The first visit a couple months back was positive. Been back 3 times since, and have left without food everytime. The food (when I had it) was good, but their kitchen can't handle their business load. I won't be getting food from here again, until they begin to accept online or phone orders. Tired of wating my time waiting for food. Plus the parking just stinks. read more

We really wanted poutine so we decided go try this place and it was awesome. They had great pizza options too, everything we ate was delicious and I was really happy they offer cocktails too. Food and beer were excellent but the ambiance was so bad we will not go back unless they make a big change! There were so many ill mannered children that it ruin our experienc! Horrible parenting allowing children to run through the Brewery screaming pounding on the heat lamps like they were drums, running through the parking lot and over taking the restaurant! We literally felt like we were at Chucky Cheese! This is a bar and no place for us to get away from all this disrespectful behavior. Good selection of beers and ciders. Ordered pizza but wouldn't go back for that again. Maybe we'll try something else. Ordered a 4 topping pizza and it was almost $30 for a small 12". The entire pizza had 4 pepperoni pieces 4 sausage pieces a few onion slivers and 8 small pineapple chunks. There were many bites that only had cheese. Very skimpy on their high priced ingredients. Overall, pizza sucked. My friend had Wings and those were great. Sandwiches looked really good also. Fun atmosphere and service was good. They have a great patio that would be great to bring your furry friend to hang out and have some drinks and wings but unfortunately they are pet unfriendly. I have really enjoyed having a local brewery and location for great food and family friendly right down the street. Great selection of beers excited to see more of their own brews coming on tap. The best tater tots I think I have ever had along with a wonderful large soft pretzel with great beer cheese or Gorgonzola cheese dip! Very nice setup! Revision Blonde was fresh and went well with pizza. We ordered the Wild West pizza. I give it 2.5 out of 4 stars as it was a bit too much on there. With the sausage off its a 3 out of 4 for me. Single counter ordering a bit slow at getting a second beer but I see from another review this will change. You do have to walk to get the pizza but was far from exausted by the walk as other posters noted. We will be back when its cooler out to check out the upper deck! read more

Staff was inattentive, dining room was not clean; crumbs, straw wrappers, etc. Children were unattended in a brewery, obviously a parental issue but staff did not consider other patrons by asking parents to do their job! Glasses, plates, etc., were being carried back and forth; someone could've been hurt, either by slipping on spilled drinks and/or broken glass or staff, by having to clean up broken glass, etc. People shouldn't have full hands, trying to maneuver around unattended children in a bar type environment read more

Since Yelp does not allow you to respond to the business when they have a rebuttal, I will leave my rebuttal here in an updated review. 1. You do not have a "tap room". You have a bar area that is 21 and up, and it is part of the main area, with absolutely no separation, other than a couple of useless velvet ropes. Even if you sit in the "tap room", there is still a cacophony of sound from your large child-friendly area: An area where children are encouraged to scream, play on your playground-esque toys, throw things, and run through the aisles doing all previously mentioned behaviors. I guess if my children behaved the way these kids do, I would need to drink too... 2. We were outside (to escape said cacophony) and the staff did turn on the heaters (eventually). The direct heat from a propane torch is not equivalent to sitting inside in a more centrally-heated environment. Sure, one tit is warm, but the other is cold af, begging for a warm hand. 3. Nothing to say about spending $70 before tip on a pizza, two beers, and an appetizer? Ok... The value is nowhere near the cost, the screaming breeder's spawn notwithstanding. Easily the best pizza in South Reno. It's so amazing that it is difficult to find parking in the evening. However, don't let that discourage you. When you get in, the food, drinks and outstanding service make you understand why there is such a draw towards this establishment. read more

We went there twice. The first time we had a beer ( good) and the turkey club. The sandwich was so so. We went back a second time and the beer was still okay. We had pizza and wings. Pizza and beer are good! I struggle with the model of ordering all your food and drink at the front and then have to go get it when it's ready. The music pauses every 30 seconds announcing someone's food is ready which can be annoying. When I'm ready for a second drink the line isn't worth standing in to get another so I just don't. I'm fine doing the first order up front but I'd suggest finding a way to order additional drinks and food after the first round from the table. Will likely order to go in the future which is a bummer because the beer is good. read more

