My favorite chicken terryaki place. Sometimes it's a bit more burnt than others but to this day, it tastes like home. Service is rough but quick. They don't want to speak with you any longer than they need to. There's usually a brief line but you get your order pretty quickly. They've been here for as long as I know and this spot will always have a place in my heart. Chicken Terryaki: The chicken is cooked well, usually not dried out or burnt. Think they could use just a tad bit more sauce but it's still seasoned well. The veggies are just heated up and don't taste like much. The rice is made in bulk so it could be a bit fluffier but not too dry. Ambience: Since it's in the food court of a mall, it tends to get pretty packed and loud. Not sure if they are being dishonest; I ordered at around 6 pm. Secondly, the taste of their food is very bland. Their fried rice is almost akin to white rice, with the exception of having to add a few dollars. Do pay heed to the other reviews and order carefully! The cashier (usually the lady) enters the orders very quickly so know what you want and how much it costs before you get in line! So right now they're having the chicken teriyaki "special" which is a couple cents difference from the regular chicken teriyaki. What's the difference though? More chicken? I got the special and the queue moves along and got my food in a matter of minutes. There's a reason there's frequently a line here! The combination of the dark meat chicken, the flat wok and the freshness of the meal comes together to give you hands down some of the best food you can have for under $7.00. I've had their chicken with noodles and their beef with fried rice as well as their vegetable with noodles. The meats are more tastier and very filling. The wait isn't that long either.
