My service advisor Samantha was amazing. She not only showed genuine concern about my automotive problem, but was also interested in ME (and my dogs). I had just driven my X3 back to Colorado from a dog show in Kansas in 88 degrees and 40 mph winds with no air conditioning. My Bernese Mountain Dogs were extremely uncomfortable, they do not do well in heat, and driving with the windows open was awful with the dust and noise. My Service Manager, James, was equally caring and professional. He listened attentively as I told him about other concerns I had with the car. Highly do not recommend taking your BMW for service at this location. They do not keep their word. They told me my car would be finished by end of day. Set an appointment up at 9:00am. Got a call right before they closed saying they needed my car another "hour". The guy proceeded to tell me that they had to drill my lug nut off BUT THAT WAS THE SERVICE I PAID FOR AND was the ORIGINAL reason why I brought my car in... now it's the day after I'm supposed to pick it up and they said it's ready, I go in and they tell me sorry that it's not ready for pick up because it's not washed. Not only was my experience was bad, I'm over hearing a couple next to me talking with the service manager about how bad their experience was. This is clearly BAD SERVICE. The service department at Ralph Schomp BMW is the most pathetic and incompetent service team anyone can encounter. I've serviced my cars from Kuni Lexus to McDonald Audi and Ralph Schomp over the last 19 years and and Ralph Schomp consistently takes the crown for the worst customer service place led by most incompetent Robert Villanueba and his sidekick Austin Tafoya. As a result, the majority of the service advisors are equally indifferent and uncaring. The good ones always leave. Here is the reason that I have very bad feelings about Shcomp BMW: I brought my car in 1/1/21 at 10:15 because the on-board computer was alerting me that my brake pads needed attention. At approximately 12:00, Ashley sent me a quote for the repairs which was over $1000 for 3 items needing attention, however there were 4-dollar amounts listed. I pointed this out to Ashley and she said "oh sorry that $200 charge wasn't supposed to be in there". New brake pads were quoted at $600. I told her to proceed only with the brake pads. After checking with a friend, 20 minutes later, I texted Ashley and told per not to proceed with the brake pads. She responded that they already started the work and they couldn't be stopped. This was only 20 minutes after the first conversation. I expressed my concern about the high cost to just replace brake pads. She said she would change the labor to $300 and parts to $177. This totals $477. I wanted to see the video of the brake pads so that I could verify that I really needed them. Ashley could not find the video. Finally, 5 hours later at 5:15 she told me that my car was ready. How could it take 5 hours to change my front brake pads if they had truly begun the work immediately after our first conversation. The next morning on 1/2/21 I went to pick up my car and Ashley was not there. Another advisor helped me and handed me my bill for over $950. I told her that this wasn't correct. She calls a manger and they look at the bill. Come to find out Schomp had charged me twice for labor. In my frustration over that error, I paid the bill for $600.03. Upon reviewing the bill, I remember that Ashley had told me that the bill would be $477. This is what Ashley had promised. I immediately contact Ashley about the error. A few days later, on 1/5/21, I brought my car in for a warranty repair and ask about the video again which she had never sent me. She assures me she sent it again. I was due a $112.49 refund due to the miscalculation. I insist on Ashley processing the $112.49 refund while I stood there so that I could have a receipt . At this point I don't trust the fact that she will give me the refund. I have never received the video to prove that I needed the brake pads in the first place so I text her again later that day to remind her. I've never received the video and finally she tells me she can't find the video anymore. She said that was talking with a manager trying to get it. I never hear from her again after me texting her a couple more times. Buying a BMW is a big purchase for me and now I have lost total confidence in Schomp BMW. read more

