Wondering around and saw this place in the water and decided to give it a try. The hostess was very nice and gave us the low down You order at the bar and they bring your food to the table. We ordered a dozen oysters and the fish and chips. The oysters were so fresh and tasty. The fish and chips were large chunks of haddock in a very light coating with minimal spice but just perfect. The cries weee like the double breaded fried ones crisp and good too. The picnic tables are close to the water with nice views of the bay. Decor is open bar T the water style but just fine. My only complaint to a perfect meal is the ice tea tasted old or maybe it was the water they used.

We found this little gem on our travel route, exploring Pemaquid Point Lighthouse...after we explored the Lighthouse area (which was phenomenal) we doubled back to enjoy a late lunch. The food was wonderful, staff friendly and views amazing (we even watched an eagle and another bird battle in the air over a fish...the eagle won). Only reason for 4 stars is they needed more seating area for shaded seating and we felt were a tad pricey for the portions! Otherwise, highly recommend for great food and a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere!

What a great place! We loved sitting inside with a nice breeze and a view of the bay. We ordered the lobster stew which was the best lobster stew I've ever had! We also ordered the large salad which was plenty to share. We also had the crab cake basket. The potato salad was awesome. Not mayonaisy at all. They make it themselves so I highly recommend getting the potato salad. The coleslaw also looked good. The crab cakes were so so. We had wanted to get the fresh oysters but they were out because we arrived too late at lunch. Loved the staff and the ambiance

We stopped in before an oyster cruise. Place is hopping and the sun is shining! We ordered our food and grabbed a table on the water. Drinks are wonderful and our food arrived quickly. I ordered crab cakes.. filled with crab! The fish basket disappeared on my husbands side of the table rather quickly! Nachos were huge and delish! Tourists love this place but so do locals.. it's a must!

Come here for a sundowner, wine or a beer and sit at the patio to watch the boats and tourists go by. The nachos are good too. But really, you are here for a drink and the view. Bail by 7pm or the bugs will eat you alive.

Honestly I would have given this a three even if they served me literal sand for food, as the venue is on a great view of the Damariscotta river. The food was honestly just okay, but it's worth stopping to at least get a drink on the deck.

A very nice atmosphere. Love the outdoor bar. Always crowded on weekends during tourist season so prepare to wait. Food is good. Fresh seafood. A bit pricey though. Beautiful view of the river.

We initially came for the view. Stayed for lunch, and I looked at the reviews. I have NO idea why they are so bad! We ordered, fried clams with sweet potato fries - EXCELLENT, and lots of both! We also ordered fried Calamari, and lobster stew. Both were fantastic. The stew was tasty, with tons of lobster, the calamari, cooked to perfection. So happy we stayed! Did I mention the view?!!

Great location, nice staff, terrible food. My advise is to have a drink, enjoy the view, then go someplace else to eat.

From the reclaimed wood in the hardwood floors to the antiques lighting and decor, this place is a treat to visit even before delving into your meal. They graciously took our reservation over the phone 10 minutes ahead for our party of 8, and had the table waiting when we arrived. After a warm greeting by the manager, she quickly seated us and took out drink orders. We started off with several appetizers including Seafood Stew, Bacon-Wrapped Sea Scallops, and garden salad. Generous entrees followed out expeditiously consisting of fresh Fried Haddock sandwich + fries, fresh Fried Clam sandwich, grilled Ribeye, grilled Salmon, and for the kids, fried chicken strips. Everything was homemade and sourced from local farms and suppliers. Service was OUTSTANDING from start to finish. Bottom line, I give ReUnion Station my strongest endorsement

Think rustic feeling restaurant that utilizes a train car for part of their building and lots of train themed decor. Plenty of parking and when we showed up and we got sat right away. Large menu with a good variety so everyone in your party should find something they want. Also had a specials offering for the day with some good sounding options as well. Staff were friendly and greeted us and once ordered food came out quick. I thought prices were reasonable which does seem harder and harder to find nowadays. Did the food blow me away enough to rush back or tell everyone I run into to check this spot out? Well no, but it was decent especially for the price. My wife got a BLT and was perfectly crisp and they didn't skimp on the bacon. I got their fried clam dinner and it was not bad, little lighter on amount of clams than some spots and not the best tasting fried clams I have had but decent. It seems like a spot that would remember you after just a couple visits and the workers would treat you like family! Overall solid experience here with good vibes and friendly staff for decent tasting food at a reasonable price.

