Thai Bistro has quickly become one of our favorite spots since moving to Webster. We're originally from Southern California and are pretty picky about Thai food, but this place absolutely delivers. We always order the chicken pad thai, and it's consistently delicious--full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and exactly what we're craving every time. One thing we really appreciate is that they use fresh peppers to spice it up, which makes a huge difference and gives it that authentic, fresh heat we love. The service is just as great as the food. The young ladies who serve here are always friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which makes the experience even better. We stumbled upon this place on our way to St. John Fisher from CT. I had intended a more traditional Rochester area-type dinner (I love MacGregor's wings) with my son when he mentioned Thai. Yelp led us here. Service was ok. Our waitress was attentive when she was around. The bar area was full of high school/early college age (seemingly employee woman) who were all off and just hanging out with one person (in work attire) working the floor. Atmosphere was clean and comfortable and nice. Seemed less like a Thai place specifically. Could also be a salon based on decor. Food was excellent. EXCELLENT. Two dishes (Tom Yum Soup & Crying Tiger appetizer) were the best I've ever had - and I would spend a lot of time in Soul, Shanghai, and Hong Kong for work. Really good. My noodle dish was menued as spicy and was not, and my son's curry dish had the right heat level but was lack-luster on protein to rice to sauce ratio. But the taste and freshness were outstanding. Prices for appetizer portion size leaves me in a quandary. They were delicious. Truly. But a small fortune for the portion. 3 apps, two noodle/curry dishes, and 2 diet cokes was over $100. After we enjoyed the Elmwood location so much and found ourselves in Webster we stopped in for dinner at this location. The staff were very friendly and the service was prompt for only having one server. We ordered the Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles. The taste profile was not the same as the other location. It seemed almost too sweet and not well balanced. It is too bad the recipe or preparation isn't the same across both locations. I rated it 3 stars because of the difference in the food items as well as the conditions in the restaurant itself. The restrooms were not clean and there were boxes stacked along the back of the restaurant and hallway leading back to the bathrooms of what appeared to be supplies for the kitchen and restaurant that should be stored out of sight. A really nice Thai restaurant on Ridge Road in Webster. It's decorated in a classy way with gold accents. I have dined in and taken out from this location and the Brighton one, and the food is great. My go to is the garlic stir fry (almost all of their dishes come with a choice of protein) which has crispy garlic, mushrooms, a few different types of onions, and in my version, big tofu cubes in a garlic sauce. It comes with white rice. My husband and I ate there recently and he got the mango curry which he loved. We shared the veggie spring rolls and the Golden Triangle Puff. These were similar to a samosa - a fried pocket with vegetables inside, served with a dipping sauce (possibly vinegar/cucumber?). I will definitely get these again read more

Solid Thai option in Webster. I regularly order from the Brighton location, but had never been to the location in Webster. I came here with a friend recently for dinner, and really enjoyed the experience. We sat up near the window and it wasn't very crowded, so it felt really nice and cozy. We ordered the vegetable spring rolls (solid, no complaints), chicken larb (it's made with ground chicken, but not as good as my fav Thai place in ROC), Chicken Panang Curry (It was quite spicy this go around), and the Pineapple Fried Rice (I loved the cashews in this dish!). My companion and I shared all of the dishes and had more food than we could finish - had plenty to take home. Service was fast and pleasant. Ordered takeout so can't speak to the dinner service, but it was easy to order online and food is ready in about 30 minutes. The inside looked clean and not too busy when I picked up. As for the food itself, this is probably my favorite Thai restaurant in Rochester. The portions are large enough to share or for 2-3 meals depending on how much you eat. Everything is resonantly priced for the quality and amount too. Highly recommend any of the curries. I'm very picky about which Asian restaurants I will eat at, I usually just end up cooking from home because I'm disappointed but I had an opposite experience here. Didn't start great with online ordering not working so we had to call but food was ready in 15 mins and everything was good. I ordered the massaman curry, my husband a beef stir fry of some sort and vegetable rolls. His didn't clearly say it didn't come with rice and he didn't ask so he ordered rice causing extra but you can never have too much. The curry was good, not spicy at all and his stir fry was extra spicy like he requested. I would definitely come back and try another type of veggie curry. read more

