I would refer sears repair to my friends and family. The technician was highly professional and courteous. He had a quality work ethic.

TL;DR- do NOT schedule appointments with Sears Home Services. They will reschedule you constantly and there is no way to talk to a human to find out why or get an acceptable solution. I scheduled an appointment for 3/4 for Sears Home Services to fix my leaky dishwasher. It's now 3/12, and I've had 4 appointments rescheduled-- all with bogus reasons given by the technicians ("no one answered" when I was home and available all day; "couldn't find parking" when no one called to verify where parking for my building is; "technician was overbooked" when I was listed in their online portal as the next service stop). The real kicker is that when you try to call them to get more information, if your phone number is associated with an active order, you just get put through a menu loop with the same 6 options without ever having the opportunity to talk to a person. The same thing happens if you use their online chat-- the only way I was able to actually chat with a person was by putting in my husband's phone number, which wasn't associated with the order. Even when you do talk to a human via chat, they're useless. Each rep I talked to (and I chatted with them after every rescheduled appointment) said they weren't in charge of scheduling and couldn't add me to the top of the next day's service list but that "my experience wasn't the norm and wouldn't be repeated" (and yet... it's been repeated 4 times so far!). I'm a renter and have little autonomy over who services my appliances, but if/when I do have the choice, I will NEVER use this service again. Edited to add response to owner: 1- I don't have a facebook account, so that gets me no closer to solving this problem. Any other means of contacting you (other than the chat function on your website that I've already used 4 times with no solution)? 2- The fact that your suggestion is to go to a facebook group to leave a complaint instead of the website linked to your account is super sketchy. Why on earth would an unofficial facebook group be more efficient than your actual website? And how are other folks experiencing issues supposed to know about this facebook group to get their problems fixed without leaving you a public 1 star review? For others who might be reading this review-- the fact that their official method of recourse is to visit their FACEBOOK page and not their official website (see owner response below) should be a red flag! read more

Trying to get Sears to service my washer. It's been one month and still no working washer and I have a protection agreement. The first third party techinian never showed. Weeks later finally a sears technician showed up and ordered a part that was not made anymore. Now it's time for Sears to replace the washer since they cannot repair. Of course I don't hear anything from them regarding a replacement. They don't want to honor their protection agreement. Really sad and even worse customer service! read more

The only reason I didn't do five stars at the last minute, my husband saw what the problem was and was able to fix it.

The technician did not look inside my machine, instead, from my description of the issue and the noise he heard after turning it on, he told me it would be almost $300 to lubricate it. He spent most of the time trying to sell me a Sears warranty. I got a new technician who showed me was causing the issue, ie, something on the front of the dryer was broken. I am trying to dry my clothes the dryer tumbles but even on high heat it doesnt heat. I have had a load in for 140 minutes and it's still not dry. We waited 2 weeks for parts and service. The service was performed today and the technician said it was working but it is not heating. Very disappointed. read more

The technicians who showed up to complete the work did a good job. They were very professional and courteous. They worked diligently and completed the repair quickly. However, getting to this point of service was painful.. been waiting to have this work completed since early January... then had to reschedule for assessment which was difficult to reconnect with warranty company ... then after assessment and repair date scheduled... all automated... never got to speak with a human being ....that repair date was dropped reportedly due to back order of the part needed.(even though I found the exact same part available on Amazon).... So waiting again after reporting finding the part on Amazon.... I received an automated notification of new scheduled repair date of Feb 16th... then just a few days before the 16tb ... I received another automated report of repair date changed to Feb 19th... finally after waiting a month and a half the repair was completed... and I don't recall ever being notified by a human about any of this it was all through an automated system which i absolutely despise!!!! It would have been nice to talk with a person and let them know what dates for repairs would have worked for me. I give technicians today a 5 star... Service overall I give a 3 star. Will also call and complain to my warranty company as well. read more

Waste of money. He didn't even take the dryer apart to do a real diagnostic. He did some googling (which I could have done and already did myself) and decided what the problem was without even actually testing it. Then told me it was going to be almost $600 to repair, but if I joined the Sears maintenance warranty program, I would get a discount. I used to buy all my appliances, do all my repairs (appliance and auto) with Sears. Never again. No wonder they went bankrupt. read more
