Food was meh. Crab Cakes were over $20 and supposed to be on a bed of lettuce. I was expecting a nice sized plate of food. What I received was about $10 worthy. The service was terrible. We didn't see our server for the last hour of our meal and had to ask another server for our check. What happened to you Sasha's? Going to Sasha's on Shaw used to be a thing that would cheer one up. It could've just been an off day for them but, altogether, dark/dank on a Saturday afternoon, a menu in serious need of an update (pretty sure it hadn't changed since I came in last 3+ years ago) but the cherry on top of the sundae was the 20-year-old-dip who greeted us, sat us, and then ignored us. When she finally came over to flatly ask "do you want something to drink?" we'd already ordered our Lyft out of there. Bummer; this place used to be a treat. I'd try the one on Demun. read more

Nice place for a ladies night out. Food portions are very small, but that's good so you don't feel bloated while drinking. They have a good variety of wines (Starting at $32 per bottle) and a creative cocktail list. The patio is very cozy and perfect for enjoying some wines by the fireplace. Came here for evening dinner on Sunday last week. Strange welcoming as no hostess was at front to greet you. Asked for patio when there was 2 open tables available but said it would be 1 hour wait. So we stay inside. Food apps and wine was surprisingly good. Was not impressed with salmon crepe as it was served without creme fraiche, when I asked waitress, she said "oh we don't have it we ran out". So why would you serve this dish then? It was so dry without the fraiche and they should have not sold it. Service got real slow after we ordered with less check in on our table. I would only come back for wine and apps. Met some co-workers here for lunch. First time at Sasha's. I had the Brie BLT and a sangria. The sandwich was recommended by the server and just ok, don't expect an ample amount of bacon and the tater tots were not the normal ones. These had a soft weird texture in the middle. The white sangria, I wouldn't order it again. My co-worker had the red sangria and liked it. Maybe that one is better. My bill was almost $30. Definitely not worth it. Came here for the first time tonight and loved the Christmas decorations in the restaurant and the toasty-looking firepit outside. Unfortunately, my friends and I were frustrated with the lack of service... A few of us got there about 10 minutes after our other friends had already arrived. The waitress didn't come over for about 20 minutes, so when we happened to see her walk nearby we finally got her attention because we wanted to order food. When she finally did come over, she was annoyed that we wanted order at all. Um, sorry, next time I won't order when I come here....??? She basically stood in front of the computer at the bar the whole night. I ordered the prosciutto sandwich ($10) and my husband ordered the roast beef brisket sandwich ($11), and our friends ordered pizza, Greek salad, and a few other plates. The food presentation was well-done, especially the pizza which came out on a stone platter. The sandwiches were smaller than I expected but I did like the prosciutto a lot in my sandwich; it was well flavored. My husband's beef brisket sandwich had tender meat but was flavorless even when I dipped it in the bland sauce that came with it. I ended up eating the brisket sandwich with the mustard sauce that came with the prosciutto sandwich to give it some flavor. After we finished eating, we waited for a long time hoping the waitress would stop by to give us our bills, but she never did. We finally got up and walked to the bar to ask her for the bill. The restaurant was still quite empty with only 4-5 tables so I'm not sure why service was so MIA tonight. After asking for the bill, we had to send another friend to walk up to the bar to personally retrieve the receipts and credit cards. My friends and I had a good time eating dinner together at Sasha's with each other's company, but we all agreed that we will not be coming back here for the poor service. read more

What a romantic and beautiful spot. Big glass windows just like a corner bar should have. Inside dark and rustic, a perfect place for a glass of Vino. Nice selection of music playing, perfect temperature and great service. They have a nice selection of appetizers and small bites and a very nice wine selection for which we chose a nice rose. The reviews that I quickly flipped through before entering did not mention brunch. So when I was offered a brunch menu I was delightfully surprised. The boyfriend has wanted to go to a crepe place forever and we have tried getting into Rooster three times. Alas, we have found our new brunch spot and he has several more crepes to try before he gets bored! :) I had the Eggs New Orleans and was in heaven. I am not well versed on crabcakes but whoever had the idea to put eggs benedict on top of them is genius. My mouth was delighted by so many different flavors I couldn't stop eating! I don't think we conversed much at all after we got our food! Loved the atmosphere, very eclectic and the music was catchy without being poppy, yet it wasn't background music, it was worth listening too. We ordered a salmon plate and the world cheese plate (with five cheese). The Norwegian peanut butter goat cheese was crazy, and good. Definitely a highlight. The salmon was okay, but leaning towards drier than I typically prefer. There was barely any dairy spread (I think yogurt?) on the plate. The amount of capers and onion bits was weirdly misproportioned compared to the salmon too. The cheeses were all good. The server was nice to help us accommodate a desire for less carbs by offering additional apple slices. The patio was nice because of the weather and water sounds, but it is in rough repair. At night, obscured by darkness, I bet it's quite nice. Overall, we'd probably go back if we were nearby and craving a cheese plate. But, otherwise, we'd likely opt for a different place. read more

