-world, but the service and general atmosphere just really put us off. If I'm spending nearly $200 on a dinner for two, I expect a much higher quality of service. We live maybe 10 minutes away, and won't be going back. read more

This was my second visit to this very pricey steak house. I was underwhelmed the first time. The service on my first visit was good, but the food was just "okay." I ordered a T-Bone, medium rare, which was cooked to order but was inexplicably very dry. My second visit was a result of our first restaurant choice, Il Barilotto, being solidly booked. Since we had already parked, we opted for Sapore. Again, the food was just "okay." Again, I ordered the T-Bone, which was better than the first time. However, the service was terrible, very amateurish. We were with another couple, and ordered several appetizers with the stipulation that we wanted to share them. Instead, half an hour after we ordered them, they brought out individual portions of each appetizer. They were expensive, cold, and nothing special. We had to ask the waiter for plates. Again, an extended wait. I ordered a beer, and the ladies ordered a bottle of wine. I sat and waited until they were served before tasting my beer. It took the waiter almost half an hour to return with the bottle of wine. What gives? The entire dining experience lasted three and a half hours, and not because we were having a great time. We skipped dessert. Dinner for four with one beer, one soda, two bottles of wine, three appetizers (single portions) and a middling tip was $340. We could have had a superior meal at Charlie Brown's for less than half that price. read more

For a steakhouse in Fishkill it's pretty good. However, this place would never be able to compete if they were in NYC. For starters their steak knives are those big bread knives outback has. Their steaks are decent but they don't have have that same delicious flavor as Capital Grille or Delmonicos has. Do not come on a holiday ie (valentine's Day, New Years etc.) As the food is rushed and pre made. As for the wait staff they seem to be all over the place and are not in sync with the bussers and runners. read more

My family visited Sapore on May 20th for a double birthday celebration, we made reservations a week in advance. We were served MOLDY rolls and I notified the manager. The manager sent the busboy over, he placed new rolls on the same dish and put the MOLDY rolls in the bread basket that he was carrying. We (4) ordered filet mignons that were delicious but could not thoroughly enjoy, we were apprehensive about the freshness. The manager never came over to apologize for the problem or even compensate us a cup of coffee. They own other restaurants that are fabulous, this experience was far below par. Whoever owns this place has clearly lost all interest in providing any kind of integrity and quality for both food and service. Please bear with me and read it all, I promise it's worth it. We started off with some drinks and ordered the "grilled calamari." Before the calamari arrived, a man came around and served bread and butter. The presentation of this bread appeared to be their rendition of a formal dining affair. We took a bite and simultaneously said "did they get yesterday's leftovers from the local deli?" It was that bad. Ok no big deal, it's just bread right, but this can be bad sign of what's to come in any restaurant. Turns out, it was definitely a sign of the hell to come at this place. Out comes the grilled calamari. It was completely inedible. I'm am not exaggerating when I tell you it was hard rubber. We kindly explained this to our server, who took it back, and then returned to tell us, "we're sorry but we're now out of calamari." Really? It's 8:30pm on a Friday evening and no calamari? Wow ok...I'm sure you all can think of your own many things to say about that. We then decided to opt out of ordering other apps (as we were now suddenly pretty cautious), and just waited for the entrees. Out comes the Lobster Ravioli and Long Island Duck with Dried Cherries & Port Wine Reduction. Now before trying our entrees, we had to flag someone down for some utensils to eat them with. They'd taken our utensils away with the calamari and didn't happen to see the significance of providing us with any more for dinner. (The bread presentation was quite the pomp and circumstance show, but I guess that's where the show ended.) I wish you could actually have seen the ravioli. It really was horribly unsightly, like someone threw it up on the plate. Site aside, the taste of it...I wouldn't feed it to my dog. It was clearly frozen ravioli with that "minced" lobster inside, topped with this horrible tomato like paste. This is the menu description: Sautéed in Cognac, Fresh Tomato, Rock Shrimp & Crushed Red Pepper...$28. I could go on forever about how this ravioli went horribly wrong, but this review is already long enough. Let's just say, at the very least, that cognac hadn't been in the same universe as this dish. This was my date's dinner. My meal was the duck. The duck itself was "passable." It was cooked decently, however the "dried cherries and port wine reduction sauce" was like a mouthful of tart cherry. Killed it. At this point I opted out of eating the duck because I certainly wasn't going to sit and eat dinner while my date had nothing to eat. We'd had enough, decided not to order anything else at that point, and decided to just go. Now this is where it finally gets outrageously offensive... The server comes over and we kindly explain to her that the ravioli is inedible and we're passing on the duck, so we'd just like our check and we'll be done for the evening. She's offers a weak apology, as if she could care less (please know that all the while we were also very sweet and cheerful with her). As she's taking the entrees away she says, "would you like some to go containers?" In a speechless manner we simultaneously chimed "no thank you," and looked at each other and said "did she just say that?" As we're literally shaking our heads, she brings the check out and announces, "since you didn't like the calamari we took that off the bill as a courtesy." What?!?! Did she just say that too??? So I say, "it's not that we just didn't like it, it was completely indelible as we explained. Apart from that, are you saying our entrees are actually ON the bill?" She says yes. I say, "I'd like to see you manager please." Out comes the manager, after several minutes (he must have been busy...we were the only diners in the place on a Friday night), who approached our table with the look and stance of someone in combat. We attempted to explain our meals, but went unheard and were rudely interrupted by his seriously offensive tone and speech (his exact starting words are a bit of blur because I was seeing red at that point), but then he literally says to us, verbatim, in a tone of FU, "if you order it off the menu you pay for it." Stunned, but now very ticked off and focused, I tell him in so many words that I'm shocked that this is how he speaks to and treats patrons, and Both my date and I tell him unequivocally that we WILL NOT be paying for our entrees. He tells us "ok I'll call the police." We tell him "please do, we'll wait right there for them to arrive." He leaves the table to call, we presume, but then returns with the check, which then had all of the food removed. We paid our $38 drink bill (we had a total of one drink each), by leaving $50 in cash (yeah we tipped the server, we would have tipped for what the entire bill would have been, but not after that mess...), and promptly left. So...do yourselves a favor people and don't gamble your evening on this place. read more