We've bought two of our three current cars from here and never again! We brought our BMW in and they quoted $16,000 and said they had to rebuild the engine. (Also to be clear, we bought the BMW, used, from them and had so many issues with the car from the beginning.) Luckily we had a different mechanic look at it before bringing it in and he pointed us towards Eurogarage Denver. Go there! They fixed it for $3,000!!!! Schomp is so crooked! This place is ok. I brought my car in for a recall. I didn't know that the Service Center was run like an assembly line. I pulled in, and there were multiple lines of vehicles, and the service techs, associates, and a few people who's job is to just get water to customers (I think) we're all over the garage. It was an overwhelming experience, but I kind of enjoyed it. The check-in process was easy, and they took my car away within minutes. While waiting for my Uber, I walked the lot a bit. I was in a hoodie and jeans, nobody came out to meet me, so I looked at the new model of my vehicle...and left. When I came back to pick up my car, I signed the paperwork, was given the keys and then told that they did not have time to detail my car, but if I came back, they would do it. Muted expectations. Why? It's a car dealership. Not only that this was a long distance love affair to start with. Part of our dealings with this dealership was online, by phone and finally in person. All three were exceptionally done well. The online and phone portions were followed up by a call and a return email. Plus a sweet video of the car I was interested in while I was still in California. A promise to send me a video was delivered on said day. They have a great looking dealership. Very modern and minimalist. Loaded with beautiful looking Ultimate Driving Machines. Just to tease you, me and everyone that appreciates a well made German car. We ended up with an I3 all electric car. A sweet ride. A perfect commuter car. The night I landed which was just this week we drove to the dealership to sign the papers and pick up the car. Before that they really worked with us to make it happen while I was still in California. They used the power of the Internet, phone, courier to facilitate the purchase. Justin Linder has been nothing but helpful, informative and easy to reach for questions. He's also very easy to relate to. Very far from the car salesman stereotype. But then again so is most of the staff at this dealership. They are just the kind of people that seem genuinely interested in giving you a great experience from beginning to end. I've spoken to a couple of friendly staff with great phone personalities. They were following up on the purchase and to set up appointments to meet with a genius. My wife brought her car in with a "service engine soon" message annunciated. Schomp had the car for a week and called to say the car was done with a list of "needed" services such as new windshield wipers.... And "severe" oil leaks. Not one drop of oil is on our garage floor. But all of the sudden the engine is leaking oil after we picked up the car.... I am pulling off all the skid plates and plastic engine covers now and I found the oil pressure sensor wire connector was disconnected and the metal skid plate had bolts that were loose and barely installed. When she picked up the car it still had the "service engine soon" message as well. Either they blatantly sabotaged the car or they have zero quality control, doesn't matter which one but I won't go back. Now I have to check the torque on all of the exposed fasteners on the car due to lost trust. My parents had a similar experience with their BMW as well. read more

DO NOT USE THE SERVICE CENTER!!!! We purchased a used BMW that had been serviced with Schomp. That had been a big selling feature as we had purchased another car from Schomp and we're satisfied with our service. HOWEVER beware these guys are worse than any other run of the mill service place. We had diagnostics ran in April and we had $1700 of services completed to include them telling us the check engine light was fluke. Two weeks later we had to have it towed. Another diagnostic ran and we're told we need to spend $7000 on a timing chain. They worked the price down to $5500. Parts needed to be order and Schomp had our vehicle the WHOLE time from May 10 to today. Parts came in but GUESS WHAT??? We got a TEXT that said they now notice a knocking with the motor and IN TEXT tell us that will cost $17,000!!!! What the actual eff! Is Schomp running a scam??? They had our car even sent us video of our second diagnostic (spoiler alert no knocking on that video) and now want us to shell out for a new engine when the vehicle had been in THEIR possession for over 5 weeks. Have they been driving the car? This seem shady AF. And to top it off we can't get a call back...just a text to let us know we should drop $17,000 on services. Are you kidding Schomp???? Kind of stuck like a rock in a hard place as Schomp has a lot of opportunities for their service, but so does the BMW dealership in Denver proper. I go to Schomp