I love Sasha's! I've been here a few times and I just love the atmosphere! So chill and relaxed. A great place to have a few glasses of wine and talk and catch up with friends. This is my FAVORITE place in STL so far for wine outings. I only been to a few but this place really impresses me with wide selection, good prices, great service and an amazing vibe! Had a reservation for a party of 12 last night for my friend's birthday. I usually love this place, but the food took a ridiculous amount of time for several of us, leaving half of us without food while the other half of our table had already finished their meals. Not a -huge- deal. However, it was the service that ruined the night for us. Our waitress was incredibly short with us, rude, and overall insensitive. She made my friend (the birthday girl) cry because of her behavior! She even demanded that we tip her 20% after attempting to overcharge our table by almost $300. I hope Sasha's is able to identify and resolve this issue in the future (as they do have a lovely establishment) but apparently their wait staff could use a refresher on a thing or two. read more

For the last week me and my friends have gone in 3 times and have yet to have any type of good service. We are all in the service industry and this might be the worst in all of St. Louis. We were never greeted any time we went in. We had to call people over to serve us. The bartenders were talking bad about tables all around us. The people next to us were never served and left. We didn't get our food for over 45 mins. The flatbread was cold by the time we got it. We went back to try again and it was worse. The server walked away while taking my order and told me to yell it across the bar. Ive been in service for more than 10 years and have never been so disappointed in an establishment. read more

Date One Do-Over. As my first time at Sasha's, I can truthfully say, one of the best experiences I've had living in Saint Louis the last three years. Sitting outside on a lovely summer evening when it was warm but not hot, was perfect. I had a moscato (or five!), my date and split the bruschetta, Devonshire plate and a banana Nutella crepe. The food was wonderful. All of it. The bruschetta was fresh, tasty and light, with extra crostini! The cheese selection and sausages were good, although we both liked the pepper better than the other one. The crepe, was just like ones I've had in Paris next to the Eiffel Tower. We were not rushed to leave and the service was great. I can't remember our servers name but she was kind enough to get my date a few extra cherries for his Old Fashioned which he said was "perfect." read more

Etiquette sure has changed. We didn't get to taste test the wine after the waiter opened the bottle. This has happened 3 times at the Shaw location and all 3 different servers. I guess the chance of getting a bad bottle is rare but I appreciate the wine etiquette, especially at a wine bar. The first time this happened I asked the guy and he looked at me like I was crazy. Did the wine tasting rules go away? We still enjoy getting a cheese plate and a bottle at Sashas on Shaw but we know what to expect. Just go in knowing you may be forgotten, order everything at once including condiments and don't expect to always get a wine tasting with your bottle. I'll just blame this service on Covid but please educate your staff on wine etiquette. read more

Really disappointing :( visited my friend from Indianapolis and she was really excited to show me this place. We sat at the bar and someone grabbed us waters. We were then never talked to again and we saw many people behind the bar, but none of them was the woman who grabbed us waters and when she returned she ignored us. We finally asked someone if we could give them our drink order. She promptly made our drinks and returned to take our food order. We waited 40 minutes for our artichoke and spinach dip appetizer and reached out to a DIFFERENT woman (because we never saw the woman who took our drink and food order) if she could check on our app. She said they were just warming it up and was very nice about it. We then waited approx another 30 minutes for our food. A grilled cheese and veggie flatbread. Another server (still different) came up to us and made conversation with us and was friendly, but we never saw the server who took our order ever again... ended up having to ask a completely different server for the check and a box. I ended up asking the host if there are sections assigned or if they share the whole restaurant. She told me anyone takes the bar, but they do have sections. IN SHORT: I really don't know what happened here, but Sasha's really dropped the ball :( would really love to give them another chance, but if I have one piece of advice do NOT sit at the bar. read more

I ran into Sasha's on the way home from a babysitting gig in Shaw and immediately got excited. The strung up lights and ambiance that Sasha's puts out on a daily basis was worth taking a second look at. I quickly typed it into my notes and told myself I would 100% visit. And I did just that. I ended up going to Sasha's several times over the last few months of my living in St. Louis and I only wish I had discovered it sooner. My dear friend Ryan Chollet often performs here and it's always a treat to here him sing. The staff is kind and there was an instance where my mom was so excited for her chocolate crepe that she got up and started dancing and the bartender joined her. It was hilarious. The food is good and the beer is strong. Not really sure what else you could want out of a place. Thursdays have good deals and good music so stop on by! read more
