I wish my meal looked like this everytime, chicken teriyaki on a good day!
    Nicole S.

The food is good & this place has been in the mall a long time, which must speak for itself at some point, but there are flaws. I only order the chicken teriyaki. Here are the pros: 1. Simple ordering, limited menu so it seems they have done well in what they have to offer. 2. The meat is trimmed better from what it was like years ago. I am really glad they started paying more attention to this. 3. Generous helping, if you're going to go all in and need double the meat the day it's worth it & the pricing is fair. Here are my cons: 1. It is greasy, if you don't like grease this is not the place for you. 2. It's about the food and rush, rush, rush... I don't feel they are rude, hey are just in a hurry and keep pushing for upgrades. No I don't want an eggroll, no I don't want a drink, today I don't want double meat. 3. I have an issue with the sanitation. I keep telling myself everything is cooked so anything nasty goes away but sometimes when they just started cooking and I have a to wait a few minutes for everything to cook... well, you start looking around the work environment and questioning your choice of food for the day. Out of the 3093210321093 asian food places in the mall, this is the one I'd go to and like I said, this is the one that has lasted over the last fifteen or so years.

I am writing this review not because I like eating at the mall. But if you are at the mall and want to grab a bite, this place is a "go to". I went shopping with the family and the wife got Chik Filet for the kiddo. We decided on Sarku. We got The Teriyaki Chicken and Teriyaki Beef and Shrimp. You have your choice if steamed white rice, fried rice, or steamed vegetables. All very tasty. Don't get suckered by the cook at the end asking for an a dollar for a scoop of extra Teriyaki sauce, it comes for free. Will eat here again when we are the mall.

This place is pretty good for a quick meal at the mall but doesn't taste like your regular old "food court" food from the mall. The food is made fresh to order , not just sitting under a heating light like other Asian places.

Never a disappointment here. I get the teriyaki chicken and shrimp over fried rice, don't forget the Siracha.

By far my favorite place to get chicken and shrimp teriyaki. I just wish they were not inside the mall because you have to put up with mall traffic inside and outside honestly think this place would do good on another location but till they move I will continue to come inside the mall to get my chicken and shrimp teriyaki. It is a little pricey maybe since i get a drink and spring rolls but still once in awhile doesn't hurt.

A few friends and I stopped by Ichiro Izakaya Yakitori on a Saturday afternoon right when they…read moreopened at 4:30, and there was already a line forming outside. If you've been wanting to try this place, I'd definitely recommend arriving early. Parking was probably the most challenging part of the visit. There was a rummage sale happening nearby, so the area was busier than usual. They do have a designated parking lot, but it's very small and fills up quickly. Most people will likely need to rely on street parking, which took a little patience that day. The restaurant itself is tiny, but that's part of the charm. There's a bar area that seats around 10 to 12 people and only a handful of tables. We were a party of three and were seated right away, but I could see larger groups having a harder time finding space together. The tables are also on the smaller side, so once the food starts arriving things can get a little crowded. That said, the food completely lived up to the hype. Everything we ordered was delicious. The chicken karaage was crispy and flavorful, the marinated ribeye was tender and packed with flavor, and my favorite dish of the night was easily the beef yakisoba. We each ordered a starter, three skewers, and a side that our server recommended, and every plate disappeared quickly. The atmosphere felt lively and busy, with Japanese figurines and decorations displayed throughout the restaurant. I overheard another guest mention that it reminded them of places they had visited in Japan, which made me appreciate the attention to detail even more. One thing to note - we were told they don't split bills, which wasn't a problem for our group, but it's something to know ahead of time if you're dining with friends.

Overall, they did an excellent job recreating the classic izakaya experience. The two downsides I experienced were the bar chairs and the chicken karaage. The chicken was dry on the outside without any sort of battering, which I had not experienced outside of diet naked tenders and certainly not anywhere I ate in Japan, but the quality of the chicken itself was good and highly juicy to the point where I burned myself on my first bite with a geyser of hot water. The bar seating was a nice touch but I found myself constantly sliding back in my chair and very low to the table. The sheer number of chairs packed into the bar was also authentic, as brushing elbows does indeed happen a lot in little shops like this, even if we are not used to it here. The yaki onigiri was absolutely amazing, crunchy and sweet, and the yakisoba was delicious with the rather interesting addition of mayo on the side. I wasn't sure I'd like it but it worked well. All in all, I'd definitely come by again to scratch the itch to not drop a grand on a trip lol