High Price doesn't always mean great food and in this case. The prices are astronomical and the qualtiy leaves much to be desired. I read the reviews and just can't see how our experience differs so greatly from some of the others, especially when the table next to us felt exactly the same as we did. I love Buffalo meat and since they were one of the few in the area that serve buffalo, i figured I woudl try them out. The place was quaint and upscale, sort of old fashioned victorian looking inside, oil paintings that resemble more of a Tuscan setting than a steak house setting. The decor does not fit the menu . The manger was always on the floor, seemed to be fielding a lot of complaints about undercooked food. I asked if they had a wheat beer, but unfortunately they only had a few other kinds of draft beer so the selection was very limited and the waitress had no clue what kind of beer they had on tap other than Guiness. I settled for wine and asked what they had per glass. She said they had house wine by the glass, not brands, she just called it house wine. I settled for a glass of red which ended up being a below average grade. What upscal restaurant doesn't offer good wine by the glass? Not all of us are looking to buy a full bottle, especially since my wife doesn't care for red and I am not a fan of white Zinfindel like she does. After reviewing the menu I decided to order the stuffed mushrooms as my appetizer and a Buffalo Shell steak for my entre'. The appetizer took forever. I think we were seatined around 6pm and by the time we got our appetizer it was almost 7pm. The appetizer came and looked abit overcooked. I tried my 1st bite and it crunched in my teeth like when you bite into sand when eating barely cleaned scallops or shellfish. The taste was very bland, nothing to pep up the flavor in it. I've had better at chain restaurants. I took another bite and again it was crunchy, and this time I had to pull out pieces of black burnt carbon waste as if it was something scraped off a dirty grill. I sent it back immediately and the brought out another. Again, the taste was bland, but no crunch this time. The salad came and it was a bit more flavorful. However, there were tiny pieces of what I think were olive pits or maybe pieces of wood. If there is one thing I hate, it is food that crunches in my teeth like dirt or wood. Finally, the Buffalo steak came out with string beans and potatoes. As I looked at it, I was amazed that they could even serve me something that was about 1/3 or more fat and grizzle. The fat/grizzle was literally staring me in the face. This was not a $32.00 cut of buffalo steak, not to mention, that buffalo is supposed to be practically fatless. Maybe this buffalo had a thyroid problem. Anyhow, the chef should never serve a disgusting piece of steak like this, even if it is regular beef. I asked for a medium and ofcourse it came out rare on the inside and burnt on the outside (the grill is obviously up too high.) I immediately sent it back. The manager told me that he would return it for another, better cut. He took it back to the kitchen and then came backout to tell me that there was no more buffalo. I decided to try the beef Fillet Mignon. Again, I ordered it medium. He assured me that it would come out medium. When I got it, the 1st thing I did was to cut it in half and it was medium rare on the inside and burnt on the outside (obviously the chef has no clue that meat doesn't cook faster with the grill on high?). He asked if it was cooked right and I said no, but I told him that I was willing to eat that way since I was no hungry. I soon realized that there were no string beans or potatoes, which were supposed to come with the fillet, as it did on the plate I sent back. As I tried to make the best of it, I watched as both the gentlement and the lady next to our table sent thier fillets back for being too rare. After they received their recook, the gentleman had to send his fillet back a 2nd time as it was once again rare when he ordered it medium. When I got the bill, it was over $100.00 for my wife and myself. The time was 9pm when we finally got out of their. 3 hours to eat dinner... Wow! So much for doing anything else that evening. My wife had the duck dinner. She told me that she has had much better duck at Chinese restaurants. I can honestly say, I have had better service and better quality food at Longhorn Steakhouse and paid less than half the price. One good thing I can say, is that the manager was very willing to repalce the food with another plate (unfortunately, not much better than the 1st plate), but since he had to do it more than once, he should have offered us a free dessert or an esspreso or something for the inconvenience. I will not be going back to spend any more time or money at a place. What a Disapointment.... read more

