The food came out hot, cooked perfectly, and the portions were huge. The fried rice was seasoned just right, the chicken was tender, and the steak had that perfect hibachi flavor that tastes like it came straight off a grill at a sit-down restaurant. The place may be inside a gas station, but don't let that fool you. It was clean, busy, and honestly one of those hidden gems you almost don't want to tell people about because you know it's going to stay packed. It's a small smaller Styrofoam container and it just had an average amount of rice in it lots of vegetables and just a little bit of shrimp and chicken. It only came with Yum Yum sauce and no ginger sauce, but there were a couple soy sauce packets in the bag. The taste was just OK. I think that the pictures look better when you see them online then the actual food tastes. The rice was fluffy versus what you really normally have as a fried rice. It actually needed a little bit of salt and didn't have the best taste. It was a little bland. The vegetables are cooked. well they're not too crispy not too soft and have a decent taste. The meat was nothing special not any real seasoning and just as if it were, cooked in a frying pan with very little oil. It really didn't taste like hibachi or what you would think of as hibachi. The sides of the chicken were as if the chicken stuck to the pan like you would do it at home and it didn't look overall just cooked like hibachi where there's no real crispy sides surrounding the meat. I found the Yum Yum sauce to be kind of weird. It almost tasted sweet with a funny aftertaste. So I probably won't use this sauce. This is a very average outing for me. I normally might put a two on this, but it wasn't nasty. It just wasn't great so the three is what I gave it. I will not be ordering this again because my other place is so delicious that this pales in comparison. I'm not even sure if I will continue to eat this. I may just end up throwing it away. This hibachi doesn't seem like hibachi. It seems like someone who just decide to cook up cut up meat and do some fluffy rice. The price was a little expensive for what you got and it wasn't a lot of food like hibachi would normally be. There wasn't a three meat combination option except the one with the noodles, but there wasn't an option to sub the noodles for rice, which should definitely be an option. I also think that when you have hibachi, you should get both Yum Yum and ginger sauce with your order. I'm not a hibachi cook or anything, but I think they need to use more oil and the meat wouldn't be too brown on the sides and then I'm not sure the right rice is being used ...Or either that the proper cooking surface is either hot enough or used as well. Not my job to be able to figure out these operations, but I won't be ordering this again.
