I've been using Sclafani for three years for oil delivery. I haven't signed a contract with them, but call them when I need a delivery, and, without fail, they come the next morning without issue. I have always found their staff to be 100% kind and willing to help, so I'm shocked reading some of the reviews (no doubt there were some sort of issues somewhere, but how were the issues handled by the customer as well - sometimes, people don't realize that problems can be handled in a kind manner without causing offense to the human beings on the other end of the phone line). Most recently, on a Sunday, there was a fire in the boiler that shouldn't have happened (a different company did a chimney sweep and supposedly cleaned out the burner). The big fear was that boiler would have to be replaced. However, Wayne came out here first thing in the morning and got to work on the situation and gave me the best news ever: the people who cleaned it didn't do it right. That was much better than hearing I might need a new boiler. He really spent time making sure everything was good to go, and there wasn't even any kind of mess when he left. I will continue using Sclafani because: 1. If you're uneasy about contracts, they don't attempt to force the issue on you like other companies in the area. 2. Their staff has always been helpful. 3. They deliver oil quickly, when you need it, and whatever amount you request. 4. They were able to send someone out immediately when a major issue took place and knew the value of making sure I had hot water. read more

I have used Sclafani for the past several years, and have always been pleased with their willingness to help and be of service. I recommend them to others who want this kind of reliable service. Oh..one more thing...Their prices have been consistently lower than many other Oil Companies in the area! That is a real plus! I have used a couple oil companies, Sclafani has had the best pricing. I started using them for propane delivery about 2 years ago and they have been giving .5 off per gallon of both oil and propane. They've always delivered when they said they would, usually within a day of ordering. I like that i control my delivery and am not tied to their schedule. They've been around a long time, unlike those fly by night companies that shut down after a year or two and reopen under another name, leaving you holding the bag. I know every company will have unhappy customers and i see their comments here but I've experienced very competitive prices and prompt service, which is what I'm looking for from a company. read more

My husband Sal Altavilla has been doing business with Sclafani for more than 6 years. They are honest, trustworthy and responsive. Whenever we agree on a price, Sclafani honors that price. Recently the cost of home heating oil has come down substantially, however in past years when the price of oil was skyrocketing my husband locked in at a price, and on more than one occasion by the time of delivery oil prices went up. Never, ever was he charged at the higher rate. One call and they are here for any sort of emergency. We would never consider changing companies. After testing the boiler they cleaned up the place, so that after they left everything was the same, except for a shiny brand new boiler! Both my parents and I have been customers for 25+years. We have never had an issue with Sclafani. The staff is always courteous and willing to help. My Mom is elderly and has on several occasions ran out of oil. Sclafani's service was prompt and the issue resolved. In addition, I spoke with him about the age of the current boiler (about 38-39 Yrs.) and have thoughts about replacing it next spring. Very Responsive Competitive pricing Always professional on Phone The only issue I have run into just occurred, and that was an online request I made did not get received. We have been getting oil from Sclafani Oil for a couple of years, and we haven't had any problems with them. We have never run out of oil. They charge everything to our credit card so we don't have to do any work to pay the bill. Very convenient. read more
