All of this could have been resolved if they simply called me and checked on what the issue was. Lot of money for very little customer satisfaction. read more

With Sears stores closing nationwide, this store didn't have much to offer. They seemed to have no-name or cheap brand tools, but no Craftsman products available. The sales clerk on the floor was apologetic and suggested I could continue to find Craftsman brands at Lowe's stores. Plenty of appliances on the floor - washers/dryers, fridges, dishwashers etc... Sadly, this store seemed to be the dying breath of a long term brand. read more

We seldom use our dishwasher, so when it didnt work after only a few years of ownership, I was surprised and pissed. Put in an American Home Shield work order and an A&E technician/ Joseph shows up, replaces the circuit board and we're up and running. Showed up early, was very professional and friendly. read more

Terrible, terrible customer service. Stay away if you want your appliance fixed in a reasonable timeframe or expect timely communication about the status of your service request. Our dryer stopped working in the first week of January. We called Sears and scheduled a service appointment on 1/13. The technician determined that we needed to replace two parts. You're not able to reschedule a repair until all parts are in hand; he estimated that we could reschedule for 2/2 based on when the parts were projected to arrive. That was 3 weeks away and I was annoyed, which is amusing in retrospect given that 3 weeks would've been great compared to our current timeline. The technician ordered the parts on his phone and I paid via credit card. We received no email confirmation of the order and no list of the parts ordered or their expected delivery date, although I did immediately see the charge on my credit card. The first part arrived within a few days, so we were hopeful the second part would also arrive quickly so we could re-schedule repair. Weeks go by and the part hadn't arrived. We never received an email confirmation of the original appointment, and the link in the text my wife had received didn't work, so she started reaching out to customer service to get a status update. She called over two weeks ago and was told that the part was "leaving the [Sears] warehouse shortly". She asked that the receipt for parts and a confirmation of the service order be emailed to her. The agent claimed it was sent, but neither was received. She called again the following week and an agent again claimed that the part would ship within a few days and we would get tracking. She asked again for an emailed part receipt and an email with a link to the order so she could track the status. Neither was received. She called again 2/13 and (after being disconnected at least 4 times) finally reached an agent who admitted the part was on backorder from GE and could provide no updated timeframe. My wife requested part info, looked online and found/ordered it with the agent still on the phone, requested a cancellation/refund of the original Sears order, and asked to reschedule for 2/17 since the part was due to arrive 2/16. The agent insisted we could only schedule when all the parts are in hand, but claimed she put in a request to cancel the part. My wife requested the service order number, but the number did not work when she entered it on the Sears website later. We received the part on 2/16 and called to reschedule service. The agent told her the part order cancellation was "processing" and gave vague assurance that we'd be refunded for the part (but it would take 14+ days). We scheduled a repair for 2/18 b/w 1-5pm. She asked the agent to confirm that HER email and phone were on the order and that she would be sent an email and text confirmation of the appointment. She received neither, although I did receive a text on MY phone. Thursday 2/18 arrives. We had some snow in the morning but received no communication to let us know the appointment needed to be rescheduled (and had no way to track the appointment online). At 4:45 pm, my wife called to ask if a technician was coming. The agent she spoke to said the technician was still coming and said he would put in a request for them to call her. She asked whether the part order had been cancelled--it had not, but again the agent claimed that they would do so. A few minutes later, my wife received a call from the Sears number. It was an agent from a third party calling to tell her that the appointment had been cancelled due to inclement weather. Somehow in the 4 calls, the agents had never managed to update her contact information, so we weren't getting alerts. This was the first knowledgeable/helpful person my wife has spoken to in her HOURS of attempting to get information. Because the inclement weather had required so many repairs to be rescheduled, Sears had reached out to her company to assist. She said there were no notes in our account about requesting an order cancellation. She rescheduled our appointment for today, 2/19. What is also hilarious is that even with this horrible service and experience, Sears will still constantly try to up-sell you on buying a total home warranty, or full vinyl flooring. The customer service reps have the gall to do this after you've been complaining to them (multiple times). Sears hasn't been doing well as a company, with their stores shutting down across the country, and they're basically staying alive with Home Services. With the experience we had, they absolutely deserve to lose this business as well. They need a complete restructuring of their customer service, communication, and join the 21st century by being able to provide valid email updates with tracking numbers, confirmations, etc. read more

