Tried a new place for breakfast. Taking out a family of 6 can be challenging for any location so we decided to put Scrambled to the test. The food overall was great-no complaints. We had a variety of both adult and kids options. Service started out strong as we were seated quickly-received our drinks fast-and food came out in a reasonable time. But that's where I would not give them a 5 start review but more of a 3 star. We waited quite a while hoping to get our check. They only had two servers and ours was pulled away to take orders at the door-so after waiting and waiting we finally asked another server for our check and to go boxes which came out really quick. A table next to us that came a good 15min after arrived received everything including to go boxes and check long before us when we were clearly done. O really we would definitely Italy come back as it has a very comfortable vibe, making you feel at home. read more

First time visiting a restaurant out in Bakersfield and I'm glad it was Scrambled. Their customer service was great. They were very welcoming and communicated very well regarding our expected wait time. They are very popular, so a wait time was expected. Despite being small, the restaurant is very clean and cute. You're not overwhelmed by their aesthetic and that's very refreshing. The food was perfect. I ordered the red chilaquiles with steak and I'm glad I did. My waitress warned me that they were spicy, I'm happy to say that she was correct. Usually restaurants claim a dish to be "spicy" and don't deliver. The meat portion was decent and actually seasoned, not just a cooked piece of meat added to my dish. I was very satisfied with my order. They made sure our coffee was refilled and made great recommendations for the people at my table that were very indecisive. Although it was very busy (10am on a Sunday), there was no wait time for our party of 4 to be seated and waited on. The staff was very friendly and efficient. We got our food very quickly, the drinks were always being filled, and everything was accurate. The menu selection is great. There are a lot of items I definitely want to go back to try. We had chicken and waffles, a California omelet, and a short stack of pancakes. The waffles were tasty, but the chicken seems like literal frozen chicken tenders. Came here for breakfast this morning and wasn't disappointed. As you walk in you're greeted right away, it's really cute inside. They play music and you can watch what's playing on the tv. My husband had the verde HUEVOS RANCHEROS, and I had their PAPAS CON CHORIZO SCRAMBLE. Both didn't come with toast, so we had to order toast on the side. Oh I also asked for a side of verde on the side to put on my scrambler and oh boy I'm glad I did!If you like spicy, it had just the right amount. Not too much, just right! Mid November: First timers here! Traveling through Bakersfield and stopped here for breakfast today. The food and service was superb! Our meals included fried eggs, omelette, pancakes, hashbrowns, country potatoes, sausage and toast. We enjoyed our breakfast with fresh and deliciously prepared food. I've eaten here a half dozen times now and keep coming back. Very friendly staff and they're starting to remember my order preferences I eat here so often. The food is prepared quickly and always cooked to perfection. They have amazing pancakes, which are on special I believe on Wednesdays for just $7.99 (pricing as of August 2025). I sometimes go low carb, which they make easy but allowing substitutions, for example sub toast and potatoes for cottage cheese and tomato slices, no up charge! Another great thing about this restaurant is that they don't use oil to cook their eggs, instead they cook them in butter. So if you're trying to avoid seed oils this restaurant is a great choice. The place is always clean and well lit, even when there's a short wait they seem to get you seated quickly. Plenty of free parking and there's a Tesla charging station at the hotel next door only 100 feet away. read more

They even accommodated my request to have half beans and half country potatoes. My friend had the Sunshine breakfast which had all his favorite meats and pancakes. He really enjoyed it. The food is good. I had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was lacking flavor and texture. I didn't like it much. The waffles were great. The were light and fluffy, cooked very well. Next time I'll just order the Waffles. The eggs were cooked perfectly sunny side up. They were also very fresh or farm eggs. The eggs were delicious. The potatoes were a bit soft, like they were boiled or microwaved first then fried, which allows you to get them out faster but they don't get crisp. The potatoes had a different seasoning than I'm used to for country potatoes but I liked it a lot. The veggies were very fresh and cooked very well. Not to hard but not over cooked and mushy! Overall everything was plentiful and very well cooked. My kids had the chicken taco salad and the Chili Verde Burrito. Both of them liked what they had and would order it again. My wife's food was decent, my steak was seasoned and cooked well. The potatoes were actually very good, my niece and nephews chilaquilles were drowned in salsa and very soggy. Eggs are eggs and so are sausages. Now, the hash browns were overly greasy and overcooked. I'm not crazy about greasy food so it was hard to eat it all.