because it's closer. But 1/3 times was my car washed after servicing as instructed as part of the service. One of my wheels is cracked. I need a replacement. My wife called to schedule the appointment for me. She ask if the wheel is covered under my warranty they told her "yes" but she's not able to make the appointment because only I can call. No problem. So I call this time, the receptionist tells me it's going to cost about $700. I politely explain that my wife just called before me and they told her it was covered. Then she starts being rude. I'm transferred to Adrian who is supposed to be the parts department manager. Adrian tells me that my car does not appear to be covered but he will double check and call me back. Slightly annoying but understandable. Adrian calls me back. He says from what he can see. My car is not covered. He said "if you want the wheel fixed it will be about $700." I'm like "that's weird let me talk to my wife and give you a call back." He gives me his name and number and tells him to call him back. I talk to my wife. She calls back up there and explains the situation. They tell her yet again that my wheel is covered under warranty. I can come down there and have it taken care of at no cost. They even add a notation to my account saying that the wheel is covered for me. What could go wrong? I call Adrian back and tell him that my wife called again and explained the situation. She was told again for the second time that the wheel is covered under warranty and they added a note to my account that says I'm covered. Adrian completely ignores me. His reply is that he had to call some other department that's separate from the dealers ship to see if I'm actually covered. Totally ignoring what I said about the note on the account. Making it seem like I'm just making all this stuff up. Not even acknowledging anything I've said about the note. At around 4pm He says he'll call this department and give me a call back. I don't get any call or text back period. My wife gets home from work and literally has a voicemail from Schomp BMW saying that the wheel is covered under warranty!!! The next day around 1pm after still not hearing anything at all, I try to call Adrian. I get the same rude receptionist in the parts department from the day before. Adrian finally gives me a call back. I tell him that I have a voicemail recording on my wife's phone from someone at Schomp BMW (the same dealership he works at!) saying that the wheel is covered. I'm once again not even acknowledged. HE TELLS ME THAT THE WHEEL ON MY CAR IS STILL NOT COVERED. He never acknowledged the voicemail at all or tried to do ANYTHING to help me at all. All he says is that he has to call some place to see if I have coverage or not and that they're closed. This is the worst customer service experience I've had that I can think of in 2021. Way to wrap up the year! I called someone in the service department and explained this. They ask me if I wanted to speak to the department manager. I said yes and of course they were unavailable. They said they will call me back. I will update this post as the situation goes on and let you know if they do anything to make this right! Although I can't imagine what that could be after stressing me the hell out. Wasting a ton of my time and energy over a car wheel. 01-05-21 Update: a week ago I scheduled an appointment to bring my car in at 9:30. There were no loaners available I was told it should take about an hour and a half. I get there at 9:15 for my appointment. My advisor asks what I brought the car in for and how I'll be paying. I tell him it should already be approved. He says he'll have to check smh. I'm told that they're swamped and my car won't be ready until the end of the day.... they offer me a Lyft ride home and tell me to wait in the lobby for 10 minutes. An hour later I tell my advisor Chris that I'm still waiting for a ride and that I can arrange my own ride if necessary. He says oh I'm sorry we were having the same problem earlier. 5 minutes later the Lyft gets there. I kid you not, the driver misses my exit and I think "that's weird that she's taking the long way" I look up and notice the gps directions were off. I don't think the dealership even gave them the right address! I get home. Wait patiently all day. Get a call saying they're still waiting on an approval of my warranty and my car should be ready tomorrow. I can't think of one single positive thing to say about this dealership or this experience. The owners of this dealership must have a side hustle, giving tips to the devil on how hell could be worse. A trip here is the only thing that could have made Mr. Rogers truly depressed. Russian labor camps should look to them for inspiration. If they found