For the last 8 years we have been coming here despite the reviews. Sadly this is the last time. There used to be extremely nice hostesses and waitresses. Now. No. Asked for a booth the girl said there were none. There were dirty booths and I told her we would wait but she just looked up at me and then to the person waiting to seat us and sent us to a small table not booth. Our server must have been related to the hostess. She was annoyed my husband ordered from the menu to the extent I told her he doesn't eat seafood. She only cleaned off the table once. I had accumulated 3 shell bowls of eaten crab legs. She never refilled my husbands tea. We had to stop someone. The crab legs were over cooked therefore hard to get the meat out and super salty. Such a shame bc we looked past the smaller scale and not as impressive buffet options but this just can't be overlooked. I don't know if the guys that own it before still do....if so I hope they read this and make changes. read more

We had just got to the area for vacation and I wanted some seafood. Had heard so much about seafood buffets. This place had a huge sign on kings highway so we thought. Give it a shot. It was the most expensive meal we ate all week and was the poorest food. The crab legs had set and soaked so you couldn't crack anything. Not that great a selection. We found this place in a brochure where we're staying. We love seafood and thought it would be a great dining experience! We made a reservation for 8 the night before we were expected to visit. When we first got there, there was a line getting into the front door. We got to the hostess desk and she looked flustered when we told her we had a party of 8, even though we had reservations 24+ hours ahead of time. Out waitress was very efficient, friendly and handled our big group very well. The food was mediocre at best. The mashed potatoes had an unpleasant taste but the baby roasted potatoes were good! The steak had a seafood flavor, not in a positive way. The steak pieces were small and over cooked. Although it was a fresh batch just placed on the table, the crab legs were cold! The mozzarella sticks were also cold, not gooey. The "seafood" was all deep fried, frozen food. Not fresh food you'd expect being by the ocean. We then attempted dessert. The ice cream machine was barely working, the ice cream was runny and the cake didn't taste good either. Other than the food, the place itself was decorated cheap and gaudy. They had a photo company taking everyone's pictures and offering them for sale. The photos were nice and we purchased them. Oh wow, the reviews are on the roller coaster. Yes, the buffet is high priced; I think the price is similar to the other buffets in town. I did not want so much food, so I chose to order off the menu. Yes, the menu is thin, but I chose the fried seafood platter. It comes with a side; I chose the broccoli. I was invited to enjoy the salad bar, which I did. It was ok, almost ordinary - you know the salads came from those bags we buy at the store, but they were a nice selection. I was quite surprised and pleased that the peel and eat shrimp on the salad bar were fresh and sweet. And, so nice to have fresh fruit as an option. I saw some of each item listed on the seafood platter on the buffet and dreaded that my plate would be harvested from the buffet. No, they were all freshly friends - a huge piece of fish, sweet and lovely shrimp, sweet-sweet scallops, meatly oysters. The crab casino was the only drawback - too much breadcrumbs. This restaurant will cheat you the waiters are rude the manager was laughing at us for four people to eat it was 232 when we sat down he told us that it was 49.95 we had coupons for $5 off plus a 15% discount for a large group when he handed us our bill cuz there was nine of us total but we done on separate bills for four people it was $232 the math don't add up we all drink water. This was our first time to Myrtle Beach. We had great seafood at The Clawhouse and decided to try a buffet. Most of the buffets do not open till 2:00 or later but we found Seafood World open before 2pm. Price per adult was 32.99 and kids 6-12 was 15.99. The crab legs were good, but the rest of the buffet was mediocre. The steak was over cooked and dried out. And the clam was bitter. The total for 2 adults, 3 kids under 12 with 3 sodas was $106. Here is a pro tip: I was in town during the week and not quite in season. Find place that looks busy and you'll probably land where the locals eat. If you are in town on a weekend and/or in season ignore that tip- tourists will eat anywhere. I deducted one star because it is a buffet - I've never eaten at a 5-star buffet. Was in Myrtle beach for three nights on business. This place was my 3rd night experience. They have a wide selection of seafood, steak, smoked sausage, and sides. Crab legs were prepared, spot on and aplenty. I didn't waste much time on the salad bar, but the selection was fresh and tasty. This place is a winner - well kept steam tables , really nice salad bar, and attentive staff. Oh, let me not forget the perfect sweet tea and fresh basket of hush puppies on the table. Worst seafood buffet we have ever been to. $50 per person. 5 adults and bill was $300 excluding tip. The size and food options of the buffet are limited. We had to stand in line to wait on crab legs. While waiting in line you block people from accessing other food items due to the short buffet bar. Crab legs were the best item on the bar. We will not return. read more

The French fries were probably the only thing that was actually good, even the few sorry desert options they had were the kind of stuff you'd get at a really bad Chinese buffet. Guys I had high hopes for this place and it was really terrible. I stood in line for 15 to 20 minutes for crab legs and if you were lucky enough to get some they weren't seasoned at all. I only got crab legs twice and the other food is battered to death. The parents that had 5 or 6 kids let them run wild and never said a word. I was a little disappointed once sat to know that lobster was not included in that price at all, not even a lobster macaroni. You do get the choice to add a lobster tail for $12.99. I think for the price more should be offered. Our service was great. The offerings were so-so. The boil had underdone sausage and overdone crab. The crab legs were great. The hush puppies brought to table were small and not great but the honey butter was delish. That was a first for me.
