BUYERS BEWARE! My husband and I drove up from the Colorado Springs to look for a used commuter vehicle. Our salesman, Ian sent me over a list of vehicles available. When we arrived for a test drive the first ( 2013 3-series) vehicle was filthy. The navigation features it stated it had was not available in that vehicle. We then looked at the 2nd vehicle (2015 3-Series). This vehicle was also very dirty in the interior. I know these are used vehicles, but a little effort to detail them would have gone a long way. I looked at all the features in the and liked the vehicle. My husband drove it from the used lot to the front, the car vibrated loudly and even shut off before we came to a complete stop. We turned the Eco switch button off and the vehicle still continued to turn shutoff. Before we turned it off the vehicle began to vibrate and shake. We went inside and informed Ian of the issue, he asked me what kind of vibration. I informed him it was coming from the engine. He was too busy asking us paperwork information to be concerned. He went to the back to run our credit and was gone for over 30 minutes. Meanwhile, there was a couple next to us that were greeted by the GM asked if they wanted water and if there was anything they could do for them. I guess we were invisible, maybe we weren't dressed the "type" that could afford a BMW. Almost an hour went by for Ian to run my paperwork. I decided to look at the car fax. I noticed that the vehicle had been in 3 car accidents one that was reported to be in the front end. I assume this is why it was vibrating and shutting off. When Ian came back he looked at it himself on Carfax. He said it was common for carfax to put damages on that site. He asked me what my issue was with it. I told him i was not interested in buying a lemon. Ian proceeded with the credit application. About 1.5 later I was fed up, and grabbed my child and walked out. I texted Ian and told him I was not finding what I wanted and if I could have my insurance card back. I NEVER got a reply from Ian. This was rude. To the GM, please remember the first rule of sales. I traveled a distance to purchase the vehicle. I am the buyer. I was your guest! Ian needed a lot of work on his customer service and salesman skills and overall table manners. Leased a 3 Series with them for 3 years. All went well until lease return. They have botched and failed to rectify (Since April 31) the submission of excess wear and tear waiver paperwork to BMWFS. BMW is expecting $650 plus a $200 late fee for wear and tear which is 100% covered by the waiver I bought from Schomp, but they won't fulfill their obligation to submit photos to BMWFS/Allstate. read more

Apparently it is as difficult to pay off a lease and turn a car IN as it is to LEASE A NEW BMW from Ralph SCHOMP. Rude and unprofessional. Degrading and negative. Never will I buy or lease another BMW as it is clear that they make their money on the back end of a lease. So this is now day 6 after my google review ( which hasn't been addressed ), still no call/text, no check. They worked on my car and said there was also a visual inspection done. I'm curious to why in a month from the work being done, it being looked at, that there's a belt that popped. I was even told that when I got the appointment, that I would get a bumper to bumper inspection after the car was back complete. The day it was to be worked on, it went from a 3/hour give or take, to a 5/hour, to more than 8 hours still not complete and that landed a whole other ordeal. I just wanted to make sure that I gave those that are wanting to come here for service, to know that their not the best here and don't honor what they say to you verbally. Maybe it's my mistake for not getting things in writing and trusting people to be honorable as it was when you could just shake a (honest) persons hand and know things would get done. After 30 years of buying Benz from Littleton Mercedes we decided to try a BMW X5 that I enjoyed driving. The buying experIence was fine with Connor Hanlon but the service experience with Mike Gibson has been terrible. After we told him the car had several computer issues he stated that the problem was operator error and didn't have the time to discuss. He then went on to be very condescending and blew me off when we picked up the vehicle. Mike Gibson was so rude and acting like we were bothering him so we went to Josh Mooney who jumped in to help and signed us out so we could pick up the car - we were done with Gibson! Ryan Murphy in the Genius Dept was also helpful, friendly, considerate and confirming it was NEVER operator error and that BMW was following up with program updates in March to fix the huge problem that many are experiencing with this vehicle. I managed to get a really good deal on a 335 a few years ago. Since then, the only time its needed to go in was due to a factory recall on a filter that is part of the fuel system. This was done free of charge and Schomp gave me another BMW to use while the item was being fitted. I get a free loan vehicle when the cars in for servicing (which it will be this week) so I never have to worry about transport, or hiring a car. They've been flexible with my time schedule of dropping my car of for servicing and the availability of a loaner. No complaints, a very customer focused operation. read more

