Late. Lucky I worked home that day. No customer service. Gave me attitude telling me don't sign then no repairs. Basically said I was lying. Dude don't even take his shoes off or ask. Worst customer service ever! You cannot reach a live person to get a straight answer. I scheduled a repair on my refrigerator under warranty. Scheduled on 8/6/2025, 8-12 only to get a text at 1:36 rescheduling my appointment to 8/10/2025. This wasn't going to work so I rescheduled for an earlier appointment 8/9/2025, 1-5p; on the day the ETA was approx 2:03; only to receive a text at 2:10pm rescheduling my appointment to 8/10/2025, 8-12. I missed an important family event waiting for repair service only to have it cancelled at the last minute. No advance notice, no compensation, yet if the customer cancels they assess a service charge! Poor customer service...no way to contact a live person, only recordings. Great service. Friendly. Ice maker on samsung and Mohammed diagnosis needed new maker. Ordered Monday and part came Friday late. Visit changed to Saturday and visit made. Maker was frozen and needed to be steamed out. Was changed and now works great. Ice maker was horribly missed. read more

Compressor had to be replaced in refrigator. technition appears to be knowledgeable in his field. When he finished the job I asked a few questions while he was walking out the door. first I noticed the fridge was still sitting in the middle of the floor in my kitchen, he never attempted to put it back against the wall. Second I noticed dirt all around the fridge. third I noticed new scratches on my hardwood floors, he had his tools and equipment sitting on the floor. Forth, he left the old parts sitting on my kitchen counter, the part are the heavy compressor that he replaced. I'm not happy about having to wait three weeks to get the fridge fixed. The parts were delivered all most three weeks ago so why couldn't the technician return sooner?? Please respond with a phone call. read more

Today is the 19th day since I first contacted Sears Repair Service for my broken dryer. With every other repair company on Earth, my dryer would've already been fixed by now. You have wasted my time, starting with your technician, Keith, who incompetently diagnosed the problem in total error, ordered the parts that didn't work for technician #2 Russell, and your Dispatch sending a rude, impolite 3rd technician named Hasim, who parked outside my house, saying he wouldn't come in until I called Dispatch. When I asked what for, he said, "I don't know, but you need to call them." Do you know that IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO CALL DISPATCH? Dispatch is not available to the customer! They are ABOVE contact with the customer. The customer service rep quickly apologized and said another technician was on his way. Technican #4 called (I don't remember his name) and said he was 15 minutes away. Almost immediately, my doorbell rang and guess who was there? The a$$hole Hasim. When I asked what he was doing there when there's somebody else coming, he said he was doing the job. I sent him away reminding him that he REFUSED to come in if I didn't call Dispatch. Two full hours later, Technician #4 never showed . And why? Because Hasim cancelled the job and closed out the ticket. My whole day was wasted. Customer service again quickly scheduled a "senior level" technician for Monday, promising that all will be well next time. The senior level guy was Keith, who never showed up. Wow, just wow. Another senior level guy was scheduled for Tuesday. Guess who it was? Hasim. When I asked him why he demanded that I call Dispatch last Saturday before would come in, he said because I had a job to pay for his phone call, which was collect. I threw him out of my house. Another knowledgeable, experienced senior level technician was promised for today, Wednesday. The rep swore to God Hasim would not be here. He was at the door. I told him to go to hell. I am done with the substandard repair service company called Sears. The name is an affront to the wonderful, high quality appliances we've all known for over 100 years. Too bad, the company has gone under and now, only the most incompetent, dumbed-down technicians show up to do the repairs. I am filing a formal complaint with Consumer Affairs. We bought an elliptical from Sears a few years back, and religiously maintained an expensive 5-year service agreement. This was mostly when we lived in San Francisco. Whenever we ordered the annual service, this one guy would come out, work on the machine, replace parts, everything. So we always renewed. After the last renewal (2020), however, the last guy to come to our house in SF didn't even crack the casing. He did nothing and was only in our house for 5 minutes. A year ago we moved to Grass Valley, about an hour north of Sacramento. Service is non-existent. A couple of months ago, we ordered our annual maintenance, they had no one. Worse, after a few very long calls, they set up an appointment. We even returned early from a trip because it was so important to us. No one showed on the appointed day. No email, no phone call, nothing. Frustrated, we called again, the service rep said he saw the record of our calls, but no confirmation number. Silly us! We forgot to ask famously reliable SEARS for a confirmation number! We asked the rep to send an email record of that call, he said he was sending it, but guess what, no email ever arrived. Finally, we called to cancel our service agreement which had two years left on it. We got a paltry $93 refund, having only used the service once, that one time the guy did nothing and left. Technically, we had three annual service calls left (2023, 2024, & 2025). Personally, I grew up around Sears products, and have always sworn by their reliability and service. Maybe online shopping has been hard on the company, but they shouldn't charge for a service they can no longer provide. I wish I could give ZERO stars. read more

