It has been a long time since I have given 5 stars. This place was phenomenal. First, ample parking. Indoor and outdoor seating. The place was packed on Tuesday but we got greeted and seated right away. They had specials until 11a that included coffee but we opted for the skillets. San Antonio and Florentine. One with pancakes and one with rye bread. The pancakes were very good! The size of the plate. The toast was like homemade bread. Not the thin grocery store kind. Plus blackberry jelly, my favorite. The ketchup was organic heinz and they had chalula hot sauce, also my favorite (more on that later). The skittets were so good and came out quick! So good that I didn't use hot sauce, which says a lot. Our server, shame on me for not knowing her name/the receipt said Gerry, was smiling and happy. Made a recommendation. More importantly she took away our dirty dishes as soon as they were cleared of food. The staff are all diverse and friendly. Now someone complained about if you have a big group don't come. A group of 9 came in and sat right down. My only complaint (and this is so minor for me I'm knitpicking) is my eggs I ordered over medium on my skillet but they were more over easy. Went here for lunch after a long walk and man were we hungry! We were seated right away and our drink order was taken. Our waiter ended up being someone who was in training, but he did pretty well and was super energetic the whole time, also very willing to learn from his mistakes. This being our first time here, we weren't really sure what to order, so we asked for some suggestions after narrowing it down. He said he has eaten at this place for years and his favorite item is the reuban sandwich. He also recommended that the chicken bella wrap was receiving high compliments from the specials menu. We ordered both. First off, I thought this place seemed a little pricey as the wrap with a side of potato salad and a pickle spear was almost $12, but then when I saw the plate come out it made sense. The wrap was stuffed with chicken, goat cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes, and lettuce. One note was that the dressing was not on the side like I asked for, but it didn't overpower the wrap, so I was fine. Overall it had a very balanced flavor and you could get goat cheese in every bite which was surprising. The potato salad was also good, but maybe could have used a kick more spice. I definitely could have gotten two meals out of this! The reuban also received great reviews. The one thing was that our waiter forgot that my friend was supposed to get soup on the side with it, but when we asked he took full responsibility and brought it out quickly. I think he was thrown off because with the specials, soup doesn't come with, but with the regular sandwiches it does. The butternut squash and apple soup was not overly sweet and had some onion flavor which was nice. The coleslaw that came with also had a nice acidity to it. My friend said that the reuban was some of the best corned beef he has had, but it did at times get a little overwhelmed by other parts of the sandwich. This place is a foodies major delight! The stuffed French toast alone was worth coming here and I didn't have it, a neighboring table didn't and all they could was rave about it.
