Sea Salt + Basil is a small corporate eatery serving up a mix of breakfast, sandwiches, wraps, and salads. I tried the California Chicken Wrap, and it was delicious, especially with the side of pasta salad that came with it. At under $11, the price was hard to beat. The flavor was decent, but I do wish there was a bit more chicken. After a few bites, it started feeling like I was eating mostly tortilla and lettuce. For the price, though, it's hard to complain--it's a solid budget-friendly option. I'd definitely go back to try their breakfast menu or one of their salads, but if I'm really craving a sandwich or wrap with a bit more substance, I might explore other options.

PARKING: is not convenient. There is a garage close by but you will need to pay $2 per 15 min. They do not validate. If you do not want to pay, walking from the closest free parking area will take about 10-15min. FOOD: Delicious food and good value. Everyone in my group was happy with the sandwiches they ordered. I got the Tocino chicken sandwich which came with a small serving of pasta salad. When I compared the amount of pasta salad to other plates, my serving was a little skimped. But overall for about $11 the meal was satisfying. ATMOSPHERE: most seating would be outside. For a California winter day, it was pretty windy and chilly in front of the building but there are additional tables on the side of the building that was nice and sunny. It's a peaceful and calm area. Overall, it was a great first time experience with a good meal with friends. Free parking may not be convenient, but I've accepted it as something to work for while saving a couple bucks.

Abe is awesome! Vita is awesome! Excellent service with great food options to match. Food is always fresh and it's a very convenient location. Always a pleasure eating here. Thank you!

Best tasting breakfast and lunch meal we have! Everything freshly made! You can taste the freshness of the veggies in the paninis! The staff are amazingly nice! Did I mention it is so much more affordable than the food courts at the Spectrum? Just few walking steps from Spectrum and you got an even better options for food and you can eat here daily without breaking the bank!!! Must try and you will keep coming back for sure! The food is so delicious here! Vida recommended the Tocino chicken avocado sandwich. The sandwich is perfect, so tasty, warm, 10/10! Abe also let me try the sea salt + basil açaí smoothie, 10/10 also! Seriously the best smoothie. Super nice staff, close to all offices here at the Irvine spectrum! Come see them!

Little eatery on the lobby floor of office building across street from spectrum. Came here because it was 10:30am and it seems like many lunch places at the spectrum don't open until 11. The places I yelped that opened before 11 were not rated well so I opted for this place. Great and friendly service. My tomato bisque came out super hot and tasted great. Bf's chicken and pesto panini was delicious. Neat place

The two sandwiches on the right (Bagnat and chicken salad) came with a different bread that they had on the menu and it didn't match at all.

They're dishonest with ingredients and they keep your money. I ordered three sandwiches: 1- Pan Bagnat Sandwich: The description clearly says it comes with brioche. Both pictures on Doordash and their website show a nicely toasted brioche. It came with a very soft and not toasted white sliced bread (or cheap sourdough sliced). Look at the photo. And it wasn't good. 2- Napa Cranberry Chicken Salad Sandwich: In this case, the description says it comes with wheat ciabatta. The picture shows a ciabatta too. Again it came with white sliced bread (or cheap sourdough sliced) that didn't match it at all. Look at the photo. This wasn't good either. It barely had any dried cranberry or celery and it was tasteless. 3- Ham Croissant Sandwich: This was at least the same as the description and tasted okay. I also ordered 4 apples. They told the driver to tell me they're out. They never refunded me. The switcheroo on the breads was annoying for two reasons. First it didn't match the sandwich. Second, I'm diabetic, and when I saw the chicken salad comes with wheat ciabatta, I got happy cause wheat is much better for diabetic people. But I got white.

