Super cute little bar if you're near here! Loved all the drinks we had, and service was great!

This is a great spot for live music. The Great: The live music The Good: nice vibe The Bad: They are so busy, service is slooowww The Ugly: OMG if you sit on the patio and not under an umbrella you WILL get pooped on. I think this is a place to not miss. Just come, tuck in, order a cocktail, people watch and listen to music. We only had the nachos which took a LONG time to come out and were fine for your basic nacho.

Every person we met in key west said to visit schooners! It was worth it - best fish taco of my life! Spicy blackened fish (lots of it) hit with jalapeño and the perfect spicy lunch with amazing live music. I topped my part of the fish taco with slaw and salsa and will ask for avocado next time - again, best fish taco ever!

Service and ambiance are fantastic. Food is just ok, not a big kitchen and felt like a lot of the food was fried from frozen. Stopped in after a fantastic charter because it was open, on the water, had a live performer and I was starving. We were told to grab any table and we were immediately greeted by Sparkles our server. Sparkles is a fantastic server! She was so friendly, on the spot, and efficient at her job. She definitely lives up to her name. Ordered the Key West shrimp and chips, friend ordered the coconut shrimp also featuring Key West shrimp and other friend ordered a burger with onion rings. Shrimp and chips first. Shrimp were really crispy but overcooked, fries were ok. Coconut shrimp was just ok with a mango sauce that didn't have much flavor. Burger was only half eaten if that tells you anything. View of the harbor is spectacular, live musician played the guitar well and had a good voice, and the service was fantastic. Major weak spot is the food thus the three stars.

Shari and I stopped in at the Schooner Wharf Bar at the Historical Wharf waterfront. The music is what drawer us in. The band was very good. It was an outside establishment and our waitress very friendly We both ordered sandwiches w Fries. I went with a seasoned chicken sandwich. There were birds and chickens walking around the restaurant floor Extremely interesting and Def memory maker

The drinks are to die for so far! The service is super sweet, helpful, and attentive. The energy is very beachy bar vibes!

I'm not impressed with this place. Other than the live music and Minimal Regatta that occurred during our two visits, I wouldn't return. The staff are not friendly, it takes forever to get a drink and everything is dirty. Additionally, when I attempted to cash out on both visits the server just put everyone's drinks at the table on my bill, even though I was the only one getting up to leave, WTF!!! That's why I prefer paying with CASH versus a credit card so they can't F**k me like they tried to, two separate times with two different servers. Don't bother ordering one of their fancier drinks. I ordered their Key West Mai Thai ($10.75) and it was served in a cheap ass Dixie cup. The drink was ok but the presentation I expected for a restaurant in Key West was quickly deflated when it showed up in a plastic cup. Pricing is average for the area. Bottled Beer will run you $6.25 - $7.50, Imported Beers start at $7.50, Draft Beers $4.75-$6.75, Wine anywhere between $9-$14 a glass. I have to admit, you can have a lot of fun here especially if you're here for an event happening in the area such as the Minimal regatta or to see some live music with dancing. Other than that, it will be difficult for me to recommend Schooner Wharf Bar to anyone, or to plan my own return during my next visit to Key West. There are a lot of better options for drinks and food in the area.

First place we grabbed food right off the plane. The boys wanted oysters real bad. Like 3 dozen bad. I ordered blackened snapper and it was really good. I ate it with the salad but it was too much for me. They have gigantic salads that you can order also. If you come here, please order the seafood dishes. Everything tastes fresh. It took a bit for our food to come out and our waitress forgot a couple things, but it was busy so u can't blame her. There was live music playing and a loud crowd so even if you weren't planning for anything, a good time will be had.

Stopped by for happy hour and was seriously impressed. The cold drinks hit the spot, especially on a warm day, and the prices are hard to beat. I also tried the coconut shrimp--absolutely delicious, crispy on the outside with just the right amount of sweetness. Happy hour here is definitely worth checking out. Great value, tasty food, and refreshing drinks. I'll be back!

Live music and beer, can't go wrong with that

Megan was amazing, super attentive and didn't even have to ask for anything she was already on top of it. 10/10 on the live music, loved the decor and location. Highly recommend! We ordered conch fritters as an app and it was so flavorful and delicious. Ordered the Mahi Mahi blackened and that right there is to die for. AMAZING. Cheers!

The food was delicious and came out fast! I loved the kettle chips with their honey mustard! We loved being right by the water and watching the boats. Our server was so sweet and attentive! Such a cool location with dollar bills and stickers everywhere

Good live music is their thing here!

This place is waterfront but once you're deep inside the innards of this very popular spot, you'll see no liquid except that in your plastic cup of $4-5 happy hour drink. They've got a wide selection of seafood and more served up on robust paper plates. Their servers are energetic, friendly, and harried. They're hustling. The live music is good, the drinks and food are reasonably priced, it's all fine. It was recommended by a friend as one of their fave KW spots. Another has since told me they love it, too. If I were to go again, it would be for the live music and drinks before or after dinner somewhere else. It's a classic KW dive, perfect for drinking and singing along, but better meals can be found nearby.

Keylime colada! A delicious milkshake of rum and goodness
    Dena G.

When in Key West, trying local eats and drinks is a must. My hubby and I dropped in to Schooner for a Key Lime Colada. I finally found an alcoholic beverage that my non-drinker husband really loves! We wound up sharing it, and I think we're gonna toast with them tomorrow night again. Schooner gets one star for a delicious beverage, another for friendly service, and a third for being right on the water. Unfortunately, there was a very bad smell that we could barely tolerate -- smelled like a dumpster -- and that knocked down the star level for me. It was a bad enough smell that we elected not to order anything to eat there. Atmosphere was lively and live music was cool. Food might be great, so try it yourself and see.

While I was checking it out, the bouncer at the bar next door told me it was worth a visit, which sealed the deal. Later that evening, I convinced my friends to go with me. They were expecting a full sit-down dinner, but this is more of a counter-service spot with 6-7 bar stools inside. The setup is simple: place your order at the counter, then either grab a stool or head to the bar next door, where they'll bring your food when it's ready. We chose the bar's patio, which gave us a clear view of the restaurant. It was reassuring to see other groups having their meals delivered over too--it felt like we had discovered the right local gem. The wait was about 25-30 minutes, but that only confirmed everything was being made fresh. And let me tell you, it was absolutely worth it. Our group ordered two jerk chicken plates with plantains, mac n' cheese, and slaw; one oxtail with black beans, rice, and mac n' cheese; and one jerk burger with fries. Every single dish was a hit. The jerk chicken had that perfect smoky spice and heat from the scotch bonnet peppers, balanced with bold Caribbean flavors. The oxtail was tender and flavorful, and even the sides like mac n' cheese and plantains stood out. All in all, this was easily one of the best Caribbean meals I've had anywhere. A true must try when in Key West.
