Found these guys on Yelp and honestly so glad I did. It's coming up on a year with them and zero…read morecomplaints. They do our weekly maintenance and also installed a pool heater for us, and both experiences were just seamless. They're efficient, professional, and really nice. Never try to upsell you on stuff you don't need; they just tell you what's actually necessary and get it done. Love that. They come the same time every week, every time. Half the time we don't even know they've been here, which is honestly the dream. Easy to get in touch with, and they have great contacts if you need anything else done too. Just a really well-run company with good people. Highly recommend.

We operate several Airbnb properties in the area with pools and spas, and having a reliable service team is absolutely critical. Master Geek has never disappointed. Their cleanings are consistently thorough, their support is incredibly responsive, and their repair work is always professional and done right. There have been multiple situations where they stepped in quickly and saved us during tight guest turnarounds. Before finding them we went through several other pool services that were unreliable and frankly terrible. Since switching to Master Geek, everything has been smooth and dependable. If you need a pool and spa team that shows up, communicates well, and takes pride in their work, I could not recommend them more highly. They have been one of the best service partners we have for our properties.

Thank God for Alec! I thought I had an issue with my pool pump and was freaking out as it appeared…read morethere was no water going through it. Alec showed up first thing this morning and took a look at it. He went through everything with me. He showed me I did have water in my pump it was just clear and I couldn't see it. So thankful that he took the time to ease my anxiety and explain. Everything to me. This is exactly why I use McKinneys pool service. With people like Alec, you know the best people in the business are taking care of you! Thank you, Alec. And thank you McKinney Pool Service!

Zero follow-up, zero urgency, and forced to do their job for them!…read more I delayed writing this review because I truly believe in supporting local small businesses. However, I can no longer stay silent while this company completely disregards my concerns, ignores suggestions, and refuses to communicate effectively. We hired McKinney's to install a brand-new pool filter and pump on June 10. Immediately after installation, we noticed the pump did not work. The technician confirmed it was defective and told us he completed a warranty claim. A week went by with absolute silence from both McKinney's and the manufacturer, Pentair. When my husband texted to follow up, McKinney's apologized and recommended we contact Pentair ourselves to help speed up the process. We spent hours/days being sifted through Pentair's faulty automated system and being repeatedly hung up on. When we emailed McKinney's management team to explain that we were getting nowhere and desperately needed their help, they completely ignored the email. My husband kept texting them, only to receive the same repetitive excuse: "the Pentair rep is out of town." With the 4th of July rapidly approaching, I called the office myself. I spoke to Bobby, shared my immense frustration, and explained that we had an upcoming holiday pool party. I told him that since we already paid for a working product and service we didn't receive, the right thing to do was for McKinney's to replace the pump themselves and handle the defect on the back end. Bobby assured me this was a top priority, claimed the owner was in a meeting, and promised a callback to see if the owner approved. I never heard back. Days later, My husband and I left back-to-back voicemails. No response. Finally, this morning, I called their new customer line just to get a human to answer since our voicemails weren't being returned when selecting the "returning customer" option of their automated intake call system. I spoke with Kevin, re-explained everything, and again asked for a new pump installed and the defective one removed. Once again, I was told the owner was in a "meeting" but that Kevin would call me back in 30 to 60 minutes. Surprise--no callback. And instead I received a text over 3 hours later saying he would call me in the morning after speaking with the owner (which at this point, I have zero confidence in that taking place, hence this review.) Frustrated, I did my own research, saw hundreds of similar complaints about Pentair, and decided to take matters into my own hands. I filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), started a claim with the Attorney General, and emailed Pentair's corporate executive board and CEO directly. To my shock, the CEO of a multi-billion-dollar company emailed me back within an hour, apologized, made it a priority, and had senior directors calling me with their pool service techs for info on the pump installed to expedite the claim to fix it. My absolute disappointment with McKinney's lies in the fact that I feel they placed 100% of the responsibility on the customer and added massive amounts of stress to our lives by also not returning our calls/email or following up with this matter. They demonstrated zero urgency. Why couldn't McKinney's office staff or customer service reps take the time to make these calls/emails on our behalf, especially since they submitted the initial claim and we paid them in full already. It is shameful that the CEO of a global corporation contacted me before the owner of this local business ever did. Because of McKinney's complete lack of a contingency plan for it's customers when random defects happen, I had to cancel our annual 4th of July pool party with out-of-town guests, cancel my toddler's swim lessons, and experience daily anxiety watching my pool turn filthy and green while I acted as the front-runner doing what I felt like should have been their job. So tomorrow will officially be day 28, without a working pump. If we ever get our new pump, we will never use this company again after this experience and deeply regret not just going with another company like Leslie's Pool Supplies. To the owner: you need a better plan for when defective equipment is installed than making your paying customers wait weeks for a representative to come back from vacation. Overall, this company has shown that it is FAR from "eager to go the extra mile" for its customers.
