Zero Stars!! A week ago, I scheduled an appointment online for Sears to come out to repair my washer/dryer unit. They came looked at the unit diagnosed the problem, but did not have the part. It was ordered but the repair guy could not come back until three weeks later (???). I found this to be odd because if I was to schedule another appointment, I could have an appointment within 48 hours. The tech advised me to go online once the parts arrived and schedule an appointment to put in the parts once they came. The parts came within a week and I scheduled another service call for Friday from 1-5 pm. 3:45 pm I received a call from the tech stating that they were in my area around 2 pm and could not find my home. They tried calling my number but I gave them the wrong number. Question 1: If I gave you the wrong number, how are you able to call me at 3:45 pm? Question 2: How is it that you were unable to find my home, when the tech from the previous week was able to, the food/flower delivery persons are able to, Uber, Waze, Google Maps...? He asked me how easy it was to install the part. Really! If I knew how easy it was I would not need them to come out and install it! Also on the call, he told me he was the tech, then when I started to complain he said he was the dispatcher. He said he would fix the problem and have someone come out today. Thirty minutes later, I called him back to see if someone was actually coming out. No answer. So I called the customer service number on the web site. The person I spoke with was highly dramatic and completely unprofessional; making comments on the side, like I could not hear him. I had to reschedule the appointment, so now I have to wait until Tuesday before someone can come out. If I have not already invested money into this repair I would be calling someone else. If I could give a zero I would.... Refrigerator died and technician came out. Could not do nothing that day because he had no parts. Ordered new parts and the were shipped to my house. I called, scheduled new appointment. Was given a morning timeframe of 8-12. So.... I take off work and sat around for the technician. The juicy part: 1.)At 1230, no phone call, no technician, no nothing! I call and the person tells me "the ticket is still open, sorry for the delay buy they'll be there shortly" 2.) at 1pm, no phone call, no technician, no nothing! I call and the person tells me "The ticket has been closed, the technician put in his notes that he cannot make the call today". Of course, I at this point I am very frustrated. How ignorant of a company to just cancel the ticket and have someone spent the whole day waiting at home and forced to take off of work!!! 3.) I demand that another technician come to my job. I get the runaround from the operator. I then demand for a supervisor. The operator continues to tell me that "they will say the same thing I am telling you" and I continue to demand a supervisor. 4. The supervisor "Pec" gets on the phone and basically tells me the job was cancelled because the technician is "too busy". I state that "I had a morning job (0800-1200) and that excuse is unacceptable". She then tells me that there's "no technicians in the area". I told her "that is a lie because I'm between Baltimore, Annapolis, and Washington DC. You can't tell me there's nobody". The supervisor states that she'll call the dispatcher and see if they can locate someone. 5. Amazingly, when I was put on hold, I was cut off/disconnected. So.... Service tech came for warranty repair on our LG fridge while I was at work. When he arrived he was immediately argumentative with my wife saying that he couldn't do the service since the fridge was unplugged (of course it's unplugged, it's broken. When something electrical is broken you unplug it). He then was muttering under his breath about too many pictures being attached to the side of the fridge. After he plugged it in he went to the bathroom and got on the phone for ten minutes flushing the toilet several times. While he was in the bathroom my wife called me at work upset about how he was treating her. I contacted the company's service representative and explained the situation. I called my wife on the phone three-way and started speaking with her and the repair man. He immediately started arguing with the service representative. Between everyone arguing the service representative hung up the phone. The repairman said he was going to his vehicle and would be back in 30 minutes. He drove off and never came back. No further response from the service department. We received a text notification we have another service appointment scheduled for 2 weeks from now. read more

Called Sears Service Center because we had good luck in the past. The rep was courteous and capable. He diagnosed the problem within 10 seconds and replaced the problem switch within 10 minutes. The problem is the cost. They charged me $300 to install a $30 part that took less than 10 minutes to install. That comes out to about $1800 per hour. A reasonable charge would have been the up-front diagnostic fee (deductible from labor fee) plus the cost of the part, or about $130. I will not be using Sears again. read more

