I'm not a Fan of Sasha's. It's very loud and cramped. For what is supposed to be a "Romantic Spot" it feels more like a Friday's. The waitress was a total B. She never bothered to tell me the Gratuity was included. I don't like the fact that even though I TOLD HER at the beginning I would pay in cash, she still INSISTED on taking my credit card. She actually said; "When I ring you out, just remind me NOT to charge your card." It's the job of a Waitress to remember, not the customer! When I asked her about NOT telling me the gratuity being included, she got Mouthy! The food was decent at least. I had the Brisket sandwich with potato salad. However it wasn't remarkable, particularly considering the rude service. The place is incredibly loud. So much so that I had to shout to be heard. Several other people in our party made the same remark. It was like eating in a Barn. There are many FAR better Wine bars in St. Louis which have better atmosphere, service and food. Check out Robust, and Sanctuaria in particular. Unless Sasha's is a block away from your door, I'd avoid it. read more

This place is just okay. The service has attitude we had a larger party and were frequently with empty glasses. When someone flagged down our server, we felt as if we were inconveniencing her. We had food, again- just okay, and got the check as fast as possible so we could go somewhere with better service. Probably nice for a date or small group, but 5 or more... watch out! read more

sat at bar Wednesday for dinner, because assured by staff I did not need reservations at 6:30 for a table. NOT TRUE. Luckily for them they were busy. Waiter at bar did NOT smile, did NOT welcome us,only handed us a menu and took a drink order. One of us had to ask for water and refills even though sitting right at the bar. After waiter Took order, never checked HOW our order tasted, and put in trout crepe instead of smoked trout appetizer DId not apologize for his error or the extra wait time it took to recieve. Gave us our bills without recognition and or eye contact but finally said thank you at the end. Very Poor service. Will not go back again. read more

Great experience. Arrived for my first visit on a cold Tuesday December evening around 8pm. Myself & my friend were one of four tables in the place. I was welcomed & sat quickly in a warm spot by the heater (which I appreciated). The bartender immediately asked me what I'd prefer to drink, allowed me a sip to ensure the taste first prior to purchasing an entire glass. I was pleased with his suggestion. My friend & I ordered promptly after the chef personally suggested what he thought we'd enjoy. I ordered the scallop pasta with mushrooms and he had the mussels. The kitchen sent out two crust-inis with a mousse & chives as a complementary treat before our main course was ready. They were great! My dish arrived & I was very pleased. Overall, everything was really great & I will return again. I recommend you & your friends/family enjoy this neat, welcoming, vintage inspired spot too. Cheers & enjoy! read more

Mixed reaction. Busy, nice atmosphere. Pizza and hummus were very good. Service OK but somewhat off-handed. Lamb chops were terrible and brisket sandwich merely mediocre. Good for a first date or meeting a friend. Then have a glass of wine and tasty morsel, but not a meal. In that sense, I understand the rave reviews and I do acknowledge that Sasha's is considered a wine bar +. I just had a different impression before trying it, thinking it would be more of a bistro. read more

I am happy to report that Sasha's in DeMun has made major customer service improvements! As a local in the DeMun neighborhood, I was often left disappointed after patronizing this establishment. I was either ignored, spoken to rudely or forgotten about completely. No one there seemed to care, and that was apparent. It was as if, because of their location, they didn't need to have good service. At one point, I vowed to never go back, but convenience got the best of me. I am glad to say that I recently had a COMPLETELY different experience. The bartender was very friendly, efficient and even seemed genuinely happy to be there! I felt comfortable enough to tell her about my past experiences at Sasha's and she assured me that they were aware of these mistakes and were making the necessary changes. She then spoke to the manager and he even addressed my concerns. There were some new faces behind the bar and although they were busy, they were all very pleasant and attentive. Thank you so much ! I will be spreading the word that it's safe to go back to our super cool neighborhood hotspot!!!! read more

Oh my goodness, Sasha's is the best kept secret!! I went there over Cinco de Mayo and our server, Damien was very attentive and his festive experimental beverages were fun and hit the spot! The ambiance of Sasha's is classy and sexy while still being young and hip. This place is definitely a must go-to for service and atmosphere. read more

A great, easy place to grab Sunday brunch. We went around 11 Sunday morning for a bite to eat and were pleased to find that it wasn't packed yet. We grabbed a table by the window and were promptly greeted. Great food and drinks. My boyfriend had the eggs benedict and I had the french toast. Both were great! We'll be back. Especially when it warms up so we can enjoy the patio outside. read more

I used to really like this place. The brie crepe is fantastic. But, I used to go all the time and the place ALWAYS SMELLED LIKE SOMETHING WAS BURNING in their poorly ventilated kichen, which is basically in the middle of the dining area seperated by a partition. I went again tonight and sure enough, years later the place still smells burnt and awful. Also, the service HORRIBLE. A server came over as soon as we sat down and asked for our order. We must have interrupted her dinner because she was still chewing. We hadn't seen the menu yet., so asked her to give us a moment to decide. She left and NEVER came back. We kept our eye on the bar to get her attention, but she never even glanced over. 30 minutes later, while we were still obviously sitting there at the table right next to the entrance end of the bar, the server leaves the bar (walks right past us) and goes out for a smoke. Every other employee went with her. For 10 minutes there was not a single employee in the entire place. When they came back in, they walked right past our table again, not even glancing down to notice there were still no drinks, not even water. We finally decided we'd rather leave than spend our money here. Go to Basso instead; that place is awesome. read more

Great neighborhood wine bar... love the "around the world" cheeseplate and the extensive wine selection!

DJ and crew provided awesome service on Sunday! My husband and I are regulars but came to Sunday brunch with 12 family members. We were very quickly seated - orders taken - this brunch is amazing one choice after the other. Everyone enjoyed and the newcomers thought Sasha's very charming, very European and are coming back!
