I asked if I could do the lettuce wrap with tofu instead of chicken. They wanted to charge me $5 extra! Tofu does not cost more than chicken. Then I asked for the hummus with veggies instead of pita and was told no substitutions for happy hour items. I chose to not have anything. Always go here while staying at the Weston and we wanna get food by the pool. We've ordered at the restaurant and poolside and liked both times. Though, service can be a bit slow and good pricey for what you get. This last time, I got the chicken lettuce wraps (more like a wedge salad) which was decent and a side of French fries, which were really yummy. My boyfriend and his mom got some buffalo wings, and his dad got a Caesar salad. Their housemade potato chips are good too! While relaxing, we ordered some drinks. In total we got: Westin Squeeze, Summer Hummer, Coachella Breeze, some Mudslides, and a Rum Runner. My favorite was the Coachella Breeze, and I heard the summer hummer was super strong. Thank you to all the attentive staff at Seasons Grill, especially Sol for putting up with me when it got hot outside. It doesn't take much for this NorCal chick to get overheated being in desert land. I enjoyed the shrimp cocktail, paired well with the real "cocktails" in real "glasses" hehe. Thanks for making the drinks strong enough that I forgot about the heat wave, and where I was - Palm Desert/Rancho Mirage is no joke! Was I near Blythe, Barstow, El Centro or Indio? Pretty darn close if Joshua Tree & Coachella Valley are nearby - mucho caliente! Chef Victor Romero makes scrumptious dishes, and we enjoyed our breakfast meals seasoned to perfection. I sure miss the potatoes. Can it get any better than this? On-grounds restaurant near the pool, TV's playing baseball (didn't show the SF Giants), I forget I'm in SoCal. This place offers happy hour everyday, and there's a special drink of the day for $6. I really enjoyed Tuesday's drink of the day "Tequila Sunrise". It was also great to meet their Sommelier Ken who knows his stuff. Most wines were from Napa Valley & Sonoma, nice surprise when I saw DeLoach. We will have to take a rain check for wine tasting next time Ken, so gracious of you. Maybe we'll see you up in SF real soon. Oh. My god. So terrible. Fish & chips, from FROZEN. Gross. Was expecting more for $15. Served with a jiggly scoop of store-bought tartar sauce. Come on now, even mediocre restaurants be makin their own tartar sauce and dressings now. Spaghetti. Lukewarm, wayyyy overcooked spaghetti, bland tomato sauce. Nachos. Cheese was cold and hard when I received it. A measly amount of cold hard chicken sprinkled on top of the already congealed cheese and some canned jalapeños. Sc, guac, and beans served on the side in ramekins. Returned the fish and chips for a chicken sandwich. Sad. Iceberg lettuce, bland tomato, the tiniest smear of "chipotle aioli" and "guacamole." Dry, bland, skimpy. No problems with the service. I don't expect much from restaurants inside hotels, but this was just disgusting. DON'T TRUST THE MENU. I like the food better at the other restaurant on the Westin property. But Seasons was practically right outside our door. The food was good. The bean dip that came with the chips and salsa was ahhhhmazing. The Shamu frozen cocktail was delicious. The other food I had was good, but not particularly memorable. The staff was great. When the corkscrew in our villa decided to give up on life and stop performing it's designated use, they opened our wine bottles for us. read more

This is a really solid dining option while staying at the resort. My husband and I are here twice and got food delivered a third time. The food and service was great every time. They serve salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and a few entree dinner dishes. By far our favorite item on the menu is the salmon BLT sandwich. The restaurant has a nice patio to sit on that overlooks the main pool on the Villa side of the resort. When you are at the pool the servers will walk around taking orders and delivering food and drinks to you while you lounge out. If I'm back at this resort I will definitely choose this place as my primary food destination on the property. read more

Delish! We recently stayed at the villas in which Seasons is located, and dined here a few times. Breakfasts in particular were really delicious. Our favs were the blueberry granola pancakes (adorned with an exceptional citrus fruit salad - he had them twice) and the smoked salmon bagel (paired with tofu and avocado - which I had twice). We were not as jazzed about our lunch options, although everything was pretty good. Poolside, the chicken fingers were quite satisfying. I loved the cheese pizza, but it would probably be too salty for many people. Service was alway great. Do yourself a favor and order an Oreo shake. You're on vacation - live a little! My family and I love this place. We've come here the last 2 years for vacation, and we eat at Season's almost once a day everyday during our stay. Room service, pool service, and dining inside the restaurant is always great. All the servers we've had have been great. Always friendly, and super attentive. Try the Grilled Salmon BLT sandwich. This place has the best happy hour within Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort and Spa, hands down! $3.50 draft beers, extensive food menu, friendly service and is poolside. The only negative is the amount of outdoor seating they offer. Get there early if you want a table outside. Fish tacos are on point!! read more

