This place was recommended by a friend and I'm really confused about where the excitement is coming from. I'm giving 2 stars, solely for the sweet server we had who was super attentive and kind. Firstly, the prices are outrageous. One of the entrees includes 3 tacos with a meat of your choice, a small side of rice and beans for almost 17$. WHAT? My boyfriend ordered the pollo encebollado for 20$. His plate had a small scoop of rice that tasted equivalent to boil-in-bag rice, a small cup of soupy black beans, and a tiny piece of chicken with some grilled onions on top and a few pieces of lettuce and tomato on the side. $20 for the most mediocre plate of chicken and sad frijoles con arroz I've ever seen. I think the price is a far stretch. They also laminate a little piece of paper placed at each table saying that after 1 refill of chips they will charge you $4. Which for 2 people coming to eat, we can hardly get thru one basket of chips. But imagine coming with a group of friends/family members. Chips go quick. That's nuts. Prob won't ever come back here. The service was really good and the place is super clean tho, so that's a plus! read more

Delicious food. You will not regret. Sweet corn tamale ans Yucca with chicharrón appetizers were delicious. Meat was soft and yucca was perfectly fried and soft in the center. Margarita was good. As close as it is to me, I just had my first meal at Sazón Latina. Restaurant is clean and staff welcoming. Our server was kind and informative. I have been waiting for a place closer to us that sells good Pupusas! Finally I saw a post on Facebook saying that they just opened and they have Pupusas. I had to go the next day and must say I am not disappointed!! Definitely recommend them, the dough isn't too thick like at other places. We saw this place for a few months and were not overly eager to try it out as the sign on the outside looked a little subpar and seemed like it is missing something as there is a frame with no lights under name. After a disappointing experience at another local restaurant on Cinco De Mayo, we decided to give Sazon Latina a try as we have tried every other South American and/or Mexican joint in the area. This place knocked our socks off. As we sat there and enjoyed fresh chips with the queso (beef) dip, fresh salsa, and fresh whipped sour cream; I instantly regretted not coming to this place sooner. After all, they have been open for 5 months now, the opened in January 2022. Once the Chicken, Steak, and shrimp fajitas were served; I instantly knew we had found our new favorite joint to get food from south of the border. The chicken breast was cooked perfectly with char marks. The steak was a good cut and still juicy and tender with lots of flavor and grilled char marks. The shrimp were large, perfectly cooked (most places over cook to the 9th degree), butterflied and fully de-veined. Rice was good, tortillas were quality, and a nice amount of tasty pico de gallo and large scoop of guacamole that came with meal and was not charged extra like everywhere else. Our daughter ordered a soft steak taco with rice and beans from the kids menu. She is typically very picky, she kept talking through the whole meal how much she loved it we even had to order an extra tortilla for her to have a 2nd from left overs from our fajitas. This is incredibly uncharacteristic of my daughter. We knew that if she approved, we could definitely see ourselves eating here much more often. We give it a full 5 stars and would encourage anyone who may be on the fence (like we were) to take a shot, you will not be disappointed. We were so pleased with our meal we even ordered dessert (we never do this). We had a deep fried tortilla with ice cream, whip cream, cherry and caramel over top. My wife and daughter predominantly owned this and talked very highly of the dish. As if our experience was not already good enough, we loved our friendly server and the manager came to our table and talked with us too. He was very friendly, upbeat and kind of funny too. We felt very welcomed and noted that the place was not super busy outside of 4-5 other tables. I know this is only because it is still a bit of a secret. A friend recommended we meet here for lunch and it was delicious. The menu has a wide variety of dishes. I love the lunch burrito bowl. I have been back twice in a week since my initial visit. Hands down my favorite restaurant. Food is amazing. Drinks are great. Staff is so kind and fun. Super clean place and lovely atmosphere. As someone who cannot handle super spicy food, this was great because it was extremely flavorful. The chorizo queso and yucca con chicharron appetizers are amazing. The shrimp is mouthwatering. Chicken and steak were marinated so well. Horchata was chugged in seconds and the alcoholic drinks were cool but not watered down by tons of ice. The staff were patient and answered all of my hard of hearing grandma's questions. Our waitress even remembered me from the last time we went. They personally took the time to explain what was in our appetizers and it was plated beautifully. Modern look with cute little niches and a nice bar. Down to the volume of the music it was great.
