Gayle and I are "9-5" people. That means that we're usually in bed by 9 PM and up by 5 AM. A few days ago, technical difficulties what was supposed to be a nice 3 hour non-stop from Reno to MSP, turned into an all day journey that diverted us to San Francisco, involved a 3 hour layover, and concluded with a Delta non-stop to MSP from SFO. So our planned Noonish arrival in MSP, ended up to be closer to 9:45 plus baggage claim and rental car pickup. Yes, we were tired, but we did pick up a little second wind. We were originally going to drive down to Spirit Lake, but decided to stay the night at a Hyatt airport hotel. My guess is that we rolled into the Hyatt at around 10:30, and of course there wasn't really any nearby restaurants or food service at the hotel. They did offer beer and wine, which was a good start. Hotel Staff provided us a brochure for Sarpino's Pizzaria, of which we decided that a close to midnight meal (factoring in delivery time) was better than going to bed. We ordered a large calzone of which Gayle and I devoured soon after delivery. Sarpino's App was easy to use and pay for our choice, with the tracking function and delivery time being very accurate. Our delivery guy was also friendly, efficient, and helpful with not only delivering or order, but providing plates, utencils, and napkins. read more

Excellent delivery pizza. We were recommended Sarpino's by the front desk at our hotel and were very happy to find they are open late and deliver (fast!) Then we saw all of the different speciality pizzas they offer and Italian food, salads and sides. We had the Mediterranean and the Hawaiian and they were great. They were rude to my partner on the phone and rude to me in person over their attempted refusal to honor an unexpired coupon that this very Sarpino's location mailed to our house in the past 90 days. While I understand that ownership and policies may change the overly aggressive manner in which your "manager" approached the situation was upsetting and completely uncalled for. My partner and I have been loyal patrons of this location since they opened their doors and in a single interaction you have lost our business forever. To the new ownership: Please take a refresher course on what it means to own and participate in a franchise, what legal obligations are owed when purchasing an existing business, Minnesota's False Statement in Advertising Act, the FTC's lengthy regulations and recommendations regarding advertisements (e.g. coupons), and general business liability in regards to what your employees say and do when representing your business in an official capacity in a one-party consent state. Please also take some time to learn more about advertising liability and why most coupons have disclaimer verbiage and an expiration date- I promise it will save you future headaches, heartaches, and money. Most importantly, for the love of all that is pizza, do your self a favor and please show that offensively impolite pillock of a "manager" the door before they upset more customers and lose more of your business. I will be filing a detailed formal complaint with our state's Attorney General and the FTC to ensure that this incident is on record as well as reaching out to Sarpino's corporate offices to report the deceptive and illegal advertisement practices of one of their franchisees. Sarpinos in Richfield is one of the better if not the best location in MN. Their delivery is always fast and free and not to mention that they are open late. The owner of this location understands the business and does not fail. I have had many issues with another location and I am glad that it is not a company wide problem. The pizza is fantastic, sauce is tangy and cheese is a perfect blend. Salads are only one size, its not a crazy loaded salad with tons of toppings however this is a large salad with ALWAYS fresh never has bad or going bad veggies. Their pasta is different then anywhere else and has a taste that you might not expect. With that said, its one that I love, there is a certain green pepper taste to their meat sauce. I then called back to get names of the owner and was told his name was Jamal asked the cook for his name and it was also Jamal and the driver was Tony. No last names given but he was very very rude. It wasn't until I told him I would write this complaint is when he claimed to be trying to help. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone and if this location plans stay in business you need to improve on customer service skills. Zach - I wasn't truculent until you told me it wasn't your problem!!! I was a paying customer and it should never be your policy to leave your customers food in the lobby of a hotel! Not happy after my latest delivery from here. Everything, except the pretty quick delivery time, was bad. First off, my pizza was supposed to include tzatziki sauce, and, well, it didn't. Also, the crust was raw in a few spots, which is totally gross. On top of that, the pizza, overall, was just lacking in flavor. Some of that was my fault. I'm always found wanting when I order pizzas with an olive oil bass instead of red sauce. The final and totally unacceptable kicker was the pizza was not sitting well inside me. I just ralphed. I don't know if this will be my last order, but I seriously should have considered something else--especially since it wasn't late, and I could have ordered from any number of other establishments. By far the worst food ordering experience that I have ever had. Let me break this down for you: I placed an order for the "Xtra Large Special" consisting of a pizza pie, order of wings and dipping sauce through grub hub, a popular food ordering phone application. The price was fantastic, all that for just $20.99. Amazing! I placed the order immediately and left soon after for pickup! Upon arriving my boyfriend and I were greeted rudely by a woman behind the counter. I complimented her nails and she ignored me, frantically peering at the computer. She looks up, scowls at us and demands to know how we placed an order for pizza AND wings for only $20. We kindly tell her we made use of their online ordering service and actually prepaid as well! She refuses to give us our food and calls over a delivery driver to reaffirm her confusion. I even opened up Grub Hub, showed them the menu and suggested they add additional prices for their toppings which, at the moment, are all free so place an order soon. For the next 15 minutes we stood and watched her frustration as she can't get her computer to reach the price GrubHub had made she's shouting at us like we're Steve Jobs. Know how you make money? Keeping customers. If she would have understood that the customers are what make a business successful, not a POS system maybe they would have had two more happy customers. I had to call 15 minutes later, and Alex then got Tony on the phone who was rude and argumentative and couldn't describe where he had left the food. Alex claims they are remaking the order and another driver will deliver and call if there are issues. Instead they've closed the order in the app and no communication after an hour and a half. We picked your menu up in the lobby of the Hampton Inn & Suites on Metro in Bloomington by the airport believing the Hampton would only allow reputable/reliable businesses to advertise their offerings there. It is a good thing that we were going to pay cash to the delivery driver, because this would be vastly different feedback had we paid in advance by card for our delivered food order. We placed our order at 6:22 p.m. and we were told 45 minutes. At 7:32 p.m. our food had still not arrived. We called and were told the driver was almost to our location. At 8:00 p.m. I went down to Hotel Lobby and bought Hot Pockets, Potato Chips, and Candy Bars for dinner. Delivery never arrived and we never received a phone call explaining why.