out you were satisfied after a visit they'd probably add an upcharge to your bill and ask you how they could avoid this in the future. My first service trip, they told me the squealing brakes on my CPO X5 purchased three months prior weren't covered by my extended warranty or the CPO warranty. BMW Downtown disagreed and covered the repairs no charge. Second service trip, they charged +$1k to remove my bumper and reconnect a plug a tech had forgotten to connect. Third service visit, I came in with a Check Control message that came on maybe once a week but then would clear and be fine. After spending $3k to address the CC message and other maintenance, I drive off the service lot and the same Check Control message popped back up and now suddenly wouldn't go away. I called Schomp immediately and instead of having me come right back it took them nearly a month to get me back in for another service visit to see why they failed to fix the issue that brought me in in the first place. Which leads to today, my fourth service experience, where upon my arrival I'm teased with the prospect of being loaned an M5 to make up for their mistake, only to have the check-in go so long the loaner department gave the M5 to someone while I waited. So my prize for having my time wasted, losing hours of work for repeated service visits is to drive a tiny 3-series instead of something even vaguely equivalent to my vehicle, which they've effectively make worse and failed to even acknowledge. If car dealerships had a Razzies award ceremony, Schomp BMW would sweep the competition. read more

Seven months ago I gave Schomp BMW an excellent review and it's sad that I have to do another that's the total opposite to that. I was in for service a couple months ago and enquired about having the door handle replaced because the welcome light was faulty. Behrooz came out and was quite helpful and explained that it's not an item they had in stock and it would have to be ordered and then sent to get painted, I agreed, no problem whatsoever. Two weeks later I get a text stating the part has arrived and I could come to have it installed (via text) I responded indicating I was told it was supposed to be sent to get painted and asked if that had been completed. About a week or so goes and no response, I text the number back since that seemed to be the preferred method of communication and got a response which stated it had not been painted and would now be sent and it was hard to respond to text messages because he is usually away from his desk, but he tries his best, as he so eloquently put it. About a month goes by and I get another one of these texts stating the parts team reached out to him, good news, the part is ready, come on down (in my Bob Barker voice!) I make my way down to Schomp (made an appointment) which is a considerable drive from where I live, new advisor greets me, what are you here for? I explained the situation, someone from here texted stating the part is ready (shows him text) so I'm here to have it installed, I was told it shouldn't take more than half an hour. About half an hour goes by and the advisor comes back, "So it looks like the handle still had to be sent to get painted so we will reach out to you as we have that back!" As peeved as I am this happens (it's not supposed to but it does) I say ok, no problem and I leave, after wasting an entire morning. I immediately respond to the text because when I asked to see that person I was told they were unavailable. I express my frustration, disappointment and dissatisfaction about my time being wasted when I specifically asked prior to making the appointment if the part was painted, no response. Five months later (yesterday) I receive a text stating great news, the parts team have my part and it's ready to be installed. I have bought a new vehicle in this time, had wheels powder coated, roof rack installed, clear bra and tint done in a period of one week with just one email to Kuni Lexus. I didn't post this review the day my time was wasted because I was hoping service recovery would have taken place, quite the opposite. There is either a huge flaw with your texting system or with staff efficiency in responding, I hope you look into it, BMW's are amazing but the service needs to be as well. I didn't name anyone because the intention of this review is not to bash or get anyone in trouble, it's to simply highlight an issue that could have been handled completely different and was the deciding factor in me getting rid of my BMW, if it takes five months to get a door handle painted that creates serious doubts as to what will happen in the future. Had an appointment for one oil change, just an oil change and I was here for over two hours. Terrible service.