I heard there were a lot of great new restaurants upstate and in the Hudson Valley but this is not one of them! I was really excited to try this place out while visiting a friend upstate and the menu looked promising with some interesting game meat, but what a disappointment! Things started out well with some nice albeit small appetizers but it all went downhill from there. We waited an hour for our food even though the restaurant was only half full. When the entrees finally arrived they were all very disappointing. My venison was seared on the outside but completely raw on the inside and it was cold! Ditto for my friend who got the same. I know medium rare and this was not it! Clearly the cook had the grill on too high. My friends' Cornish hen was very dry and way over salted. Another entree of lamb chops was mostly fat. When our waiter came over and asked how everything was we expressed our discontent but were met with surprise and disbelief. He asked us exactly what was wrong and when we listed all our grievances he only offered a curt "I will pass it on to the chef". No offer of apologies,a replacement dish, free dessert or even a gratuit drink. Our entire party was appalled at our treatment. Never again! read more

Poor treatment, my food wasn't ordered properly and the steak came out slightly undercooked... The night started off wierd when i walked in for dinner and there was no host (and it wasn't a busy night nor where there any large groups), yet the bartender didn't even greet me. After having to essentially walk in to the dinning room to catch the eye of a waiter, someone came to seat me. I was then given the menu. While deciding on what i would eat, I noticed others who came in received the wine list and bread as a sign of hospitality but I was never offered anything but water (maybe it was a result of me wearing sneakers, although there isnt a required/suggested dress code). So after ordering, i asked for the wine list, but was never asked what i wanted to drink. The "lobster bisque" arrived and had no lobster in it. The salad had old lettuce and when I asked the waiter to change it, his response was "I've been serving this all night and haven't recieved a complaint". So after having to convince him to take it back, he took it back and what I believe was the manager who is an older Irish gentleman, stopped by to convince me the salad is made fresh (while is body language and tone was that of being offended) and offered to swap it. I don't understand why they wouldn't just replace it without getting defensive and trying to force me to take that salad. Then my steak (with a delicious peppercorn sauce) arrived and it was good but slightly under cooked. As the food arrived, I reminded the server that the older gentleman/manager put in my order for additional sides and come to find out, he never put them in. So I ate my steak, and finally the sides showed up when I was done with my meal. Needless to say they weren't appoligentic, so I told the server it's too late now, take it back. I got my desert (it's restaurant week so the desert was included), paid and left. I won't be a returning customer. read more

