Sbarro has really gone downhill the past few years... my last visit was confirmation. Slice of cheese was not good.

Stop giving out paper plates for pizza. The pizza is so heavy the single paper plate can't hold it. Use common sense instead of being cheap.

Pizza was great, service was quick but unorganized. Though my pizza was good, it tasted slightly old.

I still really enjoy Sbarro in Yorktown Mall, it's been there for over 30 years but still the same quality and price I expect.

The price point was on the high side for us but not out-of-reach. We arrived and was immediately sat in the bar; in fact, everyone is sat in the bar. The dining room has about twenty tables, and they were two tables being used; the bar also had about twenty tables and every table was sat. I asked the waiter and they do sit the bar area first and overflow into the dining room. With the bar area at near capacity and all hard surfaces it was very loud. The dining room had carpet floor and a coffered beamed ceiling it was tremendously quiet. If you want the energy of a crowded restaurant the bar is great, the dinning rom is a more upscale experience.  We started with Calamari Friiti, that is the title of the dish. In smaller print the description is Crispy Fried Calamari, Zucchini,  and herbs. What was served was 70% NOT Calamari but thin fried zucchini strips, fried rosemary (literally the twig of rosemary in batter and fried), and fried thyme (the thyme was removed from the twig so I could not even find it., but the waiter said it was there. At $19  expected more Calamari at least 60%, after all the dish was not called "fried herbs and Calamari". Our table had Spaghetti and Meatballs at $24, the Stuffed Pork Chop special (with Broccoli Rabe) at $27, and I had the Eggplant Parmigiana at $20. I get eggplant Parmesan a lot, it is my favorite Italian dish. $20 is high for eggplant Parmesan, I prefer my eggplant thinly sliced and fried. This is more three eggplant steaks with cheese and red gravy. Not my personal favorite but good. The pasta was so unusual I had to ask about it; the waiter said it is made from scratch in house but the shape in an Italian grocery store would be casarecce. I thought $24 for Spaghetti and Meatballs high but my husband said the Meatballs were excellent. Finally, $27 for one Stuffed Pork Chop also seemed high but it tasted great, the garlic white wine sauce made a tasty glaze. We ordered Tiramisu for the table and one person got the blueberry sorbet. I found the Tiramisu traditional and another person thought the mascarpone cheese was whipped too much. I read a several reviews, most of the reviewers praised the service as outstanding; we found our server disappearing for 30 - 40 minutes; we had to call someone over to order desert and another to get the check.

Great bar and table area. Drinks: Italian wine Luigi Righetti Valpolicella Ripasso and bread while I waited on my appetizer. Standard Peroni Italian beer. Dessert: apple crostata with vanilla gelato and drizzled caramel. This was good, fresh, and hot. Need a little more apples but delicious. Appetizer: I had Fritto Misto lightly breaded calamari, octopus, and shrimp in garlic. I liked this dish and substituted the cocktail sauce for marinara. I'm not into sweet dips. Entree: Bucatini Del lazio a pasta with lobster meat and jumbo shrimp in a brandy cream sauce. This was delicious and light. I can tell that the pasta was homemade. Very filling but I would have wanted more garlic in it.

The tomato sauce was flavorful, and the shaved Parmesan and arugula complemented the dish beautifully. Unfortunately, the arancini themselves were disappointing, as the coating was much too thick compared to the small amount of rice filling inside. For our entrées, my husband ordered the Chicken Parmigiana. The chicken was unfortunately very dry and overly salted. I chose the pappardelle with short rib ragù. The fresh pasta was excellent--perfectly made with a wonderful texture--but the ragù was also overly salted, which overshadowed what could have been a great dish. One of the highlights of our evening was the service. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout our meal. The hostess, who may have been the owner, also stopped by our table to check on us, which we appreciated. Overall, this certainly wasn't the worst Italian restaurant we've visited, and there were several things we enjoyed. However, the entrées ultimately fell short of our expectations, especially for a special dinner.

They have an excellent bar up front and make great cocktails- my husband and dad both love the classic old fashion! I'm a sucker for a nice glass of Pinot Noir. If you're dining in (and you really should!) The pasta bolognese is a must have. Always amazing. And the black pepper shrimp over polenta is an amazing appetizer! So rich and delicious. These are both part of my go-to order here. Recently expanded my order and tried the short rib over polenta for the first time, it was amazing. Tender. Flavorful. Good sized portion. Wonderful. Will absolutely get again. For dessert, and there's always room for dessert here in my opinion, I love to get the rich panna cotta. This past time though we got the butterscotch budino, which was smooth and rich without being overly sweet. It was perfect to share (or not)! Just enough hint of butterscotch and topped with a crumbled shortbread cookie to an add a little crunch to the otherwise creamy treat. The staff is always helpful in making recommendations to suit your tastes too! There is a call ahead wait list and they've also started taking reservations. My husband and I went for an early dinner, didn't have reservations, it was just us two. We were told an approx 10 min wait, which was fine. As we waited, we noticed a few empty booths for two in the bar - we asked to be seated, and they said of course. Very pleasant front end staff. Problem began with our phantom server, waited a while til someone approached us. No water, no menus, no server. Finally after almost 20 min, the server appeared, he seemed very frazzled. Spoke quickly. We asked for a menu, water, silverware & napkins. At almost 30 minutes, we finally ordered our entrees. I ordered Fettuccine Alfredo, and my husband ordered Arrabbiata Sauce w/spaghetti which came with a small side salad or soup. I chose soup, and my husband had a side salad. And we asked for some bread for the table. We waited another 20 minutes for our salad and soup, and I was given a tsp for the soup, all things considered, it was good. We saw the server twice while we were there, appeared very pre-occupied. The kitchen staff served our pasta meals. My husband said his was good, my Fettuccine Alfredo was also good, but very Al dente. Meantime, still waiting for bread .... All in all, it was a good meal, sometimes servers can make or break it! This individual really needs more training, or a different position. He made our experience very frustrating! But we will definitely give Labriola another chance!

We had a late lunch or early dinner on a weekend. Restaurant had other diners but it was slow. We ordered appetizers of cheesy garlic bread & fried calamari. Our mains were the new Pappardelle Bolognese, Eggplant Parmesan, Cheese Manicotti. The winner was still the eggplant Parmesan. (They were sold out of shells so we couldn't order the quarto or stuffed shells.) My husband felt the beef in the pappardelle tasted off, but I said it tasted ok...that dish wasn't what either of us was expecting. Our server was attentive and friendly. Other staff were also polite, etc. Left feeling like the meal was okay. Not what it once was. Would we be back? I don't know. Felt expensive for 3 people vs. other local restaurants near our home. When our server greeted us and asked how we were, we asked how he was doing in return, and he responded that he "could be better." While honesty is fine, it wasn't the best way to begin a dining experience. He appeared slow-moving and unwell throughout the meal, which honestly made us uncomfortable and less confident about the food we were eating. We couldn't help but wonder if he was sick--or possibly just recovering from New Year's Eve festivities--but either way, it impacted the experience. We ordered the chicken carbonara and the spicy shrimp penne, and it pains me to say this, but the food was mid at best. I genuinely feel like I would have enjoyed both the food and the service more had we gone to Olive Garden instead, which isn't something I say lightly. Since it was our first visit, I also expected a bit more guidance. The server knew it was our first time dining there, yet didn't explain the layout or how to exit the restaurant. When it came time to leave, I wasn't sure whether we were supposed to exit the same way we entered--through the kitchen--or navigate the maze-like dining room to find another way out. Overall, it just wasn't a great dining experience, and it's not how I would have chosen to start my first meal out in 2026. Disappointing all around.