I purchased my 2009 BMW 135i from Schomp and the experience was great. They let me test drive the car and did not pressure me to buy on the spot. I left the dealer to go to other places and test drive different competing models. Ultimately, the 1 series sold itself. I have since taken my car to Schomp for service and every time I get great service from my Advisor Stuart. They get me on the schedule, provide a loaner, and always update me on the status of my car. read more

The BMW M3 that I bought a week ago turned out to have one major problem: the rear-view mirror was draining the battery (bizarre, right?). I notified Kyle Darcy about the issue and was quickly contacted by Jeff Edgell, who arranged a loaner car to be delivered to me and assured me that my M3 wouldn't be returned to me until the problem had been resolved. Jeff kept in contact with me via text (which is so much better than phone calls!!) over the next few days. The mirror was replaced, and I was also given a brand new battery. You may think this is all typical BMW Service, but there's one catch here: I wasn't buying a $70,000 brand new M3; I was buying a $17,000 used M3. When I first headed to the dealership, I was afraid that I'd be treated as a second-class citizen because I didn't have the big bucks to drop on a brand new Ultimate Driving Machine. In reality, the experience made me feel like the folks at Schomp BMW were truly eager for me to enjoy a trouble-free ownership experience. As a DIYer, it's very rare that I might consider going to a dealership for maintenance or repairs. However, the experience I've had with Schomp has changed that for me, and they will be my first stop in the future (despite being the furthest of three BMW dealers). read more

Schomp BMW installed my brake pads on my 2014 X3 so that the inner pads are both on the passenger side and the two outer brakes on the driver side. #incompetent. Roughly 12k miles later my car was making such horrific grinding sounds- something you definitely want to hear from a 5 year old BMW that you take IMPECCABLE care of. Ended up eating the sensor completely so it didn't even trip- according to the car there was still THOUSANDS of miles left. Would have been ok had they just owned up to it and fixed it, but instead now they're saying "it's impossible to install brakes that way." Ok. That's why I have invoices saying word for word that from Denver Downtown BMW, and text messages from your girl Carli at schomp saying after 5 days of keeping my car that it's fine. Service is terrible. When you drop off the car they are nice and it seems great. They can't tell you how long it will take and then they never call or answer or respond to messages trying to get an idea of when you can pick up your car. Dropped off before 8 am, left, called four times sent text to service advisor call the front desk they can't answer eight hours later and no idea when I can pick up my car. Service was for an oil and filter change by the way. Terrible! Next day now I wake up after car being there for 8 hours and the light comes on to say the antifreeze is so low I should not drive the car. Did they do the service yesterday? Again leave message talk to operator no response I will NEVER use any Schomp for service or buy a car there. read more

I accompanied a business owner to Schomp yesterday. I gather financing for business ventures. We inquired about purchasing 20 fleet cars for a new auto leasing business. It turns out to be cheaper for us to purchase the cars closer to the business location, which is in California. So this day, most of the experience at Schomp was perfect except for when the GM came into the room to ask questions. While he is very professional and knows his business well, he tried very hard to get rid of us immediately. We were there to make a large purchase but he tried to push us out the door without much of a discussion, until now the reason eludes me. I would be careful about discussing fleet pricing here. Summary: Once my car was paid for had to pester them about shipping the car to me, was lied to about the state of the car and damages to it(which they at first tried to blame the shipping company), when calling to just get my spare key promised to me and I was ignored. Dealt with: Robert Ashby & Carlo Sansotta This past January I purchased a 2011 Z4 from Schomp, while I love the car I will NEVER purchase a thing from this dealership again nor suggest it to anyone. I would in fact suggest avoid using this dealership. I live in DC and I couldn't physically view the car myself, instead I spoke with Carlo Sansotta about getting additional pictures and wanted details about any damages, scraps, state of brakes & tires; just trying to get an overall idea of the condition of the car. Made inquiries about if there were any missing items or if standard things such as the spare keys were included, was told everything was included etc. So I purchased the car to be shipped out to DC, after signing and sending in the paperwork I had to call MULTIPLE TIMES to remind them of my existence to actually set up shipping the car. First, was completely lied to about the state of the car. Was told that the only damage was some curb rash on the wheels. Car showed up here and the whole underside of the vehicle was torn up as in it looked like someone stuck a crowbar in the ground and they drove over it a few times The front bumper and both rockers were scraped to hell and there was multiple decent sized scratches on the front bumper as well. All of which were not shown in pictures that I would get from Carlos. Took the car in for the standard inspection to a shop we've been friends with for years and found out I was lied to about the state of the brakes. That the back brakes need to pretty much be replaced right then and the front ones not far behind. Carlos has sent me images of the car's dash displaying when the next brake change was needed, showing that they were pretty new which wasn't the case at all. If this is a BMW dealership how do you not perform a full inspection of the car? The information that was given to me for any question I asked was either a lie or just an assumption out of pure ignorance that was completely false. Car also showed up for delivery and came without the spare keys and without floor mats. In the end I called Schomp and spoke with Robert Ashby, listed out the issues and he had actually agreed to send me a check to help with some of the front bumper damages and a spare key. I did receive a check which I would say was a bright side of dealing with them, never saw the spare key. Tried to contact him again about obtaining one since was originally told it was included and since he had said on the phone he would have one sent out. Got a reply asking if I got it in writing and has since been ignored. No I didn't happen to get our phone conversation in writing. In the end I love the car; got new floor mats, replaced the brakes, looking in to fixing the damages done, in some time everything will be fixed. But in terms of dealing with this dealership it was high stress and the people I dealt with would lie to your face about anything asked. I don't think they even know what customer service even means. They could offer me my dream car for free and I wouldn't take it if I had to deal with them. Side Note: the shipping company they used and the Driver were great and arrived much faster than the original estimate! read more

