We came on a weekend, so it was a bit crowded (which honestly just shows how good it is). While we waited for our table, we hung out at the bar and tried one of their handcrafted beers, absolutely delicious! The vibe here is super cool like part restaurant, part brewery and the staff was so friendly and attentive even though it was busy. Now let's talk about the real star of the show: CHEESE CURDS. I had never tried cheese curds before, and oh my god... life-changing. They were perfectly crispy on the outside and gooey inside...honestly, I would drive all the way back to Crescent City just for those. If you go, don't even think twice, order them. We also got a pizza, and it was amazing, flavorful, fresh, and the perfect pairing with their beer. The atmosphere was great. Laid-back, fun, and very Pacific Northwest coastal vibes. There's plenty of parking, and it's right in the cute little downtown area of Crescent City, so it's super easy to find. If you're heading to the Redwoods (like we did), make a stop here after your hike, you won't regret it. SeaQuake was a solid find when we spent one night in Crescent City as we made our way up the coastline. They had a really great variety of beers and I really enjoyed their hazy ipa. Servers were nice and the establishment itself was fairly large, simple modern decor, and was well kept. The food menu looked spectacular, with tons of variety, but unfortunately much of what we ordered sounded better than it tasted. By far the best thing we ordered was the cheese curds which were great. However the fish and chips weren't that great and neither was the burger. Both dishes felt lacking, not horrible, but just "meh" - the descriptions make it sound much better touting locally sourced ingredients. I'd definitely swing by here again on my way through town and have a couple beers, but perhaps try something different on the menu or go elsewhere for dinner. read more

We stopped by Sea Quake Brewing after a day at the Redwood forests and had a great time. I started with the PNW Mai Tai which was absolutely delicious. We also tried a beer flight with four different hazy beers, each one more flavorful than the last. If you're into hazies, this is definitely the place to explore some great ones. For food, we started with their calamari which was perfectly crispy with a light, golden batter. Also it came in strips and was hands down, the best calamari I've ever had and I'm not really a fan of this dish, in general. My main course was their Impossible smash burger which was juicy and well seasoned. Even as a meat alternative, it delivered big flavor. Our other entree was the fettuccine pasta dish -- rich, creamy, and incredibly satisfying. We added their blackened shrimp and grilled chicken which really elevated the dish. The service was friendly and attentive, and the vibe was relaxed but lively. Whether you're here for the food, the beer, or just to hang out, Sea Quake delivers on all fronts. Really enjoyed lunch here on Memorial day. There were a lot of people waiting outside so we were prepared to wait, but was pleasantly surprised to be seated right away for our party of three. Restaurant looks and feels great with lots of seating inside and out. Service was also very good. Food arrived quickly for how busy they were. I got the coconut shrimp, fried golden and I loved the sticky rice that came with it. My husband's fish and chips was delicious. Toddler was happy with his pizza off the kids menu. Ii had high hopes for SeaQuake after seeing the reviews. I will give their beer 5 stars, however the food is somewhat lacking in my opinion. We had the coconut prawns and they were 5 stars along with the pineapple salsa. I had the BBQ chicken "burger" and it was ok. The fried onion straws were hard and tasted like they'd been sitting around for a while and the fries are the same ole frozen fries under far too often. We also had the Mac and cheese which was the wordy of the three dishes. The cheese sauce itself was fine. The noodles hadn't been cooked salted water and were overcooked and near mush. I want to also note there was a lack of beer mentioned in the food items so it's like there's a disconnect between the beer and the food. read more

We were really excited to check this place out while visiting from out of town and initially stopped in for drinks with plans to stay for dinner. We had our two young boys with us and specifically asked to sit outside so they could enjoy the yard games. We were seated in a corner that was fully shaded and very windy, making it pretty cold. When we asked if we could move to a sunnier spot, we were told we wouldn't be able to order food there. We decided to keep our original table but temporarily sit in the sun to stay warm. When our server came out, she seemed a little annoyed that we weren't sitting at the original table. After taking our drink order, she asked to close us out right away. This caught us off guard, as we were planning to order another round and then sit down for dinner. That interaction left us feeling unwelcome, so we finished our drinks and chose to go elsewhere for dinner. We had the BEST server Amanda! She was very accommodating to the needs of our large group. She made sure all of our orders were correct and came out at the same time. The food was so good. I shared with a few of my friends the sopressata with hot honey pizza, and the chicken waffles pizza, and the California croissant. Every bite was fantastic. It gets so busy so get there early. The restaurant is not far from a pier that extends into the ocean. It is the perfect place to walk down to after you finish your food. If I'm ever nearby again I will definitely come back. read more

A huge space very close to the shore right across the street from some park that is literally on the water. There's a convenient parking lot in front with free parking. It was pretty chilly when we got here even though it was mid July, so we didn't explore the outside seating and went right in. it's quite a big space with two floors. We were seated in the top floor which is much more quiet but still has a nice view over the bottom floor which is much busier (in a good way) and is where the bar is. The food was surprisingly good, I liked the ramen and other options looked good too on the tables near us. The service could have been faster but was overall ok. I tried a flight of their IPAs but they were too bitter for me. If you like bitter IPAs that might be your place. read more

I settled for chips and queso, as I wasn't as hungry. The chips were delicious--fresh fried. The queso was the right amount of spicy, and I was beating the kids' hands away from my food! I appreciate being able to find places with kids' menus. Our server was overseated. I felt bad for him because he had a ton of high capacity tables and had to go downstairs for everything. The space is aesthetically pleasing and comfortable. Great bathrooms as well. Service was good throughout our time here, but unfortunately we weren't asked about the food. Although we appreciated that our salads were tossed in dressing, it was drenched in said dressing and overwhelming after a few bites. We both ended up just picking around for the most nutrients without wholly enjoying the meal... the chicken wasn't dry and tough, but too soft if you can imagine that, it was weird... They had so much that looked great we ordered two dinners last night because I couldn't decide and then came back again tonight to try another selection. We are leaving tomorrow so we won't be able to come back and try anything else otherwise I would come back again. Our server (Alecia) was one of the best I have ever had. She told us, in detail, about all the food we we expressed interest in (hence ordering the double meals to try more stuff).
