Bad news. El Sarape closed and reopened as "Tacos and Cheves." Wrong move. It was our favorite place to have Mexican. It's basically a snack bar now. No servers. All the booths have been taken out. You order up where the bar used to be and then sit down. They didn't have ANY of our favorite plates and you have to pay for chips and salsa. That was the deal breaker. We walked out. Won't go again. Fater pasing this place like hundreds of times I finallt decide to give it a try on my way back from Havasu this weekend. Really good authentic Mexican food. 7 or 8 bucks for most combos on the menu. A dollar less then that if your in before 2PM. I had #11 Chicken enchilada and soft chicken taco, delicious. The chicken was moist and definitely had flavor. They had a nice salsa bar which was a suprise for a regular dining room style restaurant. Too bad I was on a roadtrip. They got pitchers of margaritas for $20. and domestic beer for $2.50. Service was good, quick and friendly. The place is a little rough around the edges which is tottally fine with me. Just wish the floor was a little cleaner. If you are expecting chain like "welcome to chilis"'service.. This is not your place.. This is straight up mom/pop dishing out some home cooked food. Yes you have to flag them down for refills.. More salsa etc.. No big deal in my book. They have moved 3 times since we've been coming here from LBC for over a decade now.. Their new place is back on the main drag .. New cool look for them: -same free chips/salsa -salsa bar -huge soda cups -lots of beer or marg choices -great for small or med or very large groups.. -few tvs if ur looking to catch some sports As long as they keep whoever is cooking or holds the secret to the marinated chicken.. This was recommended to me by a coworker and it did not disappoint. I ordered the Rosarito which came with a shrimp taco, shrimp enchilada, guacamole, sour cream, rice and beans. The red sauce on the enchilada was lovely and the shrimp taco was amazing! Make sure to stop by the salsa bar to try all their salsas beyond the kind they bring to the table. read more

Little over priced for the food but if your in Parker it's one the better Mexican places.

Food: Ordered Pollo Asado burrito and the Carnitas burrito for lunch. Chicken had no "asada" flavor. Very plain. Carnitas was not bad but very average. Service: All the servers around us seemed awesome....ours treated us like we were lucky to be here. Cleanliness: We were one of the 1st customers in the restaurant and you would've thought it would be very clean but the dining area was not clean and bathrooms were dirty as well. This was the best Mexican food I and my husband have had in a very long time. You are a diamond in the rough. Your sign out front needs to be bigger I thought it was a where house. Great food. Had the taco salad and the chili Verde meat was so tasty and delicious. Great presentation. Husband had the combo and his chili relleno and chicken enchilada and he loved the rice. Great local Mexican restaurant. I recently ordered the Birria taco plate. Comes with rice and beans and a cup of consume to dip the taco in. I will say this is the best birria taco I have had. We were seated quickly. While waiting for drinks and food you receive complimentary chips and salsa (you can ask for hotter salsa). The water was refreshing and the limonada was the best I've had. The limonada tasted fresh squeezed. The food came out quickly. We ordered a carne asada chimichanga and tacos. The carne asada meat was very flavorful and I would highly recommend. We also ordered a cheese quesadilla. It was your standard quesadilla and overall good. Ordered the chicken enchiladas and tacos meal. The chicken was very flavorless. Hence the loss of a star. I'd recommend ordering one of the other meat options. Overall, I would return but wouldn't order chicken as the meat preference. read more

Their food is amazing! There weren't a lot of restaurants open but so glad we stopped at this one. Service was good but food was better . It was clean inside and very spacious for big groups. It's a must to try this place if you're in town. I had the Chile verde shrimp enchiladas they were not spicy but man were they flavorful, the girl told me it's the same sauce they use for Chile verde burritos. One of the best Mexican food places I've been to! My whole family of 6 was hyped on everything we ordered. The drinks are a must, we had pina coladas, strawberry daiquiris, margaritas, and horchata, all of which were amazing. Carlos was an awesome server who kept our chip bowls filled. The salsa bar was also delicious, although our favorite was the one served with the chips anyways. Overall, will be coming back when we find ourselves in Parker again!! read more

We have been here a few times and always been good. The service has been slow at times but friendly. The food has good flavor and have not had any problems with it. Try out the salsa bar good variety. Very good rice and beans. They have a full bar. We loved the chips and salsa. Wife had the tostada said it was tasty. Once coming back after a server stepped in to start taking orders.Cajera was pleasant. Drinks and chips and salsa were to be delivered to the table, after seeing the group behind get the chips then there food I went up to ask, then got greated with an attitude after being ignored by 2 employees eating in the back. Once getting the food and chips and drinks all at once were the experience was NOT there when you feel rushed. Food and service quality has gone downhill. I've been coming here for years and it's just not the same as it used to be. Used to be great, however during our last trip we came here more than once for dinner and both times we weren't impressed. Food was bland, the carne asada was way too chewy, fajitas hardly had any meat, and it's not authentic Mexican food. The servers seemed like they hated their jobs and didn't want to be there. They were slow to come to our table and when my baby started crying and getting restless, I asked for a flour tortilla for her to chew on, and the server acted like it was so inconvenient and so much work. Very disappointing. We found another Mexican restaurant in Parker to eat at. I won't return here. read more
