I stopped in for lunch on a Monday and I'm glad I did. This place is great and I would highly recommend it. Their salsa is fresh-made daily and you can tell. Fresh ingredients gave this an excellent flavor. For lunch, I had steak and chicken fajitas (and added some shredded cheese on top, see pic) that were absolutely fantastic. There were generous portions of both chicken and steak and lots and lots of red and green peppers and onions. The quality of the chicken and steak was fantastic. Their menu has a lot of classic Mexican favorites but I noted some very interesting and creative Salvadoran and other Latin dishes. I will come back to try those another day. read more

This is a little gem in a neighborhood shopping center which we discovered using YELP as we passed through the area on a countryside drive. The previous reviews which praised the food and service are confirmed by our experience. The pollo guisado (stewed chicken with carrots and potatoes) was very flavorful and moist and served in a generous portion. It is one of several Salvadorian dishes offered. We also had a shredded chicken enchilada and a crispy beef taco that were very tasty. Our server was a model of friendliness and efficiency and helpful in explaining the unfamiliar to us Salvadorian cuisine. A little on the pricier side (which is expected for this area). Portions are plentiful, food had great flavor, and was presented nicely. 1st round of chips/salsa are complimentary. Lomo saltado: I know potatoes are not the highlight of this dish but I appreciated that the fries were crispy. The steak was slightly chewy but had good flavor. (Savory with a slight sweet taste which I was ok with). Carne Asada Salvadorena. Side salad included: tender, good flavor. My family and I love this place. If your getting an appetizer definitely try the YUCA CON CHICHARRON. It is really amazing. They offer Happy Hour Margaritas Monday-Friday from 4-7 which they have great Margaritas. I've tried several of their entrees and all of them have been incredible. read more

Started with pork pupusas and tamal de elote. Both sooooo yummy! I actually order a few more pupusas to go so I could eat them for lunch the next day. I'm not sure what kind of spices or marinade they had on that steak dish but it was realllly good. The chicken dish was like a stew and the chicken was juicy. Very nice dish. I can't believe I haven't visited Sazon Latina before today! We had the chimichanga and Masitas De Puerco, pork & cheese pupusas, queso, a margarita and a draft beer. Everything was outstanding including the service, the wait staff was very friendly and responsive to all of our requests. I've never had Masitas De Puerco (pork with onions in a tasty sauce) but tried it on a friends recommendation and I am so glad I did, it was outstanding! It was served with plantains, black beans, white rice and a tasty habanero sauce. My margarita was perfect and went well with my dinner. They have a Central America side of the menu and a Tex-Mex side for all tastes. They have happy hour 3-6pm Mon-Sun, with draft beer, cocktail and food specials. The seating area is very spacious, they have tables and booths and a fully stocked bar with 12+ seats. Don't sleep on Sazon Latina, get there and enjoy their amazing food. read more

Everything was good and more than enough to bring half home (and to save room for flan which was great). The service was friendly and attentive without being fussy and the place was absolutely clean. I was very excited to see something open up in the former Pho ha Linh space (finally!) and that it wasn't something like a Halloween store or some jazz. While there was nothing inherently wrong with our experience, there wasn't much that was notable either. I had a strong aversion to the tortilla chips, they had a strong aftertaste that was very unpleasant like there was something missing or included that just had a burnt/chemical taste, and they were very soft and almost chalky on the palate. My shrimp dish was decent; the shrimp were jumbo sized and that was a huge plus - no frozen puny shrimpies here. But, the dish was also 80% onions as well and that sort of canceled some of my excitement based on the price. Otherwise, the entrees were quite alright and has good flavor, but nothing standout that I'd go out of my way to return for. It'll do if I'm in the mood, but probably not be something I seek out. Amazing food and wonderful service! Everyone was so friendly and helpful and they make you feel right at home, which goes perfectly with the delicious food! Our group loved the home style feel of a lot of the dishes. Even the salsa and sauces you can tell are homemade and are so so good. They have a lot of the classic dishes that you'd expect, but they also have more unique dishes that you don't see at a lot of restaurants in our area like lomo saltado and whole red snapper. We went to Saxon Latina on Wednesday for an early dinner. A family owned restaurant with a nice feel about it. The service was excellent. Happy hour was going on so my wife had a Sangria and I had a beer. Very reasonable. The beef tacos were definitely filled with beef. But the Skirt Steak was the best I've had.