I been having issues with my refrigerator, the tech showed up after thanksgiving and google the refrigerator trouble code. And order parts, the second tech showed up and told me the first tech order wrong parts. He order the parts again. The same tech showed up the third time and installed parts. He told me I needed a kenmore specialist because he did all he can. So he made an appointment for the 12-24-2021. When the day came my appointment was changed without notification me to the 1-2-2021. Today at 8:20 my appointment wasn't changed to 1-4-2021 again and again without any notification. I keep missing work to be here to meet the tech. Really bad customer service, my kids are home without a refrigerator. Now sears wants to home and I can't miss work anymore. Thinking of switching repairs company when my contract is over in June. I had a technician come out to look at my broken washer. I needed him to send the diagnostic report to my home warranty company, which he said he would do but he never actually did. I called both the technician and the service line for weeks afterward to try to get them to submit the report or at least email it to me, but they never did. I asked for a refund and they denied me. First, for any appointment you have to be home waiting from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM. I called to schedule an appointment for washer repair on October 7, 2022. I was given the appointment for repair on November 9, 2022, over a month later. I sat waiting from 8:00 AM until 3:45 PM until someone showed up. Then he had to order parts, which were ordered on November 9, 2022 and came within a few days. My repair appointment was scheduled for December 9, 2022, and once again I'm sitting waiting until whatever time the repair person wI'll show up. So, assuming my washer is actually repaired today, it will have taken slightly over two months for repair and two full days of sitting home waiting. And this is a protection plan I paid a LOT for. UPDATE 9 (August 7, 2015) I receive a call today from Sears Home Service...the representative apologizes for the experience I had with Sears and is happy that the new service technician was able to correct their mistake. She explains that a refund has been authorized and that it might take 5-7 business days...not optimal since they are quick to charge your credit card but slow to give it back. Remember, I was charged for this service when it was scheduled on July 13, 2015, and will be out that money until the refund occurs. Take this into account if/when you decide to book with Sears Home Service. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!! We just had a technician come to our home for our Home AC unit. Wow! Is all I can say. Our AC was completely not working. He tried to change the filter and in the room where we put an AC window unit in to cool that area, took the temperature gauge on that area and said it was fine. He was actually ready to leave!!! I contacted Sears as our heat was off. We had the same situation last Feburary. Sears changed a value and it cost $670.. which included #300.00+ in labor charges (This was for 2 (TWO) workers). The warranty was only 90 days (for a $700 job) So why now, the heat goes out again, basically the same thing - gasvalve BUT this time cost was over $1000,00 but what got me was the tech worked on it about 30 minutes and the LABOR COST were $403.99. Technician tech ID: 43927 was my house and he did not know what he had to fix, he told me ,he had to try fix one thing and if it did not work I had to change something else, in the end he gave me an estimate for two jobs, considering he does not have much knowledge of the problem doing the repair is something unpredictable for final payment. We have an extended warranty on several Kenmore products and our dish washer developed a problem. The repair service was easy to schedule, their email, text and "30-minute away" phone calls were great. The tech diagnosed the problem and ordered the control board. The board was back-ordered due to (I assume) "supply chain/chip issues" BUT we were kept apprised of the progress and when the part arrived, the tech arrived as scheduled, installed the part and everything is back to normal. I particularly appreciate the friendliness of the techs. The delay was about 4-weeks but it's not like we couldn't live without a dishwasher. I had Sears Appliance Repair come out to repair my mom's washer. They had to order a part and had her pay upon ordering. The repairman told her to save payment to prove she had paid for when they came to install the part. They came out this morning to install the part. I was home sick so my husband went over. He calls me and says the repairman had installed the part and owes another $147! I said no she had already paid $264 and owed nothing. The repairman made a call and the person told him we either paid or he was to remove the part! We told