I got seated right away , for 1. After 5 minutes a waitress brought a glass of water, without asking and didn't ask me if I wanted anything else to drink? A couple minutes later came and took my food order. I ordered the Lemongrass Stirfry. It was tasty but only had two bites that I could taste any lemon flavor? Never got asked for a refill of water, (all the ice melted), had to ask for fresh glass with ice in it. I flagged her from the bar (on her phone). I really wanted to like this restaurant. Being new to this city, I am in search of GOOD Thai food in Rochester. And so far, haven't found any. I say this as a Culinary Professional. I took a shot and ordered from Seasoning Thai. Here is what I ordered Large Tom Kha, Large Beef Pad See Ew, Large Shrimp Pad Thai, Shrimp Thai fried Rice and Hit Jungle Beef. Tom Kha- all water, very wet and loose, very little veg in it, no chili oil, zero real flavor. I honestly don't think they even brought out up to temperature. It tasted like water and a can of very watery coconut milk. Poured it in the bowl and never ate it. Pad See Ew. Noodle was cooked perfectly. Had a lot of Umami, but it wasn't natural, you could tell. It was good. And if you can handle MSG, this is ok to order. Shrimp Pad Thai. This was not good at all. Very dry, with just peanut and cold shrimp. No color, I don't think this even hit the Wok. Shrimp Thai fried rice. This was really good. Except the Umami was not natural. You could taste it. Hot Jungle Beef. Tasted good, unnaturally, very wet and soupy, the coconut milk in it tasted uncooked and catered up with unnatural flavor. This all being said, this restaurant seems to skimp on the ingredients, including comprising the quality by covering it up with Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) to increase flavor. To be sure and not assume, I called the restaurant and asked if they used it, and they confirmed that they did, in fact. As I am not against using things for Umami, MSG leaves me with incredible headaches, stomach aches and a swollen tongue that has sore red bumps. And yes, I should've asked before I ordered, I am paying for it today, as the headache began shortly after eating. It is unfortunate that this is the case. I had this on my list of places to try for a long time!!! I only needed dinner for myself one night, so I picked it up from here. My husband and I had different views of the food here. I got the Golden Triangle Puffs because they looked similar to cheese wontons to me. I love those but they usually have crab in them, which I can't eat. Anyway, these were stuffed with potato. They were pretty good. I'd get them again. The sauce with them was really unique; it was sweet and clear. Not what i expected, but also good. However, not necessarily good with the puffs. What I really wanted was the pineapple fried rice, and I have to say, I didn't like it at all. At other Thai places, it's fairly sweet. This was not sweet at all, and the sauce was odd to me. I would never get this again, and I barely even ate any of it. I ate out the tofu and the pineapple. So, I had a lot leftover, and my husband tried it. He loved it, and he ended up eating the rest! He wasn't even the one that wanted it, lol. He likes spicy stuff and I don't. This wasn't really spicy though, and I ordered it not spicy. But he really liked it and I didn't at all. So it's clearly personal preference. I personally wouldn't have come here again, but my husband really liked it. I always get take out food is good. So I went over the week with my friend's. The food was not the greatest so disappointing. None of my friends like their orders My entrée was so hot I started coughing. It was so disappointed. The whole staff was sitting at the bar watching the game. We couldn't get anyone to help us. I had to get up and yell from table. They took my dinner and added more coconut milk to it so it wasn't so hot. My friends took their order with them. They got home they threw it away, the service was so bad they never came to check on us. ignored as our one table , they all sat at the bar watching the game at the bar, we were the only table in the restaurant. My friend said they're never going back .. I'm disappointed embarrassed. They have these young high school kids working who don't have no idea how to be servers. and I think the owners were sitting there or managers were watching TV with them. Finally... Rochester has a Thai Restaurant that actually prepares your order essentially from scratch. So many of the Thai Restaurants in Rochester have become nothing more than "Fast Food" Thai, that serve pre-cooked ingredients that are thrown together when you place your order. You can tell by how the noodles clump and stick together, how bland, or how the vegetables only seem to differ in texture rather than taste, and by how quickly your order arrives. A good meal is always worth waiting for. Seasoning Thai Bistro has become our favorite go to spot for Thai food. The individual flavors of the ingredients in your dish are absolutely vibrant and distinct. These ingredients are also fresh and crisp... not mushy like many older and once respected Thai restaurants are now serving. Some of the sauces here are distinctly different from what I typically associate with Thai food, and some are somewhat sweet. Perhaps these recipes come from a different region in Thailand. In any case, we keep coming back for the fresh, tasty and expertly prepared food. read more

Mmmmmmmm yum! My sister and I ended up doing Christmas Eve takeout from Seasonings Thai (thank you for being open!) and enjoyed absolutely everything. We ordered: fried dumplings, thom yum soup, panang curry, chicken pad thai, mixed vegetables - and everything was glorious. I have to say, I still prefer the pad thai at Thai Mii Up, but the panang curry was absolutely life changing. Creamy with the perfect amount of spice and kick to it. You can adjust spice level based on preference. The location is super convenient right off 104 in a plaza. The staff was super friendly, but may have undershot the amount of time it would take to prepare our food as we did have to wait a decent amount of time upon arrival, not an issue during regular times but not great in the COVID times. I will absolutely be back when I am in the Webster area, and am so grateful to have so many amazing Thai options here in Rochester. read more

