Mainstay Guac Sandwich with breakfast potatoes.
    Pete G.

A really unique. Nd enjoyable breakfast place in downtown Seward. I got the excellent Mainstay Guac Sandwich (guacamole/bacon/egg/pepper jack cheese on ciabatta panini). Wonderful crunchy exterior and soft interior and tons of flavor. It comes with their breakfast potatoes, which are delicious soft red new potatoes in butter. A simple approach in some ways, but so much tastier than those boring fried breakfast potatoes that everyone else serves. They do get backed up with the coffee drinks when they get a rush - my coffee drink came 10 minutes after I finished my sandwich.

We are on vacation in Seward and we're hungry and looking for a snack/coffee. I looked on Yelp for a coffee spot and this establishment popped up. We ordered 2 - 12 oz mochas. We ordered our coffee from a disinterested clerk. While waiting we saw some tomato/mozzarella snacks and order one. While the mochas were delicious, the tomato/mozzarella snack left us flat. The barista was friendly and pleasant however. We asked if the business had been here long, the barista joked it was a brothel, but the plaque said it was a commercial buildij All in all an ok place to stop, but nothing special.

Breakfast panini with ham/eggs/cheese and potatoes/salsa.

Cute little place we stopped at for breakfast. Not a huge menu but a number of options and a GF bread option as well. The sandwiches are bread heavy- while not Wildly widely sliced, they are thick and very dry. They need a sauce or schmear or something to help get it down. The eggs were way over done and brown. That said the flavor of the bread was good and it's the start of a great sandwich. The potatoes were cooked well but VERY greasy, but tasty lol. It's a cute place and has a decent amount of seating, and a large coffee selection as well.

This was my first meal upon arriving in Alaska and I left so unsatisfied and disappointed. It was only then that I realized that I probs should be expecting this much in terms of the food scene in Seward. I ordered the lox plate to split with a friend, which is essentially a deconstructed bagel. We paid $18 for 2 thin slices of lox, a sad looking bagel and Philadelphia cream cheese in a container. It came with capers, cucumbers, sliced red onions and tomatoes. I tried moving around the tomatoes to masquerade how little lox we were given. Also ordered an ice coffee and that was just very mediocre. My friends ordered smoothies and smoothie bowls and those were probs a little more worth it, but you really can't go wrong with those.

The coffee fall selections were great - we got the pumpkin pie latte and gingerbread latter, bother very tasty and quickly made. The coffee shop was decorated with cool seaside decor. The cinnamon bun was SO GOOD. 10/10 would come back and recommend to others

Stopped in for a quick breakfast on the way out of town. I ordered the ham and tomato quiche and my partner ordered the Sea Anchor burrito. Both were really well prepared and came out quickly. The burrito came with some AMAZING potatoes that I wish I had :( Also ordered a latte and sludge, both were as expected. We ordered two baked goods for the road- a cinnamon cruffin for my honey and a orange scone for me. Again both were tasty and as expected. Atmosphere was pleasant, but nothing spectacular. Prices were a little on the high end, I suppose that's to be expected in Seward. I'll check this place out again for consistency to determine if they deserve 5 stars or not.

This place was a staple in our stay. It was a bit inconsistent but staff were always pleasant, food was good, and coffee was good. The LSD smoothie gave me life after a night out in Seward with the locals. We liked their bagels better than other places in Seward.

An intimate little coffee house with lunch items and home-made baked goods. We particularly liked the smoked salmon chowder, which was both tasty and full of fish. The buddha bowl, the ham & Swiss twist, and the mayflower panini sandwich were all fine but not special. The chocolate cup-cakes were tasty, but the white frosting on top was excessively sweet. But what I really liked about the Sea-Bean was the atmosphere - homey and peaceful, a good place to sit and read, or work on your computer, or have a conversation. The staff was friendly, the physical set-up nice (tables and chairs for lunch, sofas and armchairs for hanging out).

This was an ok-ish cafe. The service is sloppy which can be expected at a place like this even though they weren't short staffed. Had to call them to clean the table since most of them were busy checking their phones behind the counter. A while later, I noticed a staff entering the restroom and then exiting it leaving the door open. I felt terrible for the people sitting right outside the door and dining. We came here around lunchtime to grab a quick bite which was a big mistake. Food was awful, sea bean bowl had no flavor whatsoever, the lox plate was alright, although it was more like a deconstructed bagel sandwich. Don't come here for the food, it's not worth your money. Coffee and other drinks are not bad. For the price and service that they provide this place is not worth stopping by.

