Calzones are delicious give one a try! I like they also offer vegetarian proteins like plant based pepperoni & sausage toppings. The large calzone is definitely big enough for a hungry appetite. Get some extra sauce too that is tasty as well. Many places don't let you customise your calzone but you get to make it exactly the way you want it since they are not premade like some places. They are fresh and hot and yummy! The pizza crust is very good too never burnt on the top or bottom from our experience. Give it a try!! read more

Painfully average pizza and below-average salads. I ordered a Santorini Pizza and a Greek salad for dinner. My Greek salad lacked flavor, which was surprising given the amount of ingredients in it. The dressing was also not what I expected. I was anticipating something like a Greek vinaigrette, but instead I got little more than olive oil and vinegar, which did nothing but weigh down the ingredients. Also, there were entirely too many olives, which is really saying something because, I happen to love olives. The Santorini pizza was not as amazing as I wwanted it to be. Wow! Kind of surprised by all the negative reviews. Ordered Sarpinos online today and it was easy or at least I thought it was. Apparently I clicked a few of the wrong items. Thankfully they called to verify instead of just making it. I did not want two sauces and was actually charged for one extra. The lady who called to verify was lovely. Told me what to do next time. Maybe the staff has turned over, because the service was wonderful. They didn't have the BLT option so I had to create my own. Ordered the Super Taco Pizza - both were quite good. Even better with the buy one DMC card. I don't have to cook for the rest of the week. Nice online ordering option and status updates. read more

When the Oder finally arrived 35 minutes late, the cheese in my calzone was not only cold but it had never melted. It was as if they just put shredded cheese and never put it in the oven. I used to eat here regularly, but lately the service has gone way down hill. The last straw was when i placed and order, I had used a coupon they had sent me in the mail earlier that week for a free pizza. Upon arriving at the restaurant, the manager told me that, despite meeting all the requirements of the coupon they gave me, they would not honor it because they didn't make enough money off of me, so it wasn't worth their time. The pizza was already made and sitting behind him, but the manager still demanded an extra $15 from what I was originally told to get my order. I pointed out that I had the coupon and the coupon didn't have any requirements, and he told me it's not his problem. Once home, I called to complain and speak to the owner, and the same man refused to give me the contact info for the store owner, again telling me "it's not his fucking problem". Called trying to order a pizza for delivery. We had received a mail flyer & their pizza looked real good. So I called. Person picked up phone by just saying "hello". I was like "is this..." He corrected himself & said "thanks for calling Sarpino's". Then as I was trying to give my order I noticed that his tone was unaccommodating, like he had better things to do than to take my order. I used to love their pizza but they may be getting too popular. They are rude as heck when busy. Also..they don't seem to be able to cook their crusts. When you ask for non doughy fully cooked crusts they say the bake time is the bake time and they won't addextra minutes in oven. More apt to be raw on busy weekends. They also don't seem to take time to fully cut the pizzas when too busy as well. So when you try to pull away first raw limp doughy slice the entire chees topping comes off on one big slimy slab. I am addicted to Sarpino's pizza. I was so used to them back in Illinois that I started missing them after moving to St.Paul. One day after work, I went to get my mails from the mailbox and voila...sarpino's pizza ad in it. I went back to my apartment and called Sarpino's to order my large pizza for $9.99 and had it delivered in less than an hour. The same great taste I was used to back in Illinois. I always enjoy Sarpino's. I will order here before I consider Pizza Hut or Papa John's, and least of all Domino's. I like to call to place an order, because all those coupons you receive in that mailer they always send out, well I haven't been able to use them online so I just call and get my specials that way. We usually get it delivered (who doesn't love FREE delivery?) but we picked it up on Wednesday night and it was so delicious! I got a Free Medium one topper (Pepperoni, regular crust) with purchase of a Large Specialty (Bacon Cheeseburger, regular crust) The sauce is sweet and seasoned just right with enough Italian seasoning to make it good - not bland or overpowering. The crust is in between thick and thin so it's just perfect and chewy just the way I like it. I love how they always include their house Jalapeño Ranch with each pizza. Prices are so reasonable. Location is ideal being right on 35W and County Rd. D so it's a quick trip for us from home. Well done Sarpino's! Thanks for giving us more Pizza options here besides the usual chains. read more

Needed to order a late night calzone on a weeknight. Not many options, but Sarpino's definitely and literally delivered. Ordered a buff chicken ranch 'zone via Grubhub right through the Yelp app. Process was super easy. Paid via Apple Pay. Had to call Sarpino's and clarify the address (my fault), but they had the order good to go and added my updates. The calzone even showed up 30 minutes sooner than the estimated delivery time. Sarpino's is a solid choice for lunch delivery. Their menu is varied, so if you don't feel like pizza, you can have a salad, sandwich, calzone (HUGE!), or baked pasta. I'm partial to the baked spaghetti with meat sauce, and the chicken pesto calzone. The online ordering system is really user-friendly, and will allow you to customize the food, add toppings, etc. Bonus: you get 10% off for putting in your order over the good ol' Interwebs. The only drawback is that they can be a little slow. They usually take at least 45 minutes to an hour to get the order to my workplace in Northeast Minneapolis. But with no delivery charge, and a variety of choices, they beat the pants off of the standard pizza chains. read more