The restaurant has a very modern white and golden decor. There is plenty of seating and the service is standard. The food was great. The Crispy Chicken Ga Prom we got was packed with flavor and maintained it's crispness throughout the meal. The fried fish was also very flavorful with a sweet sauce and crunchy crust. If I could give zero star I would! I ordered an item from the menu, Thai fried rice with basil medium spicy. Simple, right? The order that I received was just fried rice with basil. Basically without Thai seasoning. It had no spice in the dish at all! I called back for them to redo the order, and I was denied as such because they said it was a non-menu item. However the person that I spoke to took the order the first time, then another person took the re-order. At no point in time did anyone mention that "it was off menu, and could not be done. I eat at Thai establishments frequently, and this is a staple for my family. The owner hung up in my face when I was trying to explain the discrepancy. Was in search of curry in Webster and I was not disappointed! The staff were extremely helpful and attentive. The curry was honestly quite delicious, one of the best I have had. They are able to adjust the spice level in case your not a fan of spicy. A good variety of choices on the menu from noodle based dishes to rice. They have an assortment of bagged tea to choose from as well as bottled coke made with sugar cane, then your usual canned sodas. Our food was over 30 minutes late and we were told it would be ready at 8;00 instead of 7:30 when indicated online . We ordered two entree items and two app . Person answering phones was rude and told us they were busy and it would be late - we made the order at 6:15pm and added a 20% tip in good faith . When I indicated we may want to get money off of order I was told that was out of her hands. We then received a text that order was ready 2 minutes after getting off of phone. When I called back confused she rudely told me she said 10-15 minutes not 20 and the food was ready despite the fact that we had not left for picku p because that had indicated it would be 20 plus minutes due to their extreme busy night . Horrible customer service overall and I wish this was not the only Thai food option in webster , for a $65 order I would expect kinder response for extremely late food. The food and service was excellent. The lunch menu included extras and I would highly the Tom Yum soup. My friends got the Pad Thai and they loved it. One got chicken and one tofu. Both were excellent. The portions were generous and plated nicely. I got the large Tom Yum soup with shrimp, bean sprouts and extra basil. The flavor was so tasty and exotic. I ordered a couple different things off the menu. The calamari is fake. The papaya salad was not your original papaya salad the Pad see ew was very bad. The beef was big chunks, dry and no flavor. This place took me by surprise! Taking a look at the menu, pictures and reviews ahead of time, I was very excited to plan a trip to this restaurant. We came around 12:30pm, and were greeted then seated immediately. Starting off with a few appetizers, the Crab Cheese Puffs were great! Similar flavours to crab rangoon, but were shaped differently. Also putting an order of the Crispy Fried Calamari in, these were pleasantly great. I'm very cautious when ordering calamari especially if it's rings vs. baby squid with tentacles, but these were surprisingly delicious. The squid was tender, the breading was crisp and it was well seasoned. The last appetizer ordered was the Papaya Salad. This was phenomenal. Crisp papaya, and seasoned with the perfect amount of fish sauce and sweetness. For mains, I ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp. This is the best pad thai I've had from any restaurant. The sauce was spot on, and the flavors were delicious. The Panang Curry w/ Beef was very flavourful and delicious as well. One thing to mention is our server "Maria" was very kind, and constantly checked up on us. We were considering dessert, but unfortunately none was offered for the time being. Maria did mention in a few months, they'll start implementing dessert onto the menu such as one of my favourites, the Mango Sticky Rice. I should mention this restaurant seems to make their food on the sweeter side which is what I prefer. I've found my new favourite Thai restaurant and highly recommend it to anyone. read more

We have had several opportunities to order and pick up. The staff has been very accommodating regarding the varying degrees of spiciness our dining cohort prefers. Ingredients are fresh and our meals have been ready in timely fashion. Especially enjoyable has been the spring roll appetizers (crispy, and delightful with the homemade sauce), every noodle dish but especially the pad see ew, and the "make your forehead sweat" green curry dish. The pineapple fried rice was surprisingly satisfying as a dish to share, full of mild, not hot flavors. For meat eaters, the lamb seems to be a favorite within the special creations menu. Our orders have always been accurately filled. We once got a call asking if it was okay to substitute a rice noodle for a flat noodle due to a temporary inventory issue. Very considerate. read more