We enjoyed a table outside in a perfect shaded area on a beautiful day. Inside was a perfect rustic and homey vibe with some live music during our visit. Both inside and out were popular choices and we had a little line before ordering but minimal wait. Food wise my I got a lobster cilantro and lime lobster roll, while my wife got a Lemon Dill Lobster roll (both currently $30 market price). I think the space is very cozy, with an open kitchen and wood tables and bar. The cute little market in back is wonderful to check out before or after your meal. The staff is absolutely wonderful. So kind and making recommendations along with answering any questions you have. I think for the price of food you are really getting a great deal. Everything is made fresh in house from scratch which you can watch when you sit at the bar which i did. Watching orange juice wbu freshly squeezed and the donuts being put together from absolute scratch. The burger is definitely a great choice, I couldn't get over the house cut fries and the alna sauce was wonderful to dip them in. The burger was juicy and delicious and paired perfectly with the Volcanique red they had on the menu. My mother ordered the grits and eggs, this dish was cooked perfectly and had a house made salsa verde. The side of sourdough is a must get for shareable side. The house made jam was spectacular - they make every sauce and dip and spread in house and you can really tell. It elevates the meal so much. The drinks were a bit overpriced in my opinion but as someone who lives in Portland i wasn't surprised they were priced that way. The standout from the meal was definitely the sour dough donut. This was fried fresh to order and we had the seasonal flavor that was lime glazed and it was absolutely breathtaking! The crispy exterior with the fluffy inside was perfection - you have to order this. I definitely will need to come and check out dinner here. Highly recommend making the trek out!

Everything about The Alna Store is so special--it's possibly the best meal you will ever have, while inside the most unpretentious building, an actual store that sells produce and specialty gift items. A place like this should be experienced as a planned outing, not just a restaurant that's happened upon. A James Beard Award winning restaurant inside what could have been my grandparents' barn, along with beautifully mismatched silverware and repurposed green wine bottle water glasses--what could be more Maine? On both visits we were so excited that we arrived about a half hour early for our reservation, yet were welcomed and promptly seated. The service is excellent, and the food is next level out of this world. I couldn't help but want the person I was with to try what I was eating so we could try to parse out the complex flavors in each dish. Is that a tomato base? Chives? Ginger? Cucumber? We enjoyed every bite of every plate. Both times we started with the gazpacho, at dinner it was served with a grilled/toaster piece of sourdough focaccia. Fantastic! My dinner entree was the grilled squash with roasted peppers and delicious, flavorful breadcrumbs, and fresh mint leaves--it was our favorite plate of the meal. We both had desserts (pictured), the cake looked impressive as it tasted, yet the berry crisp was our favorite. Everything at dinner was so fabulous that I had to return, this time for brunch. We started with a couple of cups of our favorite Tandem coffee, again the gazpacho, and this time tried the ratatouille. Again, the flavors! How do they do it? Everything looked and tasted as if it was prepared with care. One more observation, how mistakes are handled: the person I had brunch with was vegan and the ratatouille came out with cheese. Our server promptly recognized the error, brought a remade dish, and at the end of the meal brought a complimentary vegan sorbet and said that "mistakes are celebrated", which we appreciated. Because of all of the much deserved accolades The Alna Store has recently received (James Beard, New York Times), the parking lot was full of out of state plates from Massachusetts, Maryland, Oregon, so be sure to make a reservation, and enjoy the people watching while you eat possibly the best meal of your life. We are so fortunate to live within an hour of this very special place. A solid five stars, please don't change a thing. I can't wait to try the fall menu!