Ate here twice during a brief stay at Mission Hills Westin Resort and Villas. The food and the service were adequate. Between our party of four we tried the butternut squash soup, hamburger, cod, ahi tuna, and spaghetti and meatballs. As I said the food was adequate but not special. I really did enjoy the cod (although if I had to guess it was cooked from frozen). The wine selection was adequate as well. The menu is definitely not imaginative, and it does not offer a wide selection of dishes -- your basic burger, pasta, fish and one or two varieties of steak, pork, etc.. The venue is casual, but on the pricey side of casual. You definitely don't want to eat here if you are dining on a budget. So, if you are staying here and do not feel like driving out or going to the more expensive steakhouse on the grounds, this is an adequate choice. You will not be wowed by the food, but you won't be disappointed either. I don't know why other reviewers called the venue "upscale" however, it was sort of like a fancy bar with 3 or 4 televisions showing the local tennis tournament. read more

We were staying at the Westin, so we dropped into the Season's Grill. It was not a busy night and service was very personal, friendly, and low key. I had the hamburger and fries, my wife had the salmon salad. Both were very good. The martini's were reasonably priced. The menu is a bit limited, but probably has something that will suit your needs. This is not a high end dining place, and 4 stars would be my rating except for the fact that the server exceeded our expectations. If you're staying at the Westin, give it a try. read more

Our experience started off bad when we arrived for our 6:30 reservation right on time only to discover that they had given our table away. So we had to wait while they dragged a table from inside, out on to the patio in order to accommodate our party of 9. By itself this would have been a small problem but unfortunately it was just the first issue in what would turn out to be a very long and unpleasant experience. after having our menus for all of 1 min, our server asked if we were ready to order. we told her that we needed a little more time but she interpreted this as needing a lot more time since she took about 10 minutes to come back to take our order. Strike 2. We all ordered burgers. No problem right, how can you screw up a burger? Well, you start by taking 35 minutes to bring out. Now i get it if the place is slammed and the kitchen just cant keep up. But there were two tables in the place. There is no excuse for that. But the real bad news is that the burgers had spent all 35 of those minutes on the grill because they were so past well done they were inedible (two of us ordered medium by the way). Now I hate being that guy, but back they went. 30 minutes later, they came back. This time it was much closer to medium and since I was starving by this point I ate it. It was 8:00 by this time. 90 minutes to get a burger. Unbelievable. Now, had the night ended here it would have been bad enough, but then the check came and on it was an automatic 18% gratuity since we were a party of 8 or more. ARE YOU SERIOUS???!!! I was so angry I signed the check and left, afraid I would get myself in trouble if i didn't get out of there. Literally the worst restaurant experience i have ever had. read more

I have been coming to this resort location for a while. The grill has always been great until this last visit. We were a party of 5 at the pool which is adjacent to the grill. We ordered drinks first and then proceeded to order lunch. The lunches came and unfortunately the mac and cheese was a few pieces of cheese in the center that needed to be mixed with the elbow macaroni. Let's just say it was not that great. I ordered a burger which I only ate half because it was not that good. The problem is that the server charged us the gratuity in the bill without merit. She claims that we had 6 in the party when she knew the two sets of twins I had with me alone. The manager called a few times to verify and mentioned that incorrect fact. As I called him back to verify her statement, I was out in hold for over 20 minutes and hung up on 3 times. Spoke to manger after the entire issue and he of course apologized but I was to upset with the service I received and the quality of food. read more

My family decided to go to our hotels restaurant a few days ago. We have been at the hotel before, so we went in knowing we were getting decent food for a decent price. If I was judging based on that, I would have given a 4 out of 5 stars. The reason I am giving it a 2 out of 5 stars has nothing to do with their food, nor their location. It has to do with their lack of communication and inability to follow through on basics. When we walked in we noticed it was a pretty busy night, but with our reservation and noticeably busy employees, we were confident everything would go smoothly. After being seated, we were given water at least 15 minutes later. Not only did it take 15 minutes to get water, but when we got the water, not everyone received one. Only about three people did. After about half an hour we were able to all have water and ask for drinks. It took about 25 minutes to get a coke. From that point on, we knew to expect everything to take a while to be made. In the end, I would say that a restaurant should be able to come up to you and say, "Sorry for the inconvenience, we will be getting your food out to you as quickly as we can.", as well as be able to pour water for the customers, instead of the customers doing it themselves. In all honesty, you are better off spending your money elsewhere on a busy night. read more