The food is amazing the service is great, and the owners are amazing. By chance I was eating here one night and happened to be sitting next to the owners. They were very kind and willing to have a wonderful conversation with me. The pizza amazing, the tots and ranch amazing and the environment can't be beat. So as beer guy, I am always excited and optimistic when a new brewery opens doors. Schüssboom was long awaited. There was hype. There were delays. This created more hype. Then they opened, but without any of their own brews. (Sigh) (Sigh again) Then, heard they have their own beers on tap... So now it was time for me to check this place out. Beers? Mmmm, not bad. But with more competitive brews locally.... Food was excellent though...that's an after thought for this beer guy. But still held promise. Back a few months later with some new Schüssboom beers on tap. And wow! Beers are now a threat to other local brewers. Beer bait, pillow drops and IPAprés all have award winning potential. And the food? Still insanely delicious! The Schüss Poutine is out of this world. I fondly recall days getting convenient store poutine in Canada (don't judge me) and then seeing the gourmet versions pop up at the likes of Depot only be dropped from the menu. But Schüssboom is clearly after my business! And they'll get it (don't drop poutines ) It extremely difficult, maybe even double diamond difficult to deliver great food and great beer, but Schüssboom is shredding this run! Schussboom just opened their doors and I expect this place will do very well! Excellent ambiance. Ample bar and bar side space as well as generous dining areas with bench style seating. You order at the front and your name is called for the food. Food: we had pizzas, fries, and the "sticky yaki" wings. The pizzas were awesome! We had the Wild West, the Go-to, and a meatball that were all very good and an excellent crust...honey available as well! The garlic parm fries didn't last very long at all! Enough said :) They will be serving their own brews there soon! They are not ready yet. But, in the meantime, they have an excellent assortment of local brews available on tap! A huge plus is a children's area with a large Magnatile play table and cowboy saddle! Awesome touch!! We will be going back regularly! Locally owned and off to a great start! read more

Great customer service. After the issue at BJ's we were rather irritated so this was a nice surprise. Unique menu options but in a very good way. Pretzel was soft and the beer cheese was delicious. Salad was fresh with lots of flavor and the pizza was delicious. 15 minutes from walking in the door we had all of our food and our drinks. Very flavorful. Great selection of brews. Visited on a Sat night around 5:30pm and the place was packed. Ended up finding room upstairs on outside patio. Seemed like it wasn't an important place as no service to clean up previous patrons. Got some brews, including a flight, that were very tasty. Ended up ordering a basic pizza. Thought it could have used a couple more minutes of cooking as it was a bit on the doughy side. Going to have to give the pizza another shot, as I feel they were overwhelmed that night. read more

New favorite bar hangout! Fantastic beer menu, i saw so many different beers I wanted to try I can't wait to go back and try more. The pizza we ordered was delicious one of the better pizzas i've had in town. Only complaint is that I thought they were going to either call my name for the order or bring it to the table and my beer ended up sitting on the counter for quite some time before i realized i had to go retrieve it myself. Maybe they did call my name but I didn't hear it as it was quite loud in there. We also did a shot ski which was fun and recruited the bartender as our fourth wheel, he was a good sport. Food is great, especially the pizza. Very good. The beer is very good as well! Not really feeling the business model with regard to placing your order at the bar and picking up your own food. Been there twice now and hardly got to enjoy the time with my guests because we had to place our own orders (2 trips to the bar), go to a separate area to get waters for our table, then place a food order (another trip to the bar) and then 3 separate trips to the kitchen counter to pickup the food and bring it to our table. And you've got to get your own plates, condiments, toppings, napkins, etc. I feel like I'm working as a server the whole time when I, like most people, come out to restaurants to enjoy the company of our friends or family. Wasn't really sure what to expect from this establishment. At first take, it's gorgeous. The building, the details, everything looks like it was taken into such careful consideration. I'm just not sure what "style" they're going for. It is first come first serve basis, the dining area has a lot of long tables so you end up sitting with groups of people you don't know. (Which is fine if you like screaming kids) but when we arrived there were multiple birthday parties, which to my surprise were kids parties? As a mom of 2 kids i can appreciate an establishment that is kid friendly, and serves beer, but to have groups of 20+ people celebrating kids birthday parties at a brewery... it's just interesting that that's where people would like to go. They have a "kids area" where kids are running a muck, unsupervised. There were things like jenga for them to play, but we noticed more kids trying to climb window sills and walls more than anything else. Their food was mediocre at best. Their wings were soggy and fatty, my daughter even ordered them plain and they look super crispy but the chicken meat is rubbery. I tried the Thai wings and the sauce was incredible, but again, the chicken meat itself was hard to eat. Their pizzas were pretty basic as well. There was 1 girl walking around helping clear tables as people ate and finished up, which was really nice because personally i hate sitting at a table having a conversation with 1/2 eaten pizza and trash everywhere. Overall this establishment has great potential, the food could be turned up a notch, and something different needs to be done with the family dining area. But if you're looking to get drunk while your kid runs free and screams in everyone's faces as they go by, then this is the place for you. read more
