Sears home service is a scam. They scheduled over an 8 hour window on a Monday. Called him, he said he was just there and no one answered, then said his bad, he had one more stop before he got to me, then 2hrs after the window closed told me he wasn't even scheduled to come see me. I checked the receipt and the fraudsters ordered parts, charged me for them, charged me for installing them, then after I ran the tracking numbers seen they returned the parts I already paid for and including installation fees with hourly estimate to repair cost. The tech showed up on Tuesday, left after 2 minutes because he said he had to wait for the parts I mentioned they returned and billed me for without doing a minute of work, showed up again and Wednesday. Installed one of the two parts sears ordered and had the dryer running in 2 minutes. Total cost $560, they are total con men. I can't wait for the company to challenge me on this so I can show the receipts read more

Deserves negative stars. This is the worst company we've ever tried to do business with. After a two week ordeal, our washer/dryer is still not fixed. Our first repairman never arrived. When we called him, he told us we were making him late for his next appointment. It was so rude an unprofessional, we couldn't believe it! When we rescheduled for two days later, the repairman came to our home with the wrong part and we had to reschedule again. Another day wasted. We made another appointment an entire week later and when the repairman came, guess what? Still the wrong part. On top of that, when we tried to get in touch with customer service, we got jerked around a phone tree for ages and finally connected to a useless "AI assistant" with an annoying voice that was unable to answer any of our questions. Don't give this company a penny or a minute of your time. They just plain SUCK. read more

Apallingly negative experience. Terrible in every way. The technician overcharged and misdiagnosed the problem on the first visit. When you're already charged $129 for the diagnostic fee so you will feel like you need to proceed with the repair to not waste the money. They will not have any repair parts with them. They will schedule another visit. However, if they make a mistake on the first visit and overcharge you and it still doesn't work, you are out of luck. They will just say you need to make another appointment and pay more for more parts, again not guaranteed to work. You will not be able to get in touch with customer service because it is an AI bot loop. Unless you are looking for a headache, steer clear of this disreputable company. read more

Sears gave us a bad experienc. Both technicians misdiagnosed the problem with our fridge. The wrong part was ordered and had to be returned. Then we were told 4 parts had to be replaced. and we needed a new fridge. Not true! Fortunately, my husband decided to get a second opinion and we paid less than $400 for a Freon refill and a service call from another company. In addition Sears customer service is all automated and we are still trying to cancel their home warranty and get our service call fee refunded. WORST service ever! read more

Today is December 3rd.....coming up on one month since I had an expensive repair done on my refrigerator. There is still nothing resolved. On Monday their AI representative Samantha made an appointment for tomorrow morning between 10 & 2 and gave me a work order number. This morning when I called to confirm the appointment "Samantha" told me there is no upcoming appointment scheduled for tomorrow or any time in the future. The only repair they have on file was for 8 November. Samantha was "unable" to make me a new appointment because it is a continuing repair so I must give them 24 - 48 hours to reply to me by email and approve the repair. I'M DONE WITH THIS COMPANY. HERE'S WHAT I HAVE DONE:. I have now engaged a local repair service to determine what the problem is. I have notified my credit card company to put the payment in dispute. I signed a contract with them in all good faith to repair my refrigerator and they have not done that. Nor have they been of any help at all in attempting to assist. There is no "live person" to talk to ever. The number listed as a point of contact with my credit card company is a discontinued number. My credit card company has suggested that this may be turned over to their fraud department depending on what they find during the investigation. AS I SAID BEFORE.....BEWARE......DO NOT HIRE THIE COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO SPEND COUNTLESS HOURS ATTEMPTING TO RESOLVE A FAILED REPAIR. read more

THIRD NO SHOW - CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS Again, I'd give this a zero if that was an option. This is the THIRD time there's been a no show. Their phone system is impossible and you have to cheat the system to actually talk with a human. It's fair to say this Kenmore fridge is the worst product I've ever purchased and the Sears Home Warranty is the second. DO NOT PURCHASE EITHER. Run. Run fast away from both of these. You'll be so miserable when things go wrong. It's a ticking time bomb and it's guaranteed to go wrong because the product is faulty. LG at least made theirs right as a result of the class action lawsuit. Kenmore is the same fridge and parts under a different brand and no such luck with repairs. This technician is unbelievably unschooled in appliances. His initial diagnosis was that my oven was fine. I had to explain multiple times that the problem is the thermostat. He proceeded to argue with me to the point of near rudeness that my oven does not have a thermostat. After 30 minutes of back and forth, and even after he removed the panel on the back of my stove and declaring there was no thermostat, I located the thermostat in the GE store on Amazon, showed him the photo which is identical to what I pointed out in the oven, and I ordered the part from Amazon. He did not provide an accurate diagnosis for which I paid. read more