I called 6 times and not once did I receive a response. I will never use the Schomp BMW service department again for my BMW. I've only been once to lease a new x6. Car gets eleventy stars, it's pretty amazing. Really a 3.5, and hope to bump it up based on future visits. I liked it better than other dealers I've worked with before and for this car. Staff is professional. Pros: Ana is legit. She shot a video and got in touch pretty quickly after I requested info, went out and shot a video. Day-of she was responsive with texts. This ended up being a half-day at the dealership (last Sat of the month) and I'd barely slept for a few days, but she was fun, knew her stuff, and kept it moving after taking the time to answer questions and agree on something. The 'one person' approach is nice. 'One price' was pretty good based on research; I don't believe it's really the best you can get but worked for me and I hate going rounds with some manager you never see. No 'destination fee' nonsense, which makes the pricing for the car itself easy. At delivery Asia went over everything at a good level of detail. They handled updating insurance but said they almost missed it, so double-check. Cons: It's a dealership, so expect the backend upsells for tint/bras/etc and supplemental insurance. This felt a bit rushed and you should do more research than me (none) about what options BMW has and what your insurance covers. Mini-pro is that pricing on the floor liners is like 10% more than WeatherTech and no waiting, so whatever it's reasonable. There was a miscommunication day-of about which car I was going to see that added a couple hours. I didn't confirm before going and it was unavailable for a while. Ana wasn't able to check email, so maybe just CC's to another person on the clock would be an improvement. read more

Bought a used vehicle, that went through there certification process before being offered for sale. The vehicle came with a 30 day warranty, that they would fix if any issues came up. The vehicle has broken down twice in that 30 day period, to which the first issue they corrected. The second issue, they wiped their hands clean of, and told me they will not fix. They only fixed the first issue as they have a policy that you can return vehicle within the first 48 hours. They did not want the vehicle back, because they knew it had issues, and am sticking me with the test of the problems. Do not buy from them! Updated 8/12 If you see their reply of asking me to contact them, they just did that for show. I contacted them, and they said they would get with management. Management didn't even respond! They are just acting like they are trying to "resolve" issues, but actually not doing anything at all. Sleezy salesmen and management! read more