Beware! They offer you for $129.00 a diagnostic appointment, which is there forfeited if you use their services for repair. Well, we did it and lo and behold we were sucked into a Sears home appliance warranty package, and then a large quote for repair of our garage refrigerator and discounted with diagnostic repair fee waived. The diagnostic appt was on Friday and if signing up for their appliance warranty (which wasn't cheap). They checked to see of parts were available to fix our refrigerator, and then set us up with appointment for the repair on Monday. All the while, we prepaid for their services that never happened! Well, it never happened! At 8 a.m. when scheduled to repair, got an email that technician was too busy to pick up parts and if part runner could get the parts to him, he would try to get to us. In the meantime, we have over $700 worth of frozen food, now in coolers (technician on Friday told us to do so, and defrost the refrigerator so technician on Monday could repair! To make a long story, technician called 5 hours after they were supposed to be here and told us the parts would have to be ordered (1-2 weeks) once we get them call to schedule new repair appt and good luck! Totally unacceptable, since on the time of signing for their home warranty service they guaranteed our refrigerator would be fixed on Monday. Livid, indeed! Told them to reimburse me for the money I paid for the services to be performed and cancel the membership to their home warranty program Well, again, long story short! Try getting your money back? Regarding my experience with Mike, the Sears dryer technician, who came to installed a new part = he gets a 1. His demeanor was dismissive and I am assuming he found me irritating that I was cleaning up dryer dust from the floor since "he had other clients to attend to"! Then he defended himself because his time slot was 1-5pm showing up at 4:45. This arrival would have been alright had he answered one of my 4 voicemails messages asking about an ETA. The problem was he named my laundry closet in between the dryer and the wall when he left and I cannot move it to open nor close it and of course he didn't answer nor call me back to make arrangements to return to fix the problem he created. I don't write bad reviews. I think this is my second and the last one was 3 Years ago. The Sears, Kenmore Repair Service is the worst, and most inconsiderate company I have ever experienced. First, they scheduled 2 appointments, I spend two full days waiting and nobody showed up. Well that was frustrating, clearly my time is of no value to the company. Finally, the third day a technician showed up for a part that was a warranty item. My refrigerators compressor stopped working. It has a ten year warranty. Phew what a relief.... Not at all. In order to install the new compressor I had to pay between $800 and $1300 to replace other components. Finally I told the "gentleman" that I wasn't going to do that and he really got aggressive. He started saying to me how much did you think this was gonna cost you? He was treating me like I was ridiculously cheap. There was eye rolling and head shaking like I was completely unreasonable. Finally I told just replace the compressor. He refused to do that. I asked him to leave the warranted part. He said no and he left with an attitude. From the very beginning Sears was up sale, up sale, up sale. In the beginning, I considered getting their home warranty. After this experience, there's not a chance I will deal with them again. It looks like I'm buying a new refrigerator and I guarantee you it will not be a Kenmore. I wish I had the option to leave zero stars. I think I'm going to contact the Better Business Bureau. I don't know if it'll make any difference, but I think they should be answerable to somebody. read more

When we returned after vacation in early August after the 30-day warranty period, the microwave did not work again. SEARS HOME SERVICES WOULD NOT REFUND OUR MONEY OR REPAIR THE MICROWAVE.