I bought a car from Schomp BMW about two weeks ago. I was initially drawn in by their 1 hour / 1 price promise. The whole experience ended up taking 8 hours... so l guess I should have been expecting to be let down. During the test drive the low tire pressure light was on. My car salesperson assured me that it was because the car had been sitting on the lot. I enjoyed the car other than that so I bought it. They put air in the tire and l took it home. Today the light came on again. I called Schomp and got the run around. They told me that they don't always pump the tires up to the right PSI because they don't have the manuals for every car. They basically told me to put more air in the tires and see it happens again. Of course it will happen again... that answer felt very much like a brush off. Instead l took the car to a Discount Tire where they fixed the issue for free (it was a broken tire valve) and did it without running me around. read more

I asked the "service" rep if they could fix them(literally show him what needed to be fixed), he said they'd have to do a $200 diagnosis first. After waiting 2 HOURS he tells me 1 of the items will be fixed, I asked him about the other item and he says the mechanic may have not seen the paper he left in the car. What?? I found a CPO car listed on Schomp's website that met my criteria of budget and mileage and inquired about it, and was told by the Sales Advisor on that Saturday that it was "currently going through our maintenance and safety inspections." I requested to be informed when that would be completed, which went left unanswered. Monday morning comes along, and I reach out to see if the car is ready. I'm again told it's still going through the inspection process, and the Sales Advisor provided a link of other available cars with higher prices and mileage. At this point I'm becoming suspicious as to whether they even have this particular car in stock, as the price point was aggressive enough (advertised as being slightly below KBB value) that it seemed like a classic fishing lure to get a buyer engaged. I follow up again Tuesday morning with a different rep, and am told that the car is ready and available, so I respond asking when would be a good time to come down that day to test drive the car. I was met with an apology, and that the car had a deposit put on it first thing that morning. Interestingly enough, I received this email **before the dealership was even open for business** for said buyer to put the deposit down. UPDATE BELOW! I have had the worst experience with Schomp BMW Service! If I could give zero stars I would but you are forced to select at least one star. So as the story goes. Please people pay attention to this review before you find yourself in a terrible situation as I have. My BMW X3 originally went in for repairs in November of 2021. The night it was picked up on the way home the vehicle had very low power and was smoking. When I arrived home it was leaking oil, and smoking. The car was towed back in the very next day after I had waited over a month to get it back. The vehicle was there again for another month and a half. I was finally able to pick the vehicle back up. Within 1 week of having my vehicle back a second time a noise developed from the engine area, the vehicle was towed in yet a third time. The vehicle was there for over 3 months this time with little to no communication from anyone. I was finally able to pick the vehicle up. The very same night the vehicle was picked up I had dinner plans in the evening and drove to the restaurant and on the way home while on the freeway the vehicle lost power and died while driving at freeway speed. I had just enough time to get off to the side of the freeway. The vehicle was picked up and towed back once again to the dealership. The vehicle is now going on an additional two months of being there with no communication from Schomp BMW. The vehicle repairs were not performed up to BMW procedures and this was verified by BMW North America. Here we sit still trying to get answers and the only communication we've had was an Advisor asking me to sign off on replacing the engine!!!!! WOW!!!! I am in the process of securing an attorney at this point. People, please take this review very serious, I would hate for anyone to have to go through what I'm still going through. Keep in mind I've been making car payments & paying insurance for months on this vehicle & have had nothing but disappointments throughout this whole process!!!! People RUN AWAY don't walk!!! UPDATE 04/04/2023: I finally received my car back with a new engine which they tried to put in a refurbished engine in btw, we paid $1,000 out of pocket to have a factory bmw engine put in yet another cheap move on their part. When we received my car back it wasn't even cleaned & had clearly been sitting outside for right under a year through the different seasons, the paint was in bad shape in certain areas and the inside looked like a mechanic had been living in it with dirt all throughout on the dash, seats, instrument cluster, steering wheel and just overall filthy inside & out. We had to take it and pay for it to be completely detailed inside and out which we came out of pocket for another $450 just to have it look decent again. It only took less than 2 months of driving this vehicle maybe a total of 500 miles that the engine caught fire! Since I refuse to ever use Schomp BMW again in this lifetime we had another BMW tech inspect the engine only to find that when they replaced the engine they didn't tighten a bolt down that caused wiring to come loose and were rubbing on the engine which eventually caught fire! I am beyond even finding words to explain how terrible this dealership is! It would have been nice if along the way they would have been kind, taken care of my vehicle, gave status updates, not tried to squeeze every penny they could get out of us on top of it but NO they were horrible to work with, could have cared less and down right rude from the GM at the time, Jack D., Service Director, Service Manager and incompetent technicians! This has been the worst experience in my life working with a supposed upscale dealership. If you need service work on your BMW I would highly recommend you take it to Downtown Denver BMW where you will be treated well, taken good care of and get the service you deserve! This household has banned using Schomp BMW for life! Good riddance! I only hope sharing my story will help others to make a better decision than I did by using them for service need's! read more