The sales person that I worked with was EXTREMELY professional, and he did a great job of explaining their sales process upon my initial visit. He did a great job following up with me without being pushy, and he was very enthusiastic about the product that he was selling (and has owned for 30 years). Schomp describes their sales process with the catch phrase, "ONE price ONE person ONE hour," and I found this to be a delightfully accurate description. You deal with only one person throughout the entire transaction, so you experience none of the hard selling techniques that are common in dealerships through their finance or sales managers who tend to fade in and out of the process. Your sales person simply tells you the price, tells you what you'll get for your trade, goes over the other service and maintenance packages that are offered for sale (without trying to push you into purchasing any of them), and walks you through all of the paperwork..... Additionally, there were a couple of times that I brought my 6-year old daughter with me, and everyone on staff that interacted with her was wonderfully kind towards her and accommodating of her enthusiasm and inquisitiveness. You generally expect the typical service dept to start upselling using fear tactics like "if you don't change or fix _____ today, you can be stranded on the way home" blah blah blah. With 48,000 miles on a 6 year old vehicle, I got no "sales" pressure to perform any additonal service of any kind. I was in/out within 45 minutes. He was attentive, fixed the biggie that needed to be done and set it up better than I could have ever expected-on budget. He was easy to get a hold of or leave messages for and I think communication was excellent. Picking up the X5 when they were done was easy. He did not make me feel rushed and explained things nice and simple and was just awesome. I'm fixing things in steps and he has been nothing short of stellar in accommodating what I needed. I'm highly recommending this place for the great customer service experience I've had. I'm a big fan of Schomp from my recent buying experience with them but I'll admit the bar wasn't set very high from my previous experience with Murray (see my previous review on them). I made the connection with Travis online. He was very prompt and courteous in answering all of my questions prior to me showing up at the dealership. And when I did show up, he stopped at nothing to ensure my wife and I had a first rate buying experience. He answered all our questions and was respectful of our time as he worked thru the paperwork. He never once came across as one of those cheesy car salesmen we all know and despise. Travis is just good people and he knows the product. We managed to get a fair price on a trade in and left happy. I'm just hoping the Schomp service department lives up to the bar Travis set with our buying experience. read more

I really can't believe the reviews I just read about Schomp BMW. I have been a long standing Schomp customer since the broadway location and I have gotten nothing but absolutely amazing service every time I go in. Here is my challenge to you. Buy a car from somewhere else after buying from Schomp and see how long it takes you to trade it in so you can go back and purchase from them again. The loaner vehicles are beautiful (the Schomp vinyl needs to be removed like they were before), Mirza in finance will do whatever it takes to make your deal happen on the money end, Maciek in sales will bend over backward to make sure you are satisfied and know all the ins and outs feature wise, Mike in service has always been amazing since I met him over 10 years ago with my first 3 series, Eugen in parts always knows exactly what I need when brought an issue and if the part I need isn't there immediately, he gets it ordered with no question and it's there in a day or two. These guys are ridiculously sharp. Even the glass repair guy fixed my chip and put my car through the car wash. Just because. Regarding the stereotypes and apparel, BMWs are luxury items. Anybody who doesn't expect a tiny bit of pretentious behavior from sales hasn't purchased in this category before or is completely oblivious to the world we live in. I bought my x6 in sweatpants and flip flops. Mirza even sent me a video of the exact x6 I was looking for that arrived while I was at work. Pretty good service considering I never wore any of the Burberry hanging in my closet. I will never buy from anyone else because I learned from the lesson mentioned above. Keep it up guys. I really want to give Schomp BMW 5 stars. For sales, they get it. They respect a customer that walks in the door with a check in hand that knows they are paying for quality. If you're a haggler you aren't welcome there. I like it, it keeps the sale simple and for the car I bought I thought their price was very, very reasonable. I had no intention of haggling because I didn't want to come across as a douchebag. So, yes it looks like the 5 star hotel of BMW Dealerships. I like that. Their floor layout is very elegant. They will accommodate all needs to close a sale. I really did not expect to be able to drive away with my car that day and I was very pleased that I was able to. The parts department, strangely enough, is why I give them 4 stars. Maybe in a big city like Denver they get calls from all sorts of jackasses all day long asking asinine questions and bitching about things like brake pads and rotors costing nearly 500 dollars. Maybe they just like jerking people's chain? I don't know. Two experiences: 1. I needed a set of winter tires. I waited too late in the season and when I called Schomp the warehouse was out of the package tire+wheel sets, and they would have to build them for me and that almost doubles the cost. I called Winslow BMW (Colorado Springs) and asked if they had any and said no, and without any request from me they offered a discount for building the wheels for me. I was impressed, and jumped on it. 2. Car overheated, and lost coolant. I called and asked what coolant I needed to put in the car, and the schomp parts department said the stuff in the store is fine, just don't get the 50/50 mix. I said, what stuff? Oat, non-oat, what type? They said green. Again, called BMW, and the lady said don't put anything but BMW coolant in it. Put just water if you need to top it off long enough to get it in for service. 3. When I called once, they answered the phone and said "parts". It would be professional if they said "Schomp BMW, parts" or something of that nature. I've been impressed with their service department. They handle any request quickly, even if they are swamped with customers. Their loaner program is excellent. When they do a diagnosis, you receive a PDF document as well as a website that details out every inspection they did and any related point of failures. Pretty impressive. TL;DR I will always buy from Schomp, but I'm really not married to them when it comes to service. read more