I've been here a few times, always happy. Nice décor, friendly staff, but it's on the expensive side - $12 for top shelf drinks - tab is always $150 with a few apps, entrees and drinks, but I think it's worth it. Apps are good - wife likes the calamari and is a tough critic, I've had the lump crab meat, and the mozz - both were good (not great). This place shines with the entrees - we usually have the steak, I like the fillet which has been fantastic, wife likes tastier cuts, both are always great here. They cook it just right and check to make sure it is right, or else they will happily take it back, which is comforting to me, since the wife won't hesitate to send stuff back, which often makes me cringe. read more

The restaurant has gone under new management...and wow, what a difference!! The food, ambiance, drinks and service were excellent. There were four in our group, two had steaks and two had seafood...all four entrees were delicious! I especially enjoyed my Chilean Sea Bass. The guys thoroughly enjoyed their steaks, and the side dishes (especially the scalloped potatoes were to die for!!!). The staff was exceptional, offering suggestions for wine and helpful hints on side dishes. The salad served with the entrees was quite nice also! Please give this restaurant another try with the new management, you definitely won't regret it!!! read more

I suggest Sapore for any body who likes sea food, and steak houses. Tonight I had Paris tea( which I suggest if you are a fan of fruit black teas), I had the crab meat cocktail which was outstanding. The dipping sauces were a combination of horse radish, and ketchup and the other sauce was a mayo sauce which was pretty fantastic as well. Another dish that I would suggest if you like tuna, or sea food is the Ahi Tuna. It is tuna crusted with poppy seeds, sesame seeds, and it is bedded with a wasabi ginger sauce that is spicy but it adds a nice kick to it. The waiters are nice, polite, and the restaurant has great service. So this restaurant deserves an A+!!!! read more

This is easily the best steakhouse in the area. Went for my girlfriends birthday and could not have been happier. We started with clams and calamari, for a steakhouse the seafood was excellent. For dinner we had hanger steak and one of they're seafood specials. Best steak ever, period. The desserts were also homemade and great. The drinks, for martinis were perfect pours and great as well. Our favorite part of the meal may have been the phenomenal service we received from our server Artianna. She was personable, enthusiastic and knew all the specials off the top of her head. A must eat at in my eyes and the rest our parties. Great job guys! read more

We had the pleasure of dining at Sapore and it did not disappoint! The management, Gunter, was so kind and accommodating. He even let us stay when we arrived so late in the evening. Great menu and the food was fine cuisine quality. Gunter would regale to our party with stories of his Germany homeland. Hilarious!! Will definitely come back!! read more

My first date night after having a baby and boy did I make the wrong dining choice. I would take your money and spend it elsewhere. This place is extremely overpriced and mediocre at best. It struck me odd that there were no salads on this menu. Come to find out there is salad and it is served family style. No where does it indicate that on the menu. Had our waitress told us that we probably would have skipped the appetizers. I ordered the crab cake which ironically tasted like the ones I make for Christmas ( and I am not a chef!) and my husband ordered the lobster bisque which was ok but not great. For dinner I ordered the filet mignon and a side of mashed potatoes. Nowhere on the menu does it indicate that it is a la carte but it is so for a filet and some basic run-of-the-mill mashed potatoes it cost $40.00. In my book totally not worth it. The meat was served on a white plate...that's it. It was literally a piece of meat on a plate. There were no greens no color no plate decor. I was very unimpressed. The piece of meat was good but not fabulous like I had expected based on reviews and for a steakhouse. My husband ordered a special. It was swordfish covered and swimming in some red sauce with capers. Now, my husband and I are NOT food complainers EVER ( as a matter of fact this is my first review) ..but this dish was horrible. I was gonna switch with him because I felt bad but I couldn't even eat it. The sauce was so bland. It was like someone dumped a can of Contandina Tomato Paste mixed it with 1/2 cup of water and capers and then drowned the fish in it. I would have told the waitress that it was not good but she never asked how our meal was going. We skipped dessert. While waiting for the $127.00 check all I kept thinking was how I wish I had gone to Il Barolito across the street. The ambience was nice except the table next to us with the obnoxious 5 year old ( I have 3 kids of my own) and the dad who kept trying out the ringtones on his new phone.
