So, with limited options in Tillamook, we avoided the Creamery cafe and decided on soup due to cold rain. I always worry about Thai places that have all of Asia represented. As other reviews are saying, the place is a really generic sorta diner, but the food is dope and the servers are nice. Ordered the pad see-ew, real good stuff. Good price and good portion. One worker was talking on her phone for a few minutes while we were eating, which was a little annoying, but no harm done. read more

What an amazing treat to find this family run authentic Thai restaurant. Stopped in for lunch and had a great welcome from Ning at the register, the chef's daughter. Her smile brought me back to my three years living in the "land of smiles" as Thailand is known to travelers from around the world. I looked at the chalk board menu carefully and found a huge selections of authentic soups, curries, salads, rice and noodle dishes. The kitchen staff and the front staff were all speaking Thai among themselves with the lovely sound of light laughter coming from the cheerful cooks working behind the draped entrance to the kitchen. The place was simple but comfortably appointed with a couple two tops, a four top, and a six top table comprising the eat in layout. Also an eating bar for singletons. Small, but cozy and comfortable. Having lived in Thailand a few years, many of the dishes on the menu were familiar to me. My "go to" to evaluate a new Thai restaurant find is Green Papaya salad which was not on the board. I asked the counter staff if they had it available and while it was not on the board they immediately agreed to make it for me. It's not an easy dish to make, but it was authentic and exquisite. I also ordered a Pad Thai with chicken, just to see what the most popular American Thai menu dish tasted like. Both dishes were fantastic. This was like a trip back to Thailand without the airfare. I have read other reviews that give a grudging "Not bad" or "good for Tillamook" review. I will tell you honestly the two dishes I ate were as good as any Thai food I ate in Thailand. My Portland favorite Thai restaurant is PaaDee at 28th and East Burnside... an award winning Portland venue. This Sassy Express Thai food was also at that standard of excellence. Nothing fancy with the food served on good paper plates supported by a dinnerplate underneath to provide support to your paper plate, but the wooden chopsticks I ate with were perfect and these folks so sweet I bet they'd give instructions on how to use them if that were helpful to you. I have only eaten at this place a single time, today! But I am confident you may now call me a regular. When you leave be sure to say "Ka Pun Krap" (pronounced "Kap") as a male or "Ka Pun Kaa" as a female. It means thank you in Thai and I know you'll hear a "Ka Pun Kaa" back from the female staff. It was only on my leaving that I noticed one of today's specials offered was Local Crab fried rice for $17. The other menu items with a protein seem to range between $14-16. I hope they still have the Dundeness crab fried rice on the menu tomorrow as I am sorry I missed that option today. This place is real deal and I Love it! read more

This place is my favorite restaurant in town. And their Thai food is better than food I've had from many other Thai restaurants. The owner is really sweet and kind. The entire staff is awesome- fast making the food, nice ambiance. You can't go wrong on what you order. From what friends and family and coworkers and I have ordered, everything thus far is on point. I often get the Massamun or Pineapple curries or Tom kha soup. Their fresh Spring rolls and the homemade sauce they provide are fantastic. read more

On our way to Pacific City, we stopped by for takeout. I was a little hesitant about Thai in a small oregon city, but fear not... Sassy Thai is legit, delicious, authentic Thai food. We have nut allergies and the woman at the counter was careful to ensure there were no peanuts and no peanut sauce. Very kind family who owns and works the place. We had Pad kee mow Pad see ew Fried rice Massamum curry Fried tofu Everything was delish. Only drawback is the crab fried rice is not on the online menu, just on a blackboard. Food was great, service was awesome! I hope to visit again if I am in Tillamook! The massaman curry was perfect. The drunken noodles were the best I've ever had. Also loved the spicy basil fried rice. My daughters got the yakisoba noodles and thai fried rice, they loved and finished it all before the night was through. Wish i had taken pictures to post. Don't let the appearance fool you. It doesn't look like much, but the food and service is outstanding. I had the crispy chicken special, which was very flavorful and saucy. Definitely will go back next time I am in Tillamook. read more

Tucked in a strip mall next to a smoke shop I had low expectations and I was very pleasantly surprised. The food was good, staff was both friendly and knowledgable. They offer vegan, vegetarian and meat dishes. The phad Thai had fresh cabbage, carrots, green onions and a nice mildly tamerind flavored sauce. If you're looking for curry in Tillamook, this is the place. Good prices and the food is amazing. There are multiple signs saying they won't remake the food for you if you order too spicy, don't take it as a joke the spicy is ACTUALLY insane. Not a whole lot of seating and I'm sure the place isn't the cleanest in the back, but damn the food is great. read more

Walking into this restaurant smelled amazing! The garlic pepper chicken, spicy basil chicken stir fry and pad se ew were great! We finished each of them and would definitely eat them again! The basil stir fry was the most interesting and i've never had anything like it! Yakisoba noodles. That is all you need to know. I think all businesses in the area need to offer this dish as incentive to move here and work. I think I'd take it... it's that good.
