Food and service are excellent. Very reasonable prices. We love their Tom Kha Soup. Be aware of the spice levels however. It's not fancy but clean and comfortable. Love the people there. My boyfriend and I were looking in the Tillamook area for some Thai food and coming from Seattle, we've definitely have had our share of good Thai food ;). We were a little cautious coming into the restaurant however the friendly customer service and great food quickly made us fans! I had the Pad Thai, while my boyfriend had the Yakisoba. They were different than what we've tried before but still pretty good. PROS: Good food, can be spicy (for asian level hah!), good portions for price, customer service (although this was during the off-season) CONS: Nothing really other than the sewage stench that roams outside of the entrance area.. This place was underwhelming to say the least. I was staying in Neskowin, not that many options. I did some research on Yelp and gave it a go. The food was mediocre at best. My asparagus and prawns had three prawns, twenty asparagus ends and was sitting in a pool of liquid and butter. There was a clothing rack sitting to the right of my table with a bunch of used shoes in it. I will not return to this restaurant. read more

Really excellent Thai food!! Stopped here on a whim while road tripping, but wow, what a gem of a place! Great selection- and everything except the pho and maybe one other dish can be made vegan. Had the Pra Ram with tofu. The tofu was marinated and crispy. I wish I knew how to cook tofu so well!! My partner had the Pad Thai with veggies. I got to have a bite and it was the best Pad Thai I've had in years. Really excellent Thai iced tea made vegan too. I'll stop here again next time I'm going up the Oregon coast. read more

I was completely wowed by Sassy Thai! I live in NYC, and have Thai food on a consistent basis, and Sassy ranked up there with the best I've had. We learned the restaurant is under new management and has a new chef, who is really creative. I recommend you try the fresh, regional specials such as locally sourced crab-fried rice. Very good food and creative take on classic Thai. I've eaten at many Thai places in North American (including SF, Toronto, NYC...), and this stands out. That it's in a strip mall is both surprising and fun. The chef and management are super nice. You can tell that much of the food is well-grown/well-sourced, particularly the seafood. I come through Tillamook at least once per year and I've added Sassy to my 'return to' list. read more

I was surprisingly pleased with this little thai restaurant. I'm vegan and it is not easy to find places to eat in this town - but they have tofu and options without meat. I didn't ask if there was fish sauce but they seemed very accommodating. Highly recommend. I had the red curry with tofu - it was flavorful and not overly sugary like some thai restaurants. They serve their meals on paper plates with plastic ware but don't let that underestimate the food. read more

We love SASSY! They used to be located in Milwaukie. We miss them so much because when we get lazy to cook or go anywhere to get food, SASSY delivers. My personal favorite is the Spicy Beef, and my husband and I both go crazy with their creme brulee. Everything from their menu are delicious and they are affordable. Highly recommended. Stopped here after the Tillamook Creamery. It was worth it. It's not fancy or anything. You're eating off of paper plates and using plastic utensils, but the food is tasty. Had the Pad Kee Mao and Basil Fried Rice. Both plates were full of flavor and the staff was friendly. The restaurant is very small, but clean, quick, and delicious. read more

We tried this place when moving to town a few years ago and it was only okay. We never went back until a few months ago. To our great surprise, the food is now amazing! The pad Thai is just as good as our favorite restaurant in the city. So, if you've tried it before and were less than impressed, give it another shot. We are so glad we did. read more

Freshly made delicious food served with smiling eyes! As out of town visitors, we hunted for a restaurant that wasn't based on burgers and fries, Mexican, or a sub sandwich. Healthy choices are hard to find, but we found one! I ordered Pra Ram - steamed veggies, small amount of meat, peanut sauce served with jasmine rice. My husband ordered Pad Se Eve - wide egg noodles with veggies, meat, served with soy sauce. Both were cooked on the spot and very delicious. We highly recommend this place! It's a hidden treasure! Stopped on a Sunday evening in September and happy to find this place open. Shared a large bowl of clam chowder that was piping hot. Creamy and balanced and not over-salted. Had the delicious mango beef curry special. Also piping hot with great flavor balance of coconut and heat. The vegetables were tender-crisp and the perfect bite size. Plenty of food and I had to restrain myself from eating it all. The owner was friendly and fun to visit with. Will definitely visit again. read more

We were quite pleased to find Sassy Express, especially given that one member of our party of four is vegan, while another cannot tolerate fish sauce (which this restaurant does not use). We found a menu with many vegan options (most of the entrees can be made with a choice of meats, tofu, or just vegetables), and all four of us--we each ordered something different--were very pleased with our selections. The chef uses authentic Thai chilis, and the dishes were delightfully spicy, just right for our tastes. We ended our meal by cooling our palates with some avocado ice cream, which, like the rest of the meal, was delicious. The owners were also the ones providing the service (taking our order and preparing the food), and they were very friendly and efficient. I HIGHLY recommend Sassy Express! read more

AMAZING! I have been eating at Sassy Express for a couple years now. I am trying to work my way thru the entire menu! I keep getting STUCK, because I find something I like so much, that it is hard to order something new! TODAY BLEW MY MIND!!!! A friend came over from the Portland area today, we went to Sassy and had the Fresh Salad Rolls with Shrimp (to split between us) and ordered a bowl of Tom Kha Soup to share! We were so full after the Salad rolls with peanut sauce (they WERE AMAZING) that we could not eat the soup and took it to go. We had it for dinner, splitting one bowl between us.....HEAVEN! Best Tom Kha Soup I have EVER had and I am from Portland, tried it at MANY PLACES!!!! It has always been good, but not like Toy's....which was AMAZING!!!!! Great food, nice people! Some of the better Thai food I've had on the coast. Seems most of their business is take out, but there is seating for a dozen or so people. The only reason I gave it a 2 because I still finished it. But anything lower will be not edible. That's just how bad it is. I went for lunch about a month ago and the food was very authentic and delicious. I had their fresh rolls with shrimp, a Thai tea and one of their specials. The 2 women that were there were very gracious and sweet. I'll definitely be supporting this business. It's wonderful that there is a new restaurant in town that isn't bar food or Mexican food!