Great service and a good place for a quick bite. The folks that work in the building can order online and come down to pick it up ready to go. Good vibe , mostly locals. The paninis are great an so are the salads

Breakfast burrito and blueberry MUFFINS - BLUEBERRY

I had the breakfast burrito and it was the best tasting burrito I've had in the area! Being from San Diego I know good breakfast burrito and this place had that, without feeling like it was drenched in cooking oil. I'll definitely be back. I also had a blueberry muffin and that was delicious! Service was 5/5 they were able to serve me minutes after 11am, great service and mellow. Not too busy at 11:30am so ambiance was chill!

come to try the new Ice drink! it is amazing! it is so good and better than Starbucks

We come here for breakfast almost daily - 5 days a week for sure. Normally we're here and there are…read moreat most 3-4 other tables filled at 8-9am. Today was completely full at 10am and a line out the door. Paging people through their text when tables were ready. So let's do a critical review of the "stress test" which cost us $23.81 for two people. The person at the podium in front took our name and my cell number to text us when ready. The line for ordering was out the door but the system paged us and said "your table is ready" so we waited in line outside the front door for 10 minutes and finally transitioned to the inside line which took another 10 minutes to order. I would say that the timing of when the system texts you needs some work. We ordered a Classic Breakfast with CRISPY bacon, home potatoes, multi-grain toast, a side of pork sausage and a cappuccino. The enclosed receipt does not accurately reflect what we ordered. The bacon was floppy and not fully cooked. The home potatoes were not done and soggy. The sausage was dry and tasted old. The cappuccino was perfect. So I would say that this Poached Kitchen location, compared to our prior experience of things done perfectly, failed the "stress test" - when tables and lines were full, it could not deliver it's normal well-prepared meals. They also failed to check back at the table which is a standard service item they have observed for many months. Of course new people still in training can account for alot of this kind of experience. We detected new people we had not seen before. We generally consider management accountable for ensuring that new employees are properly trained. We have not seen the food preparation break down before. This was a first but then we've never seen this many people lined up waiting for tables. Of course all kinds of things go on simultaneously that stress the system.... to go orders from online sources, people trying to box their leftovers, etc. Poached has a whole team of people who just worry about clearing tables, setting up tables with water, etc. This of course allows higher turnover and better utilization along with better customer service. Our takeaway today is: don't come to poached kitchen when it's packed....come earlier before 8am. and notice they serve lunch as well.

The brunch menu was limiting, with only a few egg dishes, sandwiches, and breads. The French toast and waffle were nearly $20 each despite the small portions and standard toppings. *French Toast: the worst item of the meal. The bread had no flavor or egginess and left a strange sandy mouthfeel. The interior was so dry that it soaked up all the moisture in my mouth. A poor showing for a classic French toast. *Waffle: the batter was slightly sweetened but felt too dense. The fruit was fresh, although nothing about the toppings or overall quality stood out. *Steak Frites: hanger steak topped with chimichurri and fries. It was supposed to come with bernaise sauce, but I did not receive any. The steak leaned closer to rare rather than the medium rare I asked for. However, it was still tender, and the chimichurri was vibrant and herbaceous. I wished more sauce had been applied, as the dish was a bit dry. The fries were decent, though I would have preferred more crunch. Given the long wait, I expected much more from the dishes in terms of flavor and execution. I was disappointed by how flavorless and dry everything was.

We got a smattering of food - there were a bunch of delicious options, which makes it difficult when you're indecisive like me. Breakfast burger - this was amazing. There's a cool Japanese "tornado" egg on it, which is really nice, texture-wise. Much better than just slapping an over-easy on top. Flavor was great. Bacon was great. This was one of my favorites. Tuna melt - I love tuna melts so I'll always order if I find one on a menu. This one was good. Like actual prepared tuna with kewpie. Definitely elevated from your typical diner fare. Also came with a side of sweet pickles - great to cut through the richness. Pork belly bowl - this is for you rice bowl lovers. Nice cuts of pork belly with a sesame sauce, delicious stewed kimchi, and Japanese style potato salad. Better than your typical bowls that just slap a bunch of things on top of rice. There's nice thought going into this dish and the stewed kimchi really packs that extra punch. Apple burrata salad - nice and light. With everything else we ordered being hearty, the salad offered a nice way to cut through the richness. Creamy burrata on apple slices with tomatoes. Bright flavors with the silkiness of the cheese to bind it all together. Truffle tots - get the tots. Top tier. Fresh, airy, and crispy. Get the truffle oil. Croissants - how many places actually make their croissants in-house nowadays? We got a few to go and devoured them later in the day. Flakey exterior with soft buttery goodness inside. Legit stuff. Delicious baked goods, booze, and good food. Solid spot for some good comfort food.
