Met a friend here for lunch. Neither the food nor the service disappointed. It was better than the last time I'd been here several years ago. I'm glad we chose this for our lunch together. Vera was out wait staff. She was friendly, helpful about the menu, and attentive throughout our time together. My friend and I each had a bowl of clam chowder and the Caesar salad. We thought we might get dessert, but we had no room. We were full! This was a comfortable place to eat and catch up. My friend & I had not seen each other in ten years. Great find. I Couldn't find parking anywhere in Clearwater beach for lunch and was frustrated driving around for over an hour so I ended up here for Lunch. Perfect spot. Sat outside on the shaded patio. Restaurant is an old house. . Clean, decorative, and a homey feeling. Service was excellent- beautiful server from Poland. she helped us with menu selections and was on her game keeping us happy. She suggested the clam chowder- wow! Great batch. Delicious! Lots of clams , corn, potatoes. We all ordered a bowl and everyone liked. Fried Grouper Cheeks were suggested so I had to try . Delicious, light eating, fried perfectly. A must try item. Went for a solo dinner and Sea Sea Riders did not disappoint. I was greeted by two servers who were both hospitable and attentive, they checked in on me frequently and ensured I had everything I needed. I ordered the Blackened Scallop Wrap and it was delicious, a light wrap with fresh strawberries to compliment the scallops. We reserved a table for a large group and were seated promptly in a nice private area. We were greeted by Stacey our server who brought us Water and took our drink orders as well which was appreciated on that hot and humid day...drinks came out promptly. We place our orders and I do have to say, wow...the food came out very quick for a large party and was served hot and fresh! Service was just amazing and food was delicious..I ordered a New York Strip which is something I normally do not order and it was cooked perfectly and was delicious along with the Garlic Potato Wedges. Some of our party had the Brussel Sprouts, the Shrimp Pasta,Salads and ac and Cheese and were all very pleased..I ordered the Lemonade with Strawberries which was freshly made in house and was not crazy about it, sent it back because it did not taste like it had any sugar in it and got it back and was still weak..not worth 6.00...everythong else was too notch including the service from Stacey, she was a gem...I would recommend coming here and the staff was super friendly and happy unlike some places you go to, a welcome change for sure! read more

We stopped in for a quick bite and drinks. We ordered the Field of Dreams and Hemingway's Whiskey. Both were easily in the top 5 best cocktails I've ever had- I don't even like whiskey. We ordered the grouper cheeks. I wish they charred the corn but it was still really good. I'm only giving a 4 and not a 5 because our server was not friendly. For example when she took our plates away we said thank you and she said, "Yuuupp." She didn't even look at us in the eyes or smile. We had a five star experience. Not sure why this place only has three stars. First, they have a cool old Florida plantation house with a wraparound porch and large windows. Loved the atmosphere. Service was top notch, we were seated quickly at a large table by the window with great views. Our server was friendly and offered really good suggestions when asked. Note this place has a made from scratch kitchen. We ordered blackened grouper sandwiches, blackened mahi-mahi, grouper nuggets and fries, and the kids had chicken strips and cheese burger. The grouper and mahi-mahi sandwiches were fantastic, as was the grouper nuggets and kids meals. So there I was, shopping downtown Dunedin on the last Saturday before Christmas. I was already feeling festive. Then I had the their award-winning Blueberry Yum Yum. I was flying with Santa after that. No wonder, as the sign out front denotes: it's been named one of the top 10 best cocktails in the country. I'll drink to that! It was a dreamy concoction in a gorgeous color. I'll let the magic remain and not give much away. I hope you find yourself there on a happy afternoon and can sip and see for yourself. I also tried the fried green tomatoes in the "snacks" section of the menu. Beautifully presented, it was also a generous portion (five big slices for nine dollars.) I'm not a condiment fan so I should have asked for it without the buttermilk ranch (my bad) but the tomatoes were so good, I worked around it. Service from Michael was excellent. The ambiance was warm and welcoming with a definite Florida vibe. There's tons of seating, both inside and out, and a menu I'll be back to explore. It's so fun to fall into a delight. The Scallop & Mango Ceviche was not distasteful, but I've had much better appetizing ceviche elsewhere. However, I loved the service, atmosphere, and available parking. If you have a large group, they are accommodating of separate checks. That was nice, because some places will give you a problem with that. We come here often. It's a lovely local place with excellent food, kind servers, a beautiful outdoor ambiance, and only good, not-too-loud live music (which cannot be said for almost anywhere else in Dunedin, or perhaps Florida in its entirety). We love their clam chowder with thyme and their excellent char-grilled burgers with caramelized onions. You can also get a really top shelf kids burger for your kiddies for $5. read more

Nothing exceptional, not bad just nothing memorable. Could be excellent with a menu revamp and a quality chef rather than relying on too many frozen additions instead of going fresh and in season. We decided to go to Sea Sea Riders for dinner one evening as we had enjoyed ourselves last time, we dined there The last time we were there with a very large party and we were satisfied with the food the service and the ambience. This time the service was much slower than we had remembered, although the server was tremendously affable. My guess is they were understaffed that night which is understandable as it seems difficult to find dependable employees these days. The food was not up to par from last time we dined here. The presentation was also mediocre, so we really thought the quality had gone down since last time we were there, unfortunately. We'd like to try it again hoping that was a rare moment because of how busy it was and possible understaffing. We really love the fact that they have live music and we always tip the musicians before leaving, as is our custom. (They do so much for a restaurant. We love them.) The Musician that night was exceptional and REALLY HEIGHTENED THE EXPERIENCE. And last, but not least - We Love Dunedin! read more

It has been 13 years since my last visit at Sea Sea Riders. I remembered I did enjoyed their food but was not impressed by the restaurant setting. It was dark and depressing. But Dunedin has become a tourist hotspot, so the complete interior upgrade at Sea Sea Riders was no surprise to me. I couldn't recognize it when I entered the restaurant. It was bright and contemporary. There was a musician performing Jazz on Friday night, which made our dinning experience very pleasant. The seating arrangement was also efficient. A large bar sits at the center of the main dinning room, while small tables and booth placed around the bar and near the windows. Either sitting Indoor or outdoor, each spot has a view of street and garden. Great for people watching. Food was good. Four of us ordered Scallop Ceviche, crispy Brussel sprouts, Jambalaya, and Red grouper. The Red Grouper and Brussel sprouts got the most favorite votes. I probably will not order the Jambalaya though because it was short of Cajun. Service is efficient and friendly. Our waitress took our orders and checked us up frequently. Cost of food was very reasonable, but drinks cleaned up the wallet. We paid 50 dollars per person for the meal. But overall, I was happy of trying Sea Sea Rider again. read more

We ordered the grouper cheeks which were fried and topped with a chow chow mix, hush puppies which were topped with powdered sugar and served with apple butter so it gave some German vibes definitely more for dessert, the hush puppies tasted like there were onions in them so if people don't like a savory dessert than this is maybe not the best choice there, the best thing we had were the fried green tomatoes.