Arrived well past my scheduled arrival window (around 5:45pm) when my scheduled service window was 1-4pm. Had my freezer open for an extended period of time and jeopardized the items inside, including frozen breast milk which I was extremely concerned about and stated so. I advised the service technician I was hearing an intermittent sound which sounded like it was coming from the back of the appliance. He didnt even attempt to pull the appliance out and inspect the parts in the back of the appliance. Diagnosis was not adequate on this item and I'm extremely frustrated. No root cause was found and there was no resolution or fix suggested, simply to call back if I heard the sound again?! read more

So very disappointed with recent service. Window was 1-5PM and they didn't arrive until after 6PM. I can live with that. What I'm disappointed in is that the technician told me they could not fix/troubleshoot my double oven because they didn't have the model number for my Jenn Air. There was a Maytag sticker with information but they said that wasn't it. I was just searching on the internet to try to determine the model of my Jenn Air and learned that it's Maytag Jenn Air! So the stick that is on my oven is the valid model number. They didn't even try to look it up. So I spent $119 for them to come look, say we can't do anything and leave. Don't think I'll use Search tech's again, basically I was ripped off. read more

window installation.. Note a DAMAGED window was installed. I noticed it a few days later while sitting in my car in our driveway. We emailed the pictures showing the damage but Sears ( unresponsive customer service) never got back with us. No one from Sears inspected the work to sign off on a well done and seamless install. I find that an odd business practices. We were never given the cruise the salesmen enticed us with either. I do not recommend this company! read more

The technician was unable to help with my problem. He suggested turning up the temperature on thermostat which worked for the time being. However, my problem (heat shutting down after a couple of hours) was not solved. The technician suggested waiting a couple of days to "see what happens" and then calling in for another service call if needed (another $100 with still no guarantee of solving the problem). I attempted to call to talk to an individual about what my next steps would be but was unable to talk to a person without paying $100. I am frustrated and disappointed. read more

The day of the reschedule, after confirmation, our appt got rescheduled by Sears another week out without any contact but only an email. Very dissatisfied and will never use them! read more

My home warranty scheduled an appointment with Sears on April 20, 2024, for my stove (cooktop/oven) . My appointment was scheduled for April 23,2024. Sears NEVER showed up, nor did they call me. Today is April 27th, still no Sears technician. My home warranty tried reaching out via email, and phone calls. The home warranty explained that if I cancelled with Sears, I would have to start the process over again. I did not want to start the process over, so I ... being hopeful, kept the appointment. Well, today is a week. Before I reach out to my home warranty (American Home Shield), I wanted to see if anyone had suggestions as to another company that is reliable and needs the money because evidently, Sears Home Appliance Repair do not. Oh, BTW: I placed a 1 star review on Google. They responded to tell me to go on Facebook. What!? They STILL have not contacted me about rescheduling my appointment (and do not respond to phone calls/voice messages) but can respond to a review. Okay, what is wrong with this picture. SMH. I am now looking at another company. In my opinion some of the companies still carry the name, but their business practice is a lot different than I remember as a young girl living with my parents. Again SMH. I am very disappointed in Sears. Again, any suggestions on a good reliable company within Montgomery County Maryland...DMV area. Let me know. read more

The first tech mis-diagnosed the issue, ordered a part. Five days later, Adbul was summoned to finish. He saw the part ordered had nothing to do with my cooling issue. He quickly diagnosed and resolved the issue. Then generated the paperwork to refund the cost of the unneeded part.