The food here is not very fast but has an extensive menu. However, I was sadly disappointed by the lack of flavor in my ham avocado sandwich h. The

Cute little shop in Seward with good coffee and a collection of old National Geographics. We had a couple of breakfast burritos, a slice of salmon pie, a pepperoni croissant, and a smoothie bowl to share. It was all delicious. We plan to eat here again before our trip is over.

Love this place! Second time to Seward this year and not much else was open for breakfast. Nice menu, but service was great. Very accommodating to a few of my kids weird requests (like a small bowl of melted butter for his bagel-weird kid) . Bagels are chewy and good and the lox are excellent. Thank you Sea Bean, well be back!

Really cute and spacious cafe in downtown Seward! Came here for breakfast before a boat tour. They have lots of coffee options and loose leaf teas, plus a decent breakfast menu and pastries. I ordered an earl grey tea and the breakfast wrap with ham (you can also get it with bacon instead). The Sea Bean was pretty busy with lots of customers constantly streaming in. It took a long time to get my order. My tea took a long time. It's tea, which really doesn't need much prep other then putting the loose leaves in the tea bag and providing some hot water. And the barista called my earl grey at first but had made a mistake and it was someone else's English breakfast tea. I didn't get my tea until 10 minutes after I ordered. Since I ordered it for here, I got it in a mug and with a teapot with more hot water. My food took forever to get. I got my wrap 30 minutes after I ordered. And I saw people who ordered after me get their food before me. I had to ask one of the servers to check on my food and she came back to tell me it was on the grill now, which means they either forgot my order or gave mine to someone else (even though they give you a numcrr after you order at the counter). Otherwise why want my order on the grill 25 minutes ago? By the time I finally got my food, I didn't have much time left because I had to check in for my boat tour. I wolfed down my wrap, which was nothing special. The potatoes were not bad, but were a little bland. I asked for a to go cup so I could take my tea to go. I really wanted to like this place - it's got a cute theme and the staff is pretty nice. But it takes too long. My recommendation if you want to eat here is come early or don't come on a morning that you have plans to be somewhere at a specific time.

They told us that they have fresh caught ones and can do a halibut burger quickly . I must say it was one of the most delicious fish Ive had, so soft, lighlt spiced and done! Tldr During my travels in Alaska, i had the chance to stay in cooper's landing. Its a pristine area with stunning lake, views and even moose sightings. Only on my last day did i take a chance to visit Sunrise Inn. Though we originally planned to do have the breakfast there, we had reached late and it was time for lunch.. Im reminded of one of the staff who was a native of Kodiak Island and insisted that if at all, we planned to travel to kodiak, we should consult her :) . Hopefully that comes true one day Till then.. cheers!

We stopped in today on the way back from Homer. We knew they had been up for sale for some time,…read moreand our server confirmed it was now under new management. The menu was different but I was happy to see they still had the chicken wrap on there. It went downhill from then. I asked for a Gold Medal Chicken Wrap, with crispy chicken (ranch was not an option, previously it was my go-to choice) you could have hot wings sauces, or honey BBQ - and this is my bad, I initially thought that it said honey mustard, so I said honey mustard. It came with a choice of tater tots onion rings or fries. I chose tater tots, but changed my mind to fries. Husband just ordered a piece of carrot cake. I was very disappointed with this wrap, not just in comparison to the wrap that used to be available, but just as a wrap being offered by a restaurant in general. The honey bbq sauce (I had asked for some on the side, to dip it into) was red. And I couldn't taste any BBQ smokiness. It was very tomatoey. I queried about my honey-mustard error, and she showed me the menu, and that mistake was definitely on me. I asked if she had some ranch I could use as a dip, and was brought some. So anyway, the wrap - loosely wrapped and quite floppy, and warm, as though it had been grilled or broiled, which rendered the lettuce leaf and tomato slice warm, limp and floppy. The previous wrap from Sunrise, and most other wraps in restaurants where I've had them, will serve an unwarmed tortilla with raw crunchy vegetables. The Sunrise previously did so - lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced red onion, shredded cheese, julienned carrots and crispy chicken in a cool creamy ranch dressing, it was a tightly wrapped, crunchy delight, and out of this world. I recommended it to anyone passing that way. The best thing I have to say about this one, is that there was plenty of chicken and it was tender. There was too much of the honey bbq sauce in it though, and the chicken wasn't crispy anymore, the breading had gone very soggy. It was a disappointment. As were the tater tots, when I had requested fries. The server was pleasant enough, and I tipped her well, but I wasn't happy with the food at all. Won't be returning anytime soon