The technician Sadiq deserves 5 stars for listening to the customer, diagnosing and solving the problem and having parts available to complete the repair. Mohammed, a prior technician, also deserves 5 stars for his thorough diagnosis of the problem. Although the technicians are good, I give 2 stars due to the frustrating scheduling process and the premature close out of a warranty repair job when the job was not complete. Sears uses AI tools to schedule repairs. First issue - needing to hold an entire day open for an appointment, and not receiving an estimated time until the day of the appointment. This is an unreasonable expectation of customers. Second issue - the AI assistants scheduled time was never accurate. The technicians arrived at different times. Third issue - I have been cancelled THREE TIMES by the AI assistant, after I scheduled an appointment. Fourth issue - the first technician, Mohammed, had told me a part was needed to complete the warranty repair, and he would order it and another appointment would be scheduled. Instead, the claim was closed out. I would NOT recommend Sears to anyone due to these frustrations with the AI that has been implemented to handle the process. read more

The technician took NOTHING apart and only said the error code indicated a control board issue, for which Whirlpool no longer made parts. That same error code could have also been something other than the control board---which he totally ignored. Very convenient. Now mind you, prior to the visit, per their instructions, I texted them the code and never once did they tell me this is a control board issue which we cannot fix. The parts arrived fairly quickly and Sears came out for 2nd visit to replace defective hardware. Sears provided professional service backed by a 90-day warranty. After the technician left, I ran a cycle and water started pouring out of the bottom of the dishwasher. I now have to make another service appointment to get the problem fixed. So... I needed the ice maker on my fridge fixed. I called my home warranty (American Home Shield) to schedule service. I looked up the first contractor, and they had bad reviews so I went with Sears/A&E Factory because they were known back in the day for appliances, and good service. My how things have changed. The tech came, diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, came to install, then the ice maker still didn't work. Diagnosed another problem, ordered the part and set the next appointment for a week later. The part arrived within days. The tech cancelled the subsequent 3 appointments. Now I'm so mad and disappointed and my ice maker still doesn't work. The last appointment cancellation text said "the part wouldn't arrive in time for the appointment." This was after I got an update that the tech was 2 stops away and would arrive between 6pm and 7pm. But....i had the part of at least 3 weeks at that point, I called and tried to tell them that I had the part, so the tech could come. It was 530 at this point. So, how was my tech 2 stops away 10 minutes ago, and the woman (From Sears/A&E Factory) on the phone tells me there were no techs in my area. Lies! Someone is lying. What makes it worse is they give you a window of 7am to 6pm, so you have to sit there all day and wait for them, which means at this point, I've taken 6 days off work to wait all day for a tech. I could have hired someone else or even purchased an entirely new refrigerator with the money/time lost that I had to take off work to wait for appointments which it seemed the scheduled and possibly never intended to complete. When this fiasco is over, I know to never call on Sears for any repairs, and my home warranty company is getting dropped for letting this happen. I have a home warranty with American Home Shield and our LG Dryer needed repair. American Home Shield contracted out to Sears. We were given a full-day window and we waited all day and Sears was a no-show. We telephoned throughout the day for an update, but the phone system does not allow you to speak with anyone. The AHS website does not allow you to send messages. After we had waited all day, we got a notice that our service had been rescheduled for a new day, again, with an 8-hour window. A complete waste of time. And, I can't tell you whether the repair, itself, is even effective. read more

Called for an oil leak, service came here just did a drain and spin cycle and said everything is fine and to clean with vinegar, did the clean several times and called again because of oil stains inside drum, tech came back and said it is normal just to clean it with vinegar as much as needed even if takes a year that is normal to have oil inside the washer machine drum! I made the significant mistake of calling this company for a Bosch dishwasher repair. It showed up when I searched Bosch Repair, I should have looked at Yelp! When the tech arrived I re-verified they were an authorized Bosch repair company as the unit is still under factory warranty. He said yes. The tech glanced at the dishwasher for about 30 seconds and then called someone. The person on the phone seemed to know far more and was directing the tech. I was not getting a warm fuzzy that I had a competent and knowledgable tech at all. After about 5 minutes, the tech walked over and said it will be $700 to fix. He didn't give me any details about what was wrong, what was needed, etc. I told him I believed the unit was under warranty. He told me they just fix appliances and the warranty doesn't apply. UPDATE (next day): The unit is now working without repair. The code was stating software update complete, it just needed to reset. This tech didn't take any time to evaluate the problem. He also sent a written estimate for $550 after asking me to sign for $700. At this point, I asked him to leave as I felt i was being scammed. I refused to pay the diagnostic fee and he told me he'd invoice me and to get a lawyer. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a service company. read more

My washer had no power at all so i called sears home service to diagnose and repair my Whirlpool. the appt. was supposed to be between 8am and 12pm. my wife and i stayed home all day and never saw a repairman but at 4:29pm i got a text saying my repairman was at my house but we must have missed him. I can tell you he was not ever their , i have cameras all over my house and unless he rode with Santa and landed on my roof he was never there.