The service department at Schomp is tremendous and I cannot say enough good things about them. The sales department are a bunch of jokers. This is review is for the new car sales department. I was interested in purchasing an M2 from Schomp. Being as this car is a rare find these days I am also searching inventory nationwide and was in contact with Schomp, along with other dealers in OR, TX and AZ. Getting ready to order the M2 from Schomp as I want spec'd as I have not been able to find the car exactly how I want it spec'd. The salesperson I have been working with contacts me and tells me they have the M2 in stock, although with a different transmission than I want. Sends me a video and invites me for test drive. I explain I would consider but really looking for a manual. He says come on in for a test drive after explaining the benefits of the DCT, I agree and we set the appt. No later than 15 min later he contacts me letting me know there is another buyer which as set an appointment for the same time, then he says he has an M4 for me to test drive. I let him know that is fine as we can reschedule when the M2 is available as I have already driven the M4. Then he proceeds to tell me the car cannot be test driven 'due to bmw policy since it is so rare', which I know is baloney since I was asked by the dealer in TX this week to come test drive an M2 which they have on the lot. I tell the Schomp salesperson I'm not going to purchase a $50K+ performance vehicle without a test drive. He responds and says he checked with his manager and got approval for me to drive it in the parking lot. Really??! I understand if someone else has purchased the car or if the dealer doesn't want it driven for some reason, but be upfront from the get go, and do not waste my time. Don't dangle the carrot to get me in the showroom to drool and wonk it in the parking lot. I'll continue to buy my bimmers from Murray where I have not had to deal with these types of shenanigans. read more

Brought my BMW to Schomp late this afternoon for some emergency service. While waiting for our car to be completed, we asked our Service Advisor, Karlie Diehl, if we could get wheel locks installed. She checked with parts and the shop. Locks were available and she promptly arranged for the locks to be installed. So between 3:30 PM and 5:00 PM, I got my problem solved, had wheel locks installed, and my car was washed. Karlie is a great Service Advisor. She is always pleasant to work with and goes the extra mile to keep me happy. read more

I have been a customer for five years. In the last couple of years, the service department has gone downhill terribly. It is disorganized, phones aren't answered, calls are not returned and they act as if they don't know what they're doing. Call the place to inquire about the car and ask the salesperson for some additional info since THERE ARE NO PICTURES. It's amazing how I could easily pay for the car in cash yet I the customer am treated with absolutely no regard and oddly total apathy. How do they think people will want to spend money at a place like this with sale persons this horrible? I have continually had problems with schomp every time I use them. When I bought my car through them, they had a promotion going where the first two months of your loan were paid by BMW. After purchasing the car, they would not honor the promotion, claiming it was only for some cars, but not my car. I had to prove I was told I was eligible for the promotion through paperwork and testimony of people who were with me when I purchased the car, and had to file a complaint with the better business bureau to get them to honor the promotion. Since then I have brought my car in to be serviced a few times. This last time, after owning the car for 3 years, I discovered they did not certify the car correctly and as a result all maintenance on the vehicle has not been done properly, regardless of having the BMW maintenance plan. This error was discovered by me, after questioning why oil changes were only being done every 2 years/20000 miles which is not congruent with BMWs police, even though I had been brining my car to a BMW dealer annually. After speaking to the sales manager twice, and the service manager twice, I was able to get part of the maintnece that was owed, however I had to speak with the service manager again when picking up my car, as the service tech tried to bill me for the services. Further more, the dealership tried to blame the fact the car not been maintained by them properly on my car being in California for 6 months. The car regardless of locations has been brought in to a dealership as needed for maintenance. The problem is the car was not certified correctly, so the maintenance lights indicating the vehicle needed service did not go off at the appropriate times, and Schomp failed to catch this at any of the 4 times the car has been brought into to them. I am still working on figuring out the potential damage from the vehicle not being maintained properly, and what the effects could be in the future. It always seems to be a headache, when working with schomp and making sure they hold up their contractual responsibilities. read more