Oh boy, where do you even start. I bought a CPO BMW and paid extra for extended warranty and maintenance. Head unit (which controls almost everything in the cockpit) was glitchy from start. I have email exchanges and phone records showing this to be an issue over the course of years. When I finally got an outside opinion, I was told the unit was defective. Schomp didn't return dozens of phone calls. When I finally reached someone via email I was told they couldn't do anything because the car was no longer under warranty! It was under warranty for a long time while I told them about the issue, but they kept kicking the can down the road until they could blow it off. They did offer me 10% off their full price (which was over $2000) to fix it, which was really frustrating. Do it at cost at least. Although disappointed I can't say I was surprised at their last effort to grab more of my money. They had already revealed themselves over the previous years. "Fool me once, shame on you." The service at this location is substandard The staff talk to you like the hostess in the movie Ferris Bueller Day off. When our lease is up we will not be buying or leasing a auto from any Schomp Dealers Here is a list of issues and responses. When do I need to rotate tires. You don't. Why? Beacus Do I need new tires? I don't know What service was done on the car Service What kind of service What the car needed Did you change the oil? If the car needed it Did you fill up the fluids? If the service required it My car says it gets 99 miles to the gallon? It must When I get gas - sometimes the gas cap cover - not the cap - does not close. Well close it Gas cap cover does. It close - stays open. Close it Car comes in for service - car was Detailed the day before Car comes back dirty then it came in. Do I need new windshield wipers ? I don't know My wife would like to return car early so she does not have to deal with these guys. Buy or lease a car somewhere else. August 17,3029 Ok third review. So my wife's BMW needs service. She went on line to make an appointment and it said "no appointments until next year". So she called and was told they had one time slot the last day of September . The lady on the phone wa led very rude. My wife said she would try taking it somewhere else and the Rude last said "ok" and hung up. She can't wait too be done with with this place. Only 10 months worth of payments left. I keep telling her to pay off the lease and walk away. Being 51 years old - I have purchased too many cars for personal and fleet use. I have never had such a poor experience at any dealership then this place. I don't think I have ever had such a poor experience with any business ever. We had a bad experience at this dealership. I walked into there show room with my wife and her parents. They were visiting from Europe. There was an older woman at the counter who kind of scowled at us. No one asked us of we needed any help. We felt very unwelcome. We were all dressed well. My wife and I make more than enough money to buy a bmw. ( I had 20k to put down when I walked in) I was excited to get some information and to test drive a few different options. That enthusiasm was put to rest quickly after the feeling we got when we walked into the showroom. Sad..... We went back outside and there were three people with Shomp shirts on standing around a Lexus. They didn't even say hi to us. Either these guys don't want to sell cars or they don't like foreigners. Either way, we won't be giving them our business. If you decide to come here regardless of your income or portfolio I recommend renting a tuxedo if you want to be helped good luck guys. read more

I purchased a new BMW from this dealership, and had a wonderful experience. There is no hassle and the process is smooth. I was provided incentives/discounts I didn't ask for, plus a fresh set of all-weather floor/cargo mats for my brand new SUV. Everyone was kind, professional, and always had smiles on their faces! My one and only complaint was the pressure to purchase a service agreement package and extended warranty. The fear tactics didn't work, and while something like that works for some, it was getting a bit silly. But they're only doing their job, and I'm sure there is incentive to the sales person to add a $20k-$30k service package to the sale. Nonetheless, I'd buy from this dealership again in a heartbeat and recommend for anyone buying their first BMW. read more

This whole thing happened all over again today. They have one excuse after the other. I had scheduled valet pick up for today at 10:40 am which was confirmed by email. I just hung up the phone (2 hours after they were supposed to be here) only to find out they don't have any loaners available...blah, blah, blah. No heads up phone call from this dealership, no remorse. No one had any intentions of notifying me!! Here's their solution: Schomp BMW failed, so I should now make a phone call to BMW Roadside Assist. Roadside assist will find a towing truck to transport my car to Ralph Schomp BMW, When that truck arrives (time unknown at this point) I should "hop in" the truck to Highlands Ranch and pick up the loaner myself. But I thought you just said there are no loners available...?! What utter nonsense! read more