Yes, it took just over an hour for my pizza to get to me at lunch time. Yes, I'd order again in a heartbeat. The ingredients are fresh, the cheese is plentiful but manages to not be greasy. The sauce actually has FLAVOR! Why can't other places do that? The crust is great -- not flat, not thick, really nice. I found a coupon for a 1-topping large pizza for $9.99, and just for ordering online I saved 10%. They have no delivery minimum and they don't charge for delivery, which is essentially unheard of. Edit New Review (02/2014): What happened to this place? Used to deliver in 30 mins lately over an hour! Today was 2 hours!!! Then the driver tells me I should expect a 2 hour wait on a snow day, maybe you shouldn't have quoted me 30-45 minutes! Hard pressed to ever get the order right these days. I hadn't ordered in a while because I was hoping things would get better, but to no avail. It's really too bad but clearly they don't care enough to change their ways. Old review: Love Sarpino's! For a quick, pretty good pizza, I like Sarpino's over Pizza Hut or Domino's. They have a large variety of pizza as well as all kinds of pasta dishes. And, of course, it can all be delivered when you are feeling too lazy to cook or go out. That happens to me once and awhile, so having a good pizza delivered is a treat. I've had their New York Deli and the Classico Italiano and found both to be tasty, yummy pizzas. read more

We just ordered delivery and oh my goodness, so delicious. That taco pizza is to die for. The romaine and tomatoes on top were so fresh and vibrant! And the jalapeño ranch is super good. Also got chicken Alfredo, and let me tell you, that thing was LOADED. Tomatoes, bacon, green peppers, cheese. Oh my goodness. The peppers weren't even mushy, slightly crisp. So yummy. And it comes with an 8" cheesy bread, so even better. Awesome value, delicious food, text alerts to let you know the pizza progress, and a friendly delivery driver. :) oh, and they're open until 1 and on weekends, till 3. AM that is. :) Free delivery. We were in town for a hockey tournament in Blaine. We stayed in a hotel near the rink and wanted to order delivery pizza for dinner after a very late game. After we randomly picked Sarpino's.Once the order was placed, we waited for the pizza and cheese bread, and hoped we had made a good choice. The pizza came sooner than promised and was better then we could have imagined. Everything was great. The crust, the sauce, the amount of cheese and meat. The sausage had just the right spice. Needless to say we now have a favorite pizza place when we're in this area again. Please open a location south of the MN river. Thank you for a great dinner. The food isn't bad, but the service is lacking. It has happened to me two times now where I have been told I would be getting free food, and the delivery shows up with everything but that. The worst part is that when you report it to the store, they don't seem to care. Tonight, I ordered, and wrote in the "additional information" box on the online order form that I had a postcard that said I was going to receive a free order of cheesy bread with my next order. Being that this WAS my next order, I expected to receive it. There was no expiration date or code on the postcard, and I mistakenly figured telling them about it would be enough. The driver shows up without the free stuff, but has a receipt that clearly shows what I wrote on it. He apologizes for the order being screwed up and said he would be back with the bread sticks. I didn't hold my breath, but I was hopeful he meant what he said. To no one's surprise, he never came back. I even sent an email to the store about this, and they apparently have a policy of not acknowledging things like this, because I got the same result the last time it happened. read more

I have heard about Sarpino's and seen many of their inserts in newspapers, in my mailbox, etc., and was never really interested in trying it. However, in the middle of a rainstorm at 1:00 AM and being the only pizza place open for delivery (fun fact, they deliver until 3:00 AM) I took a chance. It was a great decision, they have a wide variety of options and their ingredients are fresh. I ordered the Alfredo Pomodoro Pizza and the tomatoes were so fresh, and delicious. Which is why there is no photo- sorry! Additionally, the pizza was made and delivered faster than to be expected. So fast in fact, we didn't realize it had arrived until the dogs woke the neighborhood, due to the driver using the door bell at this odd hour. I ordered a side of jalapeño ranch, and was disappointed to see that it was not in the box, as that is what I had heard was a must try! I called the driver as he was pulling off and let him know it was not there, he immediately offered to head back to the store and run us back some. This was extremely nice, especially considering the weather. My only complaint is that they could better inform their drivers of comments left by the customer. We take time to leave comments for a reason, so as to not put the driver in any compromising positions. Other than that, highly recommend and will probably order again! read more

I called about forty minutes before they close and was told they weren't taking anymore delivery orders. This has happened several other times. I work second shift so it's nice to have a delivery place open as late as they are. Needless to say I was upset. So I called again about fifteen minutes later spoke to someone else who took my order. I had heard great things about Sarpino's, but my first experience with them will be my last. I placed an online order for carry-out as I was doing some shopping in the area. I drove all the way home, only to realize that I had been given the wrong order - one that was priced significantly lower than the items I had ordered. I called the store, and they seemed unable to determine what had gone wrong, but asked me to return the food and said that my correct order was still sitting there. After arriving back at the store, I expected some sort of attempt on the store's behalf to make things right as that is what I have experienced at other pizza restaurants. All I got was a "sorry for the mix-up...what can we say... it's a hot day." I was thinking that I'd at the very least get a discount on a future visit or a voucher for a free appetizer.
