Never, never, never order the Philly Steak and Cheese Pizza...absolutely nasty. The sauce was actually steak sauce and horribly over-powering. The chianti was very good and not too over-priced. Glad we ordered the appetizers since they were very good and filled up those of us who couldn't eat their meals. The marinara sauce was way to spicy and had to be scrapped off the kids plate for a child to be able to eat. The Marsala sauce was way to sweet and the chicken Parmesan was linguini and sauce with a piece of baked chicken on top smothered in mozzarella cheese. I really didn't find the first bit of Parmesan anywhere. Bill was close to $300 with the tip. You would think they would have asked why so many meals were left behind. We were told our pizza will get in 30 to 45 minutes. It took them 1h and 30 minutes to deliver. Pizza came in lukewarm and I have called to talk to the manager but I never gotten a call back. When I called after an hour to remind them on my pizza, the person on the phone said there's not much they can do. Very poor customer service if you ask me. read more

Amazing service! Came in at 6pm on a Friday and the customer service was amazing. Fresh breadsticks and salad, constant refills, and unlimited amount of kindness. Ordered just a plan cheese hand tossed pizza. Took over 85 min to get it delivered and then it was wrong and cold.

Review would be better except for: 1. $7.95 salad was small and had very little dressing. Parmesan cracker with it was very good. High price for a small salad. 2. A $24.20 14" split pizza did not qualify as an entree which could have reduced the price of the salad. Really? When asked about this the manager was fairly rude and said it was explicitly written in the menu that a pizza was not an entree. Untrue. 3. Waiter was aloof, unsmiling, hard to understand, and unfriendly. The helpers were much more pleasant. Unless you want an $8 small salad, unfriendly waiter, and a nearly $25 pizza, I would skip it. The order was wrong, the kids meals were missing items (meatballs), my friends order had little to zero sauce on his meatball sandwich, my carpaccio was an embarrassment. The restaurant is beautiful, dimly lit and very romantic. The staff was great and very attentive. The food was terrible. The best part of our meal was the bread sticks (they weren't good) and oil. Chicken alfredo was terrible and had no taste. My husband had chicken Marsala and my son had spaghetti and meatballs, both taste like they were out of a can. Went with four adults and five kids. While I felt a little bad for the neighboring tables, there were plenty of kids at tables throughout. The food is a little old school. They gave us slightly greasy garlic bread sticks to start. I had the Mediterranean chicken, which was tasty but a bit too rich for my tastes. The starter salad was very plain but a nice enough touch. Relatively unfriendly when greeting us at the host's table. Didn't have any bread option other than breadsticks. Why? Our server was not using common sense during the ordering process to allow us to look at the menu and take time before asking multiple times if we wanted to order. Our server also forgot to bring silverware at first as well as the smaller plates for appetizers even though she delivered the appetizers first. The food was not very warm, but at that point we were all starving. Would never order from there again! The best part of this place is the food (it's an Italian eatery), as it should be. It's a pretty casual place but if you were to dress up a little bit it wouldn't be a bad idea. The atmosphere is more upscale than other restaurants around the area, the only down point I can think of is that the menu isn't as large as I expected it to be. If they were to expand it that would be awesome but either way people still pack in. They have a huge bar, and on certain nights live music which is very laid back. The night I went there was a guy playing the guitar and the piano and singing songs from the 70s. I figured that even though it defiantly was sit by the bar and relax music, something more Italian or upscale would have fit the place better. The prices are slightly hefty as well but I suppose that's to be expected, I can't think of any sit down Italian places that have super cheap food. read more

I went here with a friend and we got the pizza, which was delicious. The only complaint I have, is that we felt like we were being looked down upon for being younger. We ordered pizza delivery for dinner a few nights ago and it was wonderful, so decided to go in person after a long day of swimming when we needed carbs. It was our 6th anniversary so decided to try Sarento's after hearing great reviews from locals as well as reading some not so good on-line. We had reservations for 5:45 and were seated promptly. They offered a table and I asked for a booth and we were happily seated after it was wiped and redressed. Our beverage order was taken after only a moment and brought out swiftly along with piping hot bread sticks with olive oil and the server proceeded to take our order. I did think it was odd that balsamic vinegar was not on the table with the oil but all I did was ask and it arrived. We started with the Calamari Sarento and were very impressed with it. It was absolutely delicious and we will definitely have it again! Next came our salads. He had a house salad which he said was delicious "for a house salad". I opted to add on the Caprese Salad and it was perfect. The mozzarella was chilled, the tomatoes were firm and the basil was fresh. There were slivers of purple onion which gave it a nice flavor and it was also drizzled with a thick balsamic reduction. He ordered the traditional lasagna and I choose the Tagliatelle Bolognese. The lasagna was in deed traditional and delicious, I had a small bite and he exclaimed how tasty it was. My dinner was outstanding. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauce was decadent but not too heavy and the flavor overall was out of this world. We also ordered a tiramisu which was actually complimentary since it was our anniversary. Our entire experience was very pleasant and professional but not stuffy. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 stars is because there was one female table assistant who didn't smile or really acknowledge us the entire time she was near our table. She filled our water glassed a few times and both times I thanked her but she didn't look at me or say anything in response. The whole time we were in the restaurant she never smiled once. However, upon our departure she said something in a small voice and smiled. I actually couldn't make it out. I'm assuming she said thank you. Starting with the olive oil on the table, it was a very cheap brand that I would use to grease a pan with, not to serve at an upscale Italian restaurant. The gnocchi was mushy and overcooked. The fish was very good. A dining companion had chicken parmesan and said it wasn't very good. The waiter recommended dessert and most particularly tiramisu. I can't remember the last time I ate pizza this bad. I actually think Space Golf pizza has more flavor and substance than your "pizza" (basically just stale bread and cheese). 2.4/10 easily. I thought Wisconsin might have good pizza cuz you know cheese but obviously I was mistaken. This ruined my whole family vacation and now my parents are getting a divorce. The prices are typical dells, overpriced compared to non tourist traps, but the food is a fair value. The interior is very well done, traditional Italian. Good lighting levels for a more intimate dinner. The children's menu is more diverse than other places, giving picky eaters more options and frustrated parents a chance to pick something besides mac and cheese, pizza, and chicken nuggets.