him no, and somebody better fix the situation. I have home warranty and called them in the afternoon because my cooktop failed. They created a job code assigned to sears appliance repair for the next day between 1 and 5 pm. That same evening I received an automated call asking me to call back to reschedule my appointment ... which is a bit weird, why wouldn't you connect me to a human?!!? When I called back I was given the options to reschedule, cancel or confirm my appointment through the automated system; so I confirmed! Today at about 230 I received that same automated call asking me to reschedule. Sensing something fishy I called and asked to speak to a representative ... they're overbooked and can't give me another appointment till next week. Thats completely unacceptable: 1. Why would they accept the appointment in the first place? The scheduling system clearly doesn't function correctly. 2. The Technician that came to our home was not prepared to do his job. He was unprofessional, didn't want to answer questions. He started out by asking for a step up stool in which I couldn't understand why he needed one when all repairs were at eye level. He was constantly moaning and sighing the whole time he worked as if he didn't want to do the repair. While working, he was on multiple personal phone calls and didn't have the sense to take the call outside or in his vehicle. The technician who initially checked out our fridge and ordered the parts informed us to also request that the condenser be cleaned which is a service that their suppose to offer for a $50 charge. I asked for the service and the text told me that his steamer or tool needed to do the cleaning was broke. This is the worst service company I have ever used in my life. Fridge stopped working and called on 10/30/22. Someone came to diagnose on 11/4/22. It is 1/19/23 and frige still not fixed. I waiting for 2 months on parts and they have now "no showed" me for my installation appointment 3 times. 1/6, 1/13, 1/16 and apparently they will be here today to finally fix. He knew how to diagnose the problem with my refrigerator-freezer, and he had the replacement part on his truck, so everything was back to normal in an hour. Dispatch gets zero stars, for taking 3 weeks to send the technician out, so overall (5+0) / 2 = 3 stars (rounded up). I called for repair on a Kenmore Elite fridge, sadly because it was still under warranty I have to use Sears. If you want to read horror stories, look up LG Linear Compressors in Kenmore Fridge and you'll find lots of stuff including a class action suit... In any case, to install a new part for a known problem where I sent email pictures of the fridge and compressor plates, I'm being charged $600 for multiple visits (because they didn't bring the part) plus over $100 in additional parts they said I need (evaporator and 3-way switch) and it'll take over 9 days. My recommendation is never to buy a Sears product and if you are fortunate enough to have one out of warranty, go to another repair company. read more

Four out of five back ordered parts arrived in a timely fashion. Fifth part NEVER arrived and no date for delivery was reported. Many calls to 800 number did not resolve issue. If I could give Sears Home Warranty Repair a minus 5 rating, it would not be low enough to deal with all the aggravation: several calls to get a repair scheduled; lack of follow up after the scheduled repair; dropped phone calls; and if your appliance can not be repaired, you wait 21 business days from the time the parts were ordered to be told again that you must wait for another several days for approval for a replacement or a credit. read more

We began contacting Sears about our needed repair around October 14, 2022. The technician who came today, November 28, was the 4th to come. Thankfully he repaired the wash machine. The first 3 technicians always worked on the machine and left after a period of time. They were always courteous and seemed diligent, but the problem or issues were not fixed. Parts had to be ordered and the machine still was not fixed. Many times we've had to wring water out of smelly clothes because the wash machine was not draining and would lock. We've had to visit the laundry mat many times in order to have clean clothes. We do have a contract agreement, but we're disappointed that the resolution had took so long. STAY AWAY...Synopsis: Sears came to replace a felt dryer drum seal. Easy job. Technician fried some electronics in the process. Admitted fault, stated they would fix. DAY 40... Update #5. Unbelievable. Text at 4:40 saying he's on way then he calls at 5:05PM and says he won't make it because his seasonal allergies are flaring up. Can't come until next week. That will be 47 days after the first technician fried the electronics. Update #4. Phone rep revealed today that AE is affiliated with Sears who still, 5 weeks later, has not repaired the dryer that THEY BROKE. Been waiting all day, no show AGAIN. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I don't know what the business model is but it seems like a mess, nobody in charge. Continue to get the runaround is from sears customer "service". No tech in sight to fix the dryer their tech fried. Update #3. Sears was scheduled to return today but did not show up. NO CALL. We waited. All day. Finally got through to someone but were told the service truck broke down. Scheduled a repair for February 14. Simple dryer felt drum seal replacement.During the repair the technician fried some electronics in the dryer and the basement filled with smoke smell. It has now been 2 1/2 weeks and our dryer has not been fixed. Repeated calls to Sears home services get us nowhere. We are told the part has been ordered. I can order a part from anywhere in the country and have it to my house the next day so their excuses are not reasonable.Beware, when you call Sears you get a national call center somewhere with people who do not care about your repairs. It is impossible to speak to a supervisor and impossible to talk to somebody who actually has the authority to fix your problem. The last time I called I was transferred three times and ultimately ended up not speaking to somebody who only spoke Spanish. I finally connected with something called an escalation team that was really just another part of a big circular phone ring. I was told a supervisor would call me back but of course that has not happened.Do not use this appliance repair service. Call someone local. The service tech had an attitude from the moment he called ahead to say that he would be at my home in 5 minutes. He arrived in a vehicle with Florida tags and said it was a rental because the company vehicle was broke down. He immediately started complaining because he did not have a helper and told me three times, during the time he was there, that I should have been charged $150.00 more. He used nearly half of a roll of our paper towels for his repairs. He used our phone charger for his phone (he was on his phone for most of the time he was there with multiple people while doing the repairs to our fridge). He used our powder room and trashed it leaving water all over the floor, walls and fixtures. It was NASTY to have to clean up. He left all of the trash/debris for me to take care of. When he finished, I questioned why the balance I was asked to pay was more than I was quoted. He said I would have to take this up with Sears Appliance Repair (Can't speak with anybody at that number!!). A few days later I received another part for the fridge (already had this part before he arrived and he used it on the repair). So I was charged for the same part twice revealing why my balance was more than I was quoted. All of the above was EXTREMELY unprofessional and then he had the nerve to note on the final statement "Homeowner was very rude and was not happy with the price". I noticed that my fridge was leaking so I called Sears to send a tech out to our home. I figured it made sense because it was a Kenmore fridge.It came with the house when we bought it so it was a little hard to predict the issues that could come up. My terrible experience with Sears began when I called. The rep that I spoke with spent the bulk of the call trying to get me to buy a extended warranty for all of my appliances. I think I told her no about 6 times before she dropped it. She explained that it would be $99 for a tech to come out and the repair would be extra. On the day of the service, the tech arrived and together we discovered that the copper water in-take's bolt (that connected it to the fridge) had just come loose and was indeed not broken. I left my wife to settle up with the tech and I went back to work. I surprised to find out later that the final total of the bill was 270.00. I tried calling to speak to someone but the rep (same one I spoke to to schedule the visit) recorded my concern and said someone would reach out to me within 24hrs. She was correct about that. About a day later, I received an email stating that they would not be issuing me a refund. No one attempted to contact me. No one attempted to hear my concern over their service. This is the second time I've made the mistake of using Sears Hone Service or Repair. I will definitely never make that mistake again. read more

your convention microwave the power is gone before 24 hour is non-working right now we need help to the microwave fix it anytime please

On 4/13/20, we scheduled service for our Kenmore dishwasher. The appointment was scheduled for 4/22/20. This morning, we received an email that the tech would arrive at 315pm and a separate text message that the tech would arrive between 3-5pm. We promptly wrote back to say thank you. At 530pm today, without anyone arriving, we contacted the tech who reported that the call was removed from his route. No one called us. When I reached out to Sears, and with lots of complaining, we were offered a new appointment between 8a-5pm on 4/28/20! This is disgusting customer service and we subsequently cancelled the next appointment. For reference, Sears order number 000614141625479